Ascain, August '24

Pascale is a great host, very attentive and friendly. The house is lovely, perfect for a family of 4, with a beautiful garden to relax in. We would stay again and certainly recommend. Ascain is a superb location for visiting the local area, including into Spain. We hadn't been to the Basque Country before and there is so much to do without travelling too far afield. This property had a no deposit refund policy. After booking, we were advised that bedding was an extra €100 and that a breakage deposit of €150 was required, with us being responsible for cleaning. Whilst this wouldn't have stopped us from booking, in our experience this differs from other Vrbo houses we have booked and could be made clearer on the 'details' page prior to committing.

Un endroit calme, vert, un accueil chaleureux.

Un merci aux propriétaires de leur accueil. un lieu très bucolique, la majorité des ingrédients sont là pour un moment de villégiature bien reposant... vous pouvez même dormir fenêtre ouverte la nuit, le silence est bien présent. Pascale est toujours aux rendrez vous, pour vous donner tous les conseils nécessaires pour profiter au mieux de ce fameux Pays Basque... profitez du Festival Ravel entre autre ....

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans cette petite maison aménagée avec gout située dans un magnifique jardin. L'accueil de la propriétaire est des plus chaleureux. Le village est très bien situé et permet de profiter tant du littoral que des beautés de l'intérieur du pays basque

Une propriété au calme !

Profitant du congé estival en août 2022, j'ai pu découvrir une propriété charmante, colorée par ses fleurs, sa rivière proche...et, avec de la chance, une famille de chevreuil sauvage (!) . Un bon endroit pour se ressourcer. Pas loin de St Jean de Luz tout en évitant le monde de touristes. Un remerciement à sa propriétaire, attentionnée et très sympathique.

Charmante location dans un très beau cadre

Très belle location typique Basque très bien agencée dans un cadre magnifique et verdoyant, très au calme et donc très reposant. Il ne manque rien. Très bien située entre montagne et océan avec de beaux endroits à parcourir. Très bon accueil des propriétaires avec de très bons conseils pour les promenades. Propriété de charme au coeur d'un merveilleux jardin

Excellent séjour dans une maison ancienne restaurée avec goût et confortable, grâce à de charmants propriétaires, accueillants et aux petits soins. Repos de qualité dans le cadre d'un immense jardin vert et fleuri à la nature préservée (chants de grenouilles, visite d'un héron et d'une famille de chevreuils), à l'abri d'un rideau d'arbres. Situation idéale pour rayonner dans le Labourd, profiter des paysages et des villages de l'intérieur et goûter à toutes les spécialités du pays basque. Accueil très sympathique partout tout au long de notre séjour et durant nos visites.

L'accueil très attentionné et le charme de la maison ont contribué à un très bon séjour à Ascain ! Le jardin est extraordinaire ! L'emplacement est idéal pour découvrir la région. En très peu de temps on rejoint Espelette, St Jean de Luz, biarritz, Hendaye...excellents souvenirs

Cadre idyllique et bien placé pour rayonner

Endroit plein de charme, la propriété est superbe et idéale pour se reposer dans un cadre naturel avec une nature très présente. Idéalement positionnée, nous avons pu rayonner dans tout le pays basque des deux côtés de la frontière, et profiter tant du côté océan que montagne. Enfin, nous avons été très gentiment accueillis et conseillés tout au long du séjour. Idéal pour une famille de 4 personnes, nous recommandons chaudement !

Lovely property in a very interesting area

We loved our stay in Ascain. The house is pretty and the kitchen is very well equipped. The gardens of the property are amazing and the house is a very good base for outings in the area. Ascain is a pretty village a short drive away. The beach of Saint-Jean de Luz is close by and is great for families. The train de la rhune is just up the road. San Sebastian is great for a day trip.
