We loved everything about our stay. The cottage was perfect for two, had all the amenities we were after, and the location was ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet with an astounding view. Our stay was 7 days and we’d planned excursions to Seattle, Victoria, whale watching, etc but we ended up staying local enjoying the hiking trails, small town lunches, and walking out our door and just a few minutes to the beach. Communication with host was excellent! Highly recommend.
Excellent summer stay with glorious Hood Canal view
We booked an extended stay at the cottage and loved our time there. The hosts were very respectful of our privacy when on site and when a few issues came up, responded quickly. We loved the outdoor amenities- plenty of sitting options including a swing, my favorite place to relax. Cottage was comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen worked out fine for meals, small but efficient. For dinners out, the casino dining room served delicious crab caught by tribal fishermen. Also loved the taco truck Tuesdays with fry bread savory and sweet tacos. Kingston has good dining out options too. Hood Canal Brewery was a favorite and Hansville Grill for tasty sandwiches, ice cream and a chill waterfront vibe. Highly recommend
Beautiful property with incredible views from the rental. The property is high bank waterfront, and a short walk down the road will take you to the sandy beach. Lots of places to enjoy the view on the landscaped yard, including a fire pit. There are a couple of other rentals on the same property, so we didn't have the stunning landscaped yard to ourselves. We had no complaints about that, though - our stay was peaceful and we really enjoyed our time. The owner was welcoming and accommodating, getting wood ready for the firepit at a guest's request when we arrived. The rental is comfortable and equipped with a full kitchen but there were some basics missing that made it hard to use. No turning spatula to use with the pans, no slotted spoon or strainer for those things cooked in water, no plastic wrap for leftover food, etc. Also, there are no small appliances other than the coffee maker. We made a trip to the local dollar store and left a spatula, slotted spoon, etc. for the next guests, but if you want toast you will have to make it in a frying pan. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
Such a beautiful spot! It was an amazing place to kickback and do nothing. Wish it had a bigger bed but still got a good night sleep everynight. The view was just so beautiful. We would definitely come again.
Quiet, clean and spectacular view from the property! Great place to unwind. Cozy and clean! Great location in a secluded part of Hansville. Easy access to other areas too!
I had never been to Hansville so I was not sure if we were going to like it. This place was so nice right on the Water. Big trees and beautifully landscaped. Flowers all over the property. I would definitely recommend staying here. It was heaven on earth. There are pleaty of thing to see near by.
Such a wonderful place, comfortable, and beautiful view and gardens. Very welcoming for family. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay, met some wonderful people and were able to relax. Will definitely pass on to others.
This is a very relaxing place with wonderful views of mountains and the Hood Canal just below you. The flower gardens surround you. We were very comfortable, and would recommend this rental.
Great stay. Quiet and peaceful property with all of the necessary amenities. Really beautiful views of the sound and sunset and a bottle of wine to top it all off!
If you want a close-to-the-city getaway with great water/mountain views and the most comfortable bedding ever, this is it! We stayed in Cottage D, which was beautifully and thoughtfully appointed by the owners (who live on premise). A short walk to the beach, and very private. We loved our stay and will make plans to return.
Bradley was a welcoming host and was very responsive to messages and a phone call leading up to our stay. Perfect getaway for a couple or small group. We enjoyed our quiet stay and found the cabin to have the amenities we needed. Close to some lovely rainy-day hikes and shell-fishing if the conditions are right. We will keep this location in mind for future trips to the Kitsap Penninsula!
The property is gorgeous, and it was very close to family we wanted to visit. We were there during cold weather, which limited our ability to sit outside--the property really is set up for outdoor relaxation. A few minor additions to the living area would improve the overall comfort - small things like a table lamp, coffee table, a few throw pillows, and an area rug would make it a little more homey. We used our cooler as a coffee table, since there wasn't really a good place to sit and eat. None of this might have mattered if hadn't been so cold outside!
This was our first ever VRBO experience and it was amazing. Bradley sees to all of the little things that make it so inviting and comfortable - coffee, bottled water in the fridge, popcorn, a bottle of wine if you choose. The property and view are gorgeous. The bed was comfortable. The only complaint I could possibly make is the living room furniture - it isn’t the most comfortable but does it really matter when you can sit outside in a lounge chair and enjoy the view. We will be back.
This place was perfect for a friend of mine and I to catch up for a night. The space was comfortable and beautiful. You couldn’t ask for a better view. The owner was very responsive to questions and addressed a couple of minor issues at check in quickly. The kitchen had just enough cooing supplies but no extras. If you are planning to cook with any of unusual supplies be sure to bring them. A perfect getaway space!
Beautiful property with a great view. The bed was very comfortable. The couch was not comfortable and was about 6 inches off the floor so if you’re prone to knee is wouldn’t be a place to sit. The owner was responsive and provided a complimentary bottle of wine.
