Luxury Upper Davos Retreat - Family Friendly - Sleeps 8

This luxurious vacation retreat built in late 2018 is tucked away on a quiet street with vacant lots on both sides and backs to a very private forest-like setting in the lower section of Tahoe Donner. There are great views of the tall pine trees. An abundance of large windows throughout the cabin offers plenty of natural lighting.

The main level has a large, open great room with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and stone gas fireplace. The sitting area has large sectional sofa & 75” TV with cable service & Blue-ray player. WiFi is accessible throughout the cabin.

The great room has spacious gourmet kitchen and large dining table with seating for eight and four bar stools at the kitchen island.

Downstairs level has a family room with 55" TV and sofa. The Master Bedroom has 55" TV and gas fireplace.

Game Room has 65" TV & assortment of games for kids.

The Bed Configuration is as follows:
Master Bedroom - Cal-king w/ensuite (Downstairs)
BR2 - Queen (Downstairs)
BR3 - Bunk w/twin top -Full bottom & separate Twin (Downstairs)

Maximum number of parking spaces available - Inside garage - 2 vehicles, Outside - 2 vehicles.

Guest passes are available for a nominal fee per person to the nearby Tahoe Donner Recreation Center which offers a family swimming pool, year-round lap pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, golf, 11 tennis courts and fitness center with daily classes.

For winter guests, our cabin is a short distance to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Tahoe Donner (Downhill & X-country), Sugar Bowl, Boreal Ridge and Royal Gorge (X-country, & snowshoeing). Tahoe Donner was voted the “Best Cross Country Center in North Lake Tahoe & Truckee” by the Sierra Sun, and the "#2 Cross Country Ski Resort in North America" by USA Today, Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center (TDXC) spans more than 2,800 acres in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains.

For late spring, summer and early fall guests, Tahoe Donner offers golfing, swimming, hiking, mountain-biking, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing and horseback riding. Donner Lake and Donner State Park are a few minutes away and beautiful Lake Tahoe is nearby.

Wonderful home, lovely stay

Thanks so much for letting us stay at your lovely home! It was everything advertised and more. The home was clean and well stocked. Our kids loved playing in the yard. We were fortunate to have had fresh snowfall. It was absolute heaven! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Our kids were so sad to leave- they had the best time! We hope to come back again!

Another great stay

This was our second time in this beautiful and modern home. It continues to be spacious, comfortable, and well designed for kids. Check-in is easy, garage is large and designed for the snow. The mud room is convenient. There are countless games for the kids. We'll continue to stay here in the future.

Luxury in Tahoe-Donner

This is a fantastic property. It is newly remodeled, well laid out, and spacious, with wonderful amenities, games, and electronics. It has a flat driveway and a great 2-car garage. Mark, the host, was very accommodating and responsive. It is a short drive to Tahoe-Donner and a short drive to downtown Truckee. We would stay here again.

Wonderful

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. The beds were comfy, and everyone enjoined the gathering spaces. My kids very much appreciated the game room. The kitchen was very well stocked. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the internet. Overall, it was a great property. We hope to stay here again in the summer.

Wonderful Stay

We had a quick weekend trip up to this home to celebrate my mom and SILs birthdays and we had a wonderful stay. We chose this home because it looked really nice in the photos, but it’s even better in person! It’s so beautiful and it has a great layout and is so spacious! The house was easy to get to and the guide the owner sent prior to our stay had very clear instructions for everything. The binder and labeling in the house were both really handy as well. Access to the garage and the door codes worked every time (I’ve stayed in a few others where we’d the code wouldn’t work consistently and it was frustrating, so this was a plus). The deck is really nice and it’s so peaceful out there with lots of shade. We didn’t use the passes to the amenities, but we did have dinner at The Lodge on the golf course and it was amazing too. It’s only a quick 2 hour drive from home, but we’d definitely stay here again!

Donner guest house

We loved our stay and will be on the lookout to stay here again. We were two families (4 adults, 4 kids, ages from 9-12). We skiied at Diamond Peak and Donner, and sledded at Donner, using the guest pass. It was really nice to have the guest pass - Donner skiing was open only to members when we went. Sleeping. The kids loved the bunk bed and rotated so that three of them got a turn on the top. A full size, the lower bunk is not enough room for two big kids to sleep comfortably together, so one kid slept on the couch between the bedrooms downstairs. There is a pullout sofabed upstairs, but the kids did not try it. Adults slept comfortably in the king and queen. The king has memory foam and down toppers, which was particularly comfortable. The queen did not. Everyone liked the fleece sheets. Fireplaces. There gas fireplaces in the master bedroom and the living room are lovely and warm. With the nest heat, they were more for ambiance than heat. Kitchen. Nice appliances and basic equipment/ utencils. Very comfortable to cook/ be in. Decent spice rack for a rental. The owner let us dig out the propane grill which had been winterized, which was perfect. Entertainment. Kids loved the game room and we all had fun snuggling in front of the fire watching dvds. Communication. The owner responded fast, was helpful, and fair. He warned us in advance of an internet problem, gave us a chance to cancel (we did not), and worked with us to get the problem fixed. Strongly recommend!

Perfect Family Home

Our family of five with three young children had a wonderful time. Home feels brand new. Loved the layout including the rec/ game room for the kids. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Beautiful kitchen and we love the outdoor space with two dining tables.

Beautiful, immaculate, very well equipped and comfortable home in a great location. Layout and amenities were great, especially with the kids. Guest access to Tahoe Donner was an added bonus to relax by the lake and pool. Communication with Mark was great and informative. Will definitely be back.
