The southeast of Friesland is known for its forests. The village Zandhuizen is centrally located in relation to National Park Drents-Friese Wold and National Park Oranjewoud. The forest behind the B & B is ideal for walks and also has riding trails. You have the possibility to take your own horse to the B & B.
The 2 bedrooms are located in the in 2006 built residential B & B farm on the entire first floor. There is also a little library on the first floor. You can also use the iron here and can, if needed, use an extra bed (2 persons) and a cot.
In Noordwolde, the adjacent village at a 5-minute drive, you find the National Braiding Museum. A museum located in the former Rijksrietvlechtschool. The museum shows the social and cultural history of Noordwolde as a braiding village. In this village you will find several shops and also a café, tea garden and trout pond.
From the B & B you can reach Leeuwarden, Groningen or Assen in 40 minutes.
