This is a beautiful property close to riding and hiking trails. The owner warmed the house up just prior to our arrival; checked on us to see if we needed anything and gave us some tips for enjoying the area.
My seven friends and I stayed at the bunkhouse for a ski trip at White Pass. Jon and Kathy were super communicative for check-in. Our group absolutely loved the bunkhouse set up, proximity to the mountain, and accessibility to great local restaurants. We cooked most of our meals here during our stay and the kitchen was well-equipped. We really liked that there were two bathrooms. The huge couch and kitchen island made for some fun game nights too. We had a minor hiccup with some of the appliances/water pump, but Jon was instantly jumping into action to help us fix the issue and was very apologetic. Overall, we loved staying here and would love to come back during hiking season (as Kathy recommended).
The set up for this rental was ideal for our group w open kitchen and social area and two bathrooms w showers. Our stay was great and we enjoyed all the amenities and the view!
This bunkhouse is wonderful! We were a group of 7 friends and loved the open floorplan. It was great for hanging and cooking. Great proximity to White Pass and gorgeous gorgeous location. We will be back!
Had a great time here! Made for good quality time with friends. Would stay here again.
Only issue was the microwave not working. Might have something to do with the outlet.
I rented the bunkhouse for a Christmas break ski trip with my teens. It was absolutely perfect! They each brought a few friends. The bunk house is beautiful, beds are comfortable and there was plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together. About a 45 minute drive up for skiing. Kitchen is well stocked and just a short (less than 10 minutes) drive to Bron Yur Aur for some great pizza. We are already planning a trip again next year!
This place was really clean and nice. The amenities were perfect. The only wish I had was for a BBQ grill, but I realize that might be a tad risky. :-).
I would recommend this for a small group conference or retreat.
My family and I loved staying here. The views were amazing. The kitchen came with everything we needed. The bathrooms were awesome. The kids loved all the beds. It was nice to come our first day and the parking area and entrance were freshly plowed. I cant wait to come back here.
We had a wonderful time sharing the bunk house with our family friends! It was nice having 2 bathrooms/showers for getting ready in the morning. The kitchen was large and very accommodating for cooking.
The location was great for accessing white pass skiing. (45 min)
We hope to return next year!
Thank you!
Awesome property. Clean, quiet, cool (AC) and beautifully renovated. Close to all kinds of outdoors activities. Kids really enjoyed playing in the river on the property the best. All to ourselves. What a nice setting for weddings and other events.
The description of the property almost undersells the experience. The bunkhouse is accurately described: very good quality new construction and clean. However, there is a giant well maintained grass area directly in front of the home (away from the highway). At least 300 yards by 300 yards. Unlimited space to play any game. The property also abuts the Naches River which you can float or dip your toes into. Additionally, the natural beauty of the landscape is incredible with the property located within a valley for both sunset or sunrise. Although the highway is somewhat near, this property felt very secluded and very peaceful. This is a great place for a group of people young and old; to gather and enjoy some relaxing outdoor time. A gem.
This property is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of a busy town/city. The bunkhouse is an absolute gem for having large groups of people stay in 1 building, as long as you don't mind the occasional snoring. The layout of the bunkhouse makes it a great place to stay for us as a school, we roomed all of our male students and advisers in there. There was ample space for all of our activities and the large open kitchen made it simple to feed many hungry mouths! Each bed has a reading light and plugin for charging devices, and the 2 bathrooms make it easy for a large group to get ready in the morning. The beds are comfy and clean sheets each time we have stayed there. Having the ability to walk directly out back and have the run of a large mowed field was great for them to burn off energy! We also had access to a short trail along the canyon wall that provided a great overlook of the valley.
The only thing that some people would find as a down fall is cellphone reception, AT&T has 0 reception up in the valley, while Sprint and Verizon have spotty service. This was great for us since the kids were then devoted to spending time together bonding and practicing for their competitions.
There are also may outdoor recreational activities within close driving distance, such as the Boulder Caves Trail, which is definitely a must if you are driving over Chinook Pass.
I would and have stayed here on multiple occasions, and plan on staying again next year! The hosts are easygoing and great to work with.

Hi, My husband and I met in 1976 and instantly fell in Love! We married in 1981 at St. Paul's Cathedral in Yakima Wa. Don has had a successful career as a musician since he was 18 years old. He Toured with his band Bazooka Joe around Canada and the Northwest, eventually becoming a solo artist. I supported my husbands dream while establishing a career in Dental offices. We have two wonderful children, a daughter and a son. In 1985 we purchased my husbands family farm and after years of farming, we decided to fix up the Homestead Cabin. Our days are spent enjoying the beautiful property and running our wedding business that has grown into something wonderful.
