Serenity abounds in this secluded, woodland home, where you'll find a private hot tub on the two-level deck, a well-appointed outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and a wet bar, and a firepit and swing at the water's edge.

This charming, lakefront cabin is tucked away in the lush woods six miles southwest of Blue Ridge, where you'll find shops, restaurants, brewpubs, and festivals in a lovely small town setting. The Benton MacKaye Trail awaits on the other side of Indian Rock Lake, and the nearby Ocoee River is ideal for rafting, kayaking, and tubing excursions. When you're not fishing in the lake, you'll also be six miles southwest of the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and 14 miles northeast of Ellijay - the home of the annual Georgia Apple Festival.

Very pet friendly.

We were not traveling with pets but the house is very friendly to that. Had a strong odor of pets when we first got there and turned the heat up. Very far off the main road. Secluded but not that private. Cabin has everything you would need (no dishwasher).

Such a cute cabin

Cabin is so cute and well appointed and very very clean. The lake and the fishing dock is a great plus we did catch and release so I didn’t have to clean the fish. Very relaxing certainly go back to that cabin again.

Quiet and cozy

This is a quiet secluded cabin. The hot tub and grill are amazing. We recommend stopping by the blue ridge flea market and visiting the holland farms truck to grab some fresh meat for the grill.

Great hideaway!!

This is a great place to go and relax. Very close to anything you may need. It is very clean! We will definitely be back. Thank you for opening your cabin to us!! I will say the driveway is gravel and a little steep. I would definitely recommend a all wheel drive or four wheel drive. This is common when staying in the mountains. Can't wait till next time!

Anniversary Getaway

My husband & I stayed at Lil Beaver for our first anniversary and we completely unplugged from what was at home. It was amazing. The cabin was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, cozy. The hot tub was an absolute necessity haha. The view of the pond was glorious. Having access to downtown blue ridge was an additional bonus. We hope to stay here for years to come. We have found our perfect hideaway.

Great place

Great place, wish the beds could be bigger but the rooms wouldn’t accommodate a bigger bed. Plenty of dishes, cookware and utensils but no spices. Bring your own. Drive up was a little worrisome but made it in a car, I’m an experienced mountain road driver so I knew what to look for. Very dog friendly, but doggy was board when we spent the “15 minutes” in the hot tub. Local dinning is very dog friendly as well.

Great place for a secluded getaway!

The property was just right, BUT I got a bunch of food to grill out and only one side of the grill worked unfortunately. Beautiful home and the kids loved the jacuzzi. There’s was a bit of a musty smell when we arrived. We just left the door open and aired it out. Some wall air fresheners would do the trick though. Overall, this was a great place and we had an awesome time!

Cabin stay

Cute cabin on the mountain in the woods. Can be tricky to navigate due to small unlit roads with many turns - but that’s also part of the appeal. My only suggestion would be updated interior lighting - it is VERY dimly lit inside. My only complaint is in the wording of the title of this place. It is a large stretch to say it’s located on a ‘lake.’ It’s a pond that you cannot fish, swim or otherwise play in. Only look at, which is fine but the word ‘lake’ is misleading. We never figured out how to lock the cabin door when we left. To be fare, we did not even attempt to contact management about this as it seemed to be a safe area. Finally, the last night of our stay, we had a bear visit. He/she knocked over both trashcans and was able to get in one due to broken latch & drug the trash up the mountain behind the propane tank. Because we left before 6a we did not have time to pickup the trash in the dark. Our apologies to the cleaning staff or whomever cleans it up. We would stay again.

Not what we expected

The cabin was not very clean and I even found old dog poop on the floor in the cabin and dirt in the hot tub. There were several yellow jacket next on the lower level and two members of the family got stung. It is very noticeable seeing them flying around. We had to get flying insect killer to make it past the weekend. The cabin is really small and the bed are full size so really not big enough for couples. The steps are very slippery when wet which will happen all the time and should add safety strips to steps.

Great little getaway!

We had a great weekend getaway with our girls. After reading the reviews I was nervous about the driveway, but we didn’t have any issues in my SUV. We enjoyed the pond and caught several little fish. We saw lots of wildlife and it was nice and quiet. The house itself is small, but worked for us. I took off one star because of the couch in the living room. We ended up having to blow up our air mattress just so we could all lounge in the living room to watch TV together. A sectional should definitely be in this space (as it is in the pictures). Otherwise, this was a great little cabin!

LIL Beaver has BIG Charm

We needed a quick getaway and this location was a perfect spot for it. The lake view and the large bottom deck were a major plus for us. The lake was fully stocked with fish for my husband to relax, catch and release them and any burden that needed to be released. We would definitely stay again and refer friends.

The beds were amazing. Great place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The driveway was rough to get in and out of. Everything else was perfect. Very comfortable for 4 people. It was very clean and comfortable. Great internet service and smart TVs in all rooms with various streaming platforms.

Anniversary Stay

The bad review here is equally the part of the host. If I could have given 0 stars for the communication with host I would have. The property no longer looks like the inside pictures. The furniture in the living room is dirty, stained, and smelly. The outdoor kitchen was basically nonexistent, no fridge and the cabinets were all full of junk/garbage. The inside kitchen had multiple under the cabinet lights that were burn out. and the house smelled like a cross between a wet dog and a bottle of Pin Sol. There was shards of broken glass on the top deck and trash left in containers on the down stairs deck. The bathroom and kitchen itself was clean but the baking dishes and such were greasy and gummy. When we contacted VaCasa to resolve the issues, their answer was to be sending cleaning/maintenance people out well after 6:00 P.M. on Saturday night. We arrived at the property after 4:00 that afternoon. When the VaCasa representative was pressed for an alternate plan, such as a refund, she informed me that I was being rude with her on the phone,. She said that she did not have to take that from me, so she hung up. Never in all my years of renting vacation homes, through several different orginizations, have I ever been treated this way by a host. Suffice if to say that I will never rent again through VaCasa and my friends that have rental properties have been told to never let VaCasa handle it.
