Shelter Island is a lovely island community situated at the end of the North Fork of Long Island. Reachable by ferry only, it can be approached by the town of Greenport to the north and Sag Harbor to the south. The Ferry runs 18 hours a day and takes less than 10 minutes for each crossing.
Shelter Island has a lively summer community, with great restaurants, art shows and the Perleman Music Center, which offers free classical musical performances throughout the summer and fall. Ample opportunity for sailing and boating, hiking, bicycle riding, and other activities.
