The house was built around 1930 and was renovated in 2013. It is a typical house in a location with a privileged view over the right bank of the Douro river and the city of Porto. Located in Afurada, a small fishing village in Vila Nova de Gaia, within walking distance of Porto's Historic Center and Porto Wine Cellars.
A short distance from Douro Marina and near the Douro Estuary Nature Reserve, located on the south bank of the river. The reserve is the place for the shelter and nesting of many birds.
