Amazing

This place has a soul. It's cozy. The views are fabulous. The double beds would make Princess on the Pea happy. The underfloor heating makes it extra warm. The extra touches (like little bars of soap and laundry capsules) make you feel like it was your mother who prepared it for you. You can easily forgive the tiny imperfections (e.g. absence of a draining board) for the tremendous character and atmosphere.

Amazing

This place was so great! The space is perfect. It feels very cozy because it's separated by three floors but there is plenty of space. It's very tranquil and you feel like you're alone in the woods. There's plenty of wood and the fire is so nice. The upstairs had lots of sleeping space and the downstairs room is super comfortable. The couch on the main level even pulls out to a bed. There are decks in front and back. It's close to Silver Fir where I love to ski. We were so happy to be able to watch Tulsa King and Landman! The kitchen had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay and will come back again for sure!!

Not what was expected.

On arrival the house was pretty cold. I realized the main form of heat is the wood stove with only a few small space heaters. There was no kindling cut or paper to start a fire and we had to improvise. Carpets are very dirty and the couch has lots of stains.

Long weekend

House is a bit smaller than it appears online and the spiral stairs weren’t the easiest to deal with…problem only because navigating them after a 100 mile race proved difficult. I’m probably the only one with that problem though. Otherwise it was great, very pretty area and competitively priced. Would definitely recommend this house considering the pricing of all the other available places in the area.

NOT a downhill Ski in Ski out

First of all it has to be said that this is not a Ski-in/out in terms of downhill skiing. I would say this is very misleading given the fact that is it very close to the mountain and yet you cannot see the exact location of the house until after you book it. Second, when we arrived at the house it had not snowed for 2 days and was raining and yet there was still 8" of mushy nasty snow in the drive that never got cleared for us prior to arrival. Our 4 wheel drive vehicle almost did not make it up the driveway, and one time slid back down the driveway on its own. I asked the maintenance to come clear it and was told there was a shovel that I could use to take care of it myself. After texting them several times, they finely came to plow the snow the day before we were checking out. The house itself is great. A bit rustic in terms of heating and a very much up north cabin feel that we really like. I give this house a 5 star review, but the description and the issue with the snow really put a sour taste in everyone's mouth.

Ski get away

This was a cute, cozy ski getaway! The other reviewers are right about needing an SUV in snowy weather and about the stairs but if you’re up for those things, it’s a great spot to ski snowshoe or hike from. Also close to all of the Snoqualmie resorts and a few cute restaurants.

Winter wonderland adventure with friends

We (5 kids and 3 adults) had a fabulous time at the cabin. Excellent location, lots of fun for adults and kids. Children's play area with toys, thoughtfully designed living room, sleds, shoe drier, washer and dryer. Some guests mentioned cold, but we were always warm (during cold weather and snowfalls) with heaters and a great wood-burning oven. Hope to come back soon! Please don't raise the price, you are the most affordable rental in the neighborhood :)

Had a great time

Our group had 2 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog. The teens stayed in the bunk room and loved it! There was a small issue before we arrived, but the host called to let us know before we arrived and the communication was great. We would stay again.

Family Reunion

We didn’t spend a lot of time during the day because we spent it at my cousin’s cabin for a family reunion. It was nice to have a place away. I was able to cook up most of the ingredients for a large egg and sausage bake. The house had everything I needed. The multiple staircases were a little straining for my sister. She had been attacked by 5 pit bulls a few years back so she stayed on the 2nd floor. Everything worked out great.

Beautiful Setting!

Very nice A-frame with gorgeous views. Decor is somewhat dated and the cabin could use better lighting, but the owners supplied everything you might need, including a well outfitted kitchen, plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, laundry detergent, toiletries, games, videos, and toys for kids. A great place to stay!

Beautiful, quiet location close to the Interstate for easy travel to Seattle area or Eastern Washington. Owner has outfitted the cabin with everything you might need while on vacation! Just wish there were curtains on windows in living room and on the side windows of upstairs master bedroom.

Ski Week Trip

We loved our week at this lovely cabin. We spent the week skiing at Snoqualmie. Since we were there during the week it wasn't really ski in ski out since East was closed. We did (even our school age boys) boot over to the cross over to ski Silver Fir or drove over to Alpental. The cabin was very well appointed for our week- including everything we would need for the kitchen, movies and games. The only thing I would advise is the 'jungle gym' was very fun for our slightly older kids (8 and 12). The jungle gym, circular stairs and (wonderful) wood stove would make this a tricky property for those with very littles. Thank you--- We had a wonderful time and your place was perfect for us.

It was adequate

There was a strong mildew/mold smell when we arrived that was present for the entire stay. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, as was the main floor living space. The spiral stairs are a bear if you have trouble with steps. The driveway and front walkway were not shoveled, but the road getting up to the place was very well groomed. It would be good to have a snow shovel in the cabin for clearing the deck and drive. Everything in the kitchen worked and we had what we needed to cook with. The cabin got warm quickly from the great fireplace, and the bedrooms stayed warm through the night even as the fire died out. The beds were comfortable.

Perfect location for touring at Hyak!

WOW wow, so much fun loved it soooo much. I want to book all the time. Nothing better than a warm shower, fire, watching DVDs and getting cozy at this perfect a-frame right next to the trails at hyak. Many beds but only one shower so something to think about with a big group in the winter after a cold day out. Internet was out on the street but we did have a couple cell phone bars to do a hot spot but didn't work all that well so we just watched their fun DVDs.

Perfect mountain getaway

We love this cabin, this was our second time staying here. It’s perfect for escaping and getting some mountain time. We stay here specifically to go sledding and it never disappoints. Wi-Fi was down due to a storm before we came. Which honestly isn’t a big deal if you’re truly trying to unplug. I’m positive we’ll be back.
