About this property

Whiskey Ridge Ranch - A Western Retreat in Central Oregon

Whiskey Ridge Ranch, a unique western sanctuary, is nestled on 2 1/2 Acres, a mere 10-minute Uber ride or drive from the vibrant Downtown Bend. Surrounded by parks and open spaces, this property offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, yet is just a 3-minute drive to the renowned 10 Barrel Brewery and other local east-side restaurants. With two newer kitchens and new mattresses, our property exudes the unique Central Oregon western flair. We welcome your furry friends (dogs only) with a pet fee.

Because our property is located in a quiet rural residential neighborhood, it's a great location for family reunions and laid-back friend gatherings, but NOT PARTIES. Suppose you have a larger group gathering over the total number of folks staying at Whiskey Ridge (hosting a family birthday dinner/gathering, baby/bridal showers). In that case, we require an additional cleaning fee.

The City of Bend is cracking down on people renting vacation homes for parties in residential areas—which is where our house is. If there are too many complaints, the City can revoke the owner's vacation rental permit.

The main house of Whiskey Ridge Ranch has been remodeled to offer three distinct suites within the home.

As you may imagine, the High West Suite is upstairs and offers two bedrooms with king-size beds, a bathroom, a full kitchen, an open living/dining space, and a large deck with amazing views of the Cascades.

The Pendleton Suite is located downstairs. It has a large in-suite Main bedroom and bathroom with a large jacuzzi bathtub. The suite also has a large wood-burning stove, a small kitchenette, and a back deck with a hot tub. There is an additional bedroom off this area that offers a queen-sized bed.

The Redemption Suite is located in the back section of the house, which was previously a chapel. We have preserved most of the unique structural features of this lovely little sanctuary. This cozy unit offers two bedrooms with king-size beds and a full bathroom. It also has a full kitchen, open dining/living room space with two futon chairs that turn into twin beds, and a private deck with a hot tub.

But our star of Whiskey Ridge is our vintage 30' 1973 Airstream, which we've affectionately named Miss Clementine. Miss Clementine sleeps two comfortably (the dining table can convert into a "not-so-comfy" queen-size bed) and has a full small RV kitchen, AC/Heat, and a private deck with a two-person hot tub.

Super fun property

Whiskey ridge was perfect for the 10 adults we brought to stay. The property was really fun. The house was in a convienany location but tucked back out ot the city enough to feel remote. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make dinner for everyone and the set up of the living room made it nice for everyone to hang out.

Excellent location-well appointed home

I took my management team of 7 people and we stayed in this home. We have stayed in multiple VRBO and other rental homes and this home for the price was a great price point and everyone's favorite. The home, redemption suite and airstream travel trailer are all as advertised (though we didn't use the airstream). Very clean, lots of bed/room options, great meeting space in kitchen/living room, and well appointed main kitchen with everything you need in main house and great basics in redemption suite. Multiple hot tubs, fire pit, and fantastic location 10 minutes from downtown Bend (12 min to Old Mill and 10 min to Eastside) in a quiet neighborhood were perfect for us. Excellent communication from owners. I would highly recommend this place for large or small groups as you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back and will also use this rental when I bring my family down in the future.

Extended Family GetAway

Very unique property with lots of room and 2 kitchens along with a 3rd refrigerator in the garage!. This worked well for our family of 8 adults and 7 grandkids (ages 4-12). Kids could hang out in one area and adults in another without cross-interruptions. 2 hot tubs was a treat for everyone and they were both well maintained. Very clean and well equipped property. Communication was very smooth. We didn't use Ms Clementine (Airstream trailer), but she was cute and ready for anyone (or 2) to sleep in with her own Hot Tub on attached deck outside. It's a throwback to the 60's, but in great shape. If you need a large house with lots of room and fun outdoor surprises for the kids, this is a great property.

LOt's of outdoor space and things to entertain the kids. Great for the pups. Property a bit dated with some maintenance problems, but perfectly serviceable and an enjoyable spot.

Perfect for a large family

The property was perfect for our family and some relatives that came for just a night. The communication was very clear and helpful. We enjoyed using the fire pit and enjoying time together away from daily life. The neighborhood was very nice and everything was around a 15 minute drive away.

Great weekend visit!

We enjoyed the location of the property and how close it was to downtown, the river and local golf courses. 10/10 recommend for those who have a larger group and want to be in a quiet and nice neighborhood.

Fantastic place for large groups!

We brought a large group of adults to attend a sporting event, and this place was absolutely perfect. Plenty of space to spread out, socialize, and the three hot tubs to recover from the days’ activities were sublime. Host was very helpful and responsive with all planning and changes.

Work trip

We had a work training trip in town. We had 8 adults and each had our work cars. This was a pet friendly location with plenty of parking. Communication was great. Home clean up instruction were easy to follow/complete. The grill and other amenities were in great condition. I would take my family here as well as a work retreat for team building. The property is very unique with the house having two separate rentals inside (upper floor/lower floor) which we used both and opened the common door on the stairs. There was also a trailer as a third rental on the opposite side of the property we were not aware of. It was rented by someone else for part of our stay and it was absolutely no issue due to the distance and privacy the property layout provides. We will return and will rent the trailer next time to bring more team members. Thank you for being such great hosts!

Fantastic wedding weekend

Our extended family stayed at Lori’s place for my son’s wedding in Bend. Everything was perfect for our large crowd. Everyone had privacy when they needed it and enjoyed the living areas when we wanted to congregate. The entire experience was a joy!

Perfect for our little family reunion!

This house and property was amazing and perfect for the small family reunion we had planned. The hosts were responsive when we had issues with the barbeque and were warm and friendly with every contact we had through the entire process. We would recommend this place to anyone needing a large property to sleep and house a large family comfortably.

Very cool property!

We were looking for a place in Bend that was both easily accessible to the city while also providing some privacy and Whiskey Ridge Ranch delivered. We rented the entire property for a group of 6 so we could have it all to ourselves - it's a big house and could have easily accommodated twice our group size. Though our stay was short amenities wise it had everything we needed and then some. Great overall!

Amazing property!

I highly recommend this property! We could not stop talking about how beautiful this home was. It was the perfect amount of space and had all the furnishings to make us feel right at home. Perfect for our party of 14!!!

We were visiting for the OAB State Tournament and wanted to rent a house with three other families. This house was perfect for just that! Each of the couples had their own room and the fifth bedroom (bunk bed room) slept all our boys no problem. The boys enjoyed having their own space downstairs, and us parents enjoyed not having the boys always "under foot" :) The home is in a great location and was very clean! Though this is our last year eligible for the OAB State Tournament, the group has already talked about making this house a yearly get away! Thanks again Rhett for this great rental!

We love living here in Bend. We hope you enjoy your stay in Bend as well. There is lots to do, both indoors and out! We enjoy everything outdoors and can give you great tips for local adventures.

Why they chose this property

This home became available right in our very unique Bend neighborhood - Old Deschutes East. Each property is at least 2.5 acres giving you plenty of space in a beautiful rural setting but only 10 minutes from Bend's downtown. We live about 1/2 mile away and are available if you have any issues. However, you'll have plenty of privacy!
