Great Location and okenty of space to relax.

Perfect location, just a couple blocks from King street and 10 min drive to the French Quarter. Nice to have space to share with family to unwind after full day in the city. I would say if you are a light sleeper you may need to take sleep aid, there is a busy road by the house. Amenities are good for a short or long stay.

Perfect little hideaway

Super cute old Charleston house. By old, I mean historic. This house is updated and modern, but still has the historic Charleston quirky charm of an old house, which I love. My son is a Knob at the Citadel and we used this house as a little get away for him and some of his classmates to get off campus and out of uniform. It sits onto of a hair salon, and the next building is a venue for wedding receptions. This was perfect due we may have been a little loud in the evenings but did not disturb anyone. I will try and rent this house again in the future.

Would Book Again

We just finished a fantastic three nights stay at this property. We had three adults and two teenagers with us and had plenty of room. The decor and detail to the home is chic, tasteful, and classy. We were provided an abundance of towels and the starter toiletries for the bathrooms were plenty for the weekend. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more. We picked things up from the local Publix and had all the dishware, and appliances that we needed. Parking was easy, there are two spaces for this rental in the back of the house. Check in and out was easy. Property management got back to me timely with any questions before and during my stay. Great to have a washer and dryer and small things like umbrellas. Close to downtown and even closer to some small restaurants in the area. I have seen people comment on the street noise in this area, and although we heard noise, it overall was not a bother to us. We wanted to be close to downtown rather than a more remote area, so we expected the noise that we heard, and it did not interrupt our sleep. Showers had plenty of hot water and great water pressure and both bedrooms upstairs had ensuite bathrooms. The place was a hit with our group, would book it again!

Girl’s Weekend Getaway

Six of us ladies celebrated Mother’s Day in Charleston. We had so much fun! This lovely home was perfect! It’s beautifully decorated, clean and a great location. We walked to great restaurants and fun stylish boutiques. The property manager was super helpful and quick to answer our questions. I would give this place my highest recommendation

COVID Escape

My wife and two college aged children spent five nights at the Charleston. The positives include that the apartment was spacious, clean and the location convenient to many restaurants/bars. The downside was the street noise was frequent and at times made it difficult to sleep. Every morning (~5AM) there was something, including but not limited to trash pick-up, street cleaning and truck noises. This was most prevalent in the two bedrooms that faced the front of the house, as Spring Street is a fairly busy street. Only other knock is if you are tall (>6') be prepared to knock your head on low ceilings and shower stalls. Overall a good stay and a nice place, but worth noting the full picture.

Great house, terrible master bath

The bathroom on the first floor is what brought this rating down from 5 to 4 stars. This was for my sister's bach, so I gave her the master bedroom on the first floor. There is one bathroom on the first floor shared by both bedrooms. Anyone over 5'11" could not use this shower. The shower head hit me at my chest, so you have to squat down under it, or use it hand held - making it a struggling to wash your hair. You have to dip UNDER the shower curtain bar to get into the stall. The bathroom is super dark and essentially a "harry potter closet" bathroom. You'll notice in their photos this bathroom is completely photoshopped, and avoids photographing the shower itself. It was just a bummer to give my sister a nice bedroom, ultimately she couldn't even use the shower because it was such a poor experience. Everything else is good about the house, the location is close to king street. However, I didn't appreciate the misrepresentation in the photos of this bathroom.

Bed bugs ruin a trip

I'll start with the actual property. Size was good for our 6. There is no master bath. Upstairs uses window AC units, so hot months will stay hot. Cabinet was broken in the kitchen (hanging on one hinge). It was cute, but didn't feel clean. The big issue was 3 of the 4 bedrooms had bed bugs. My son and girlfriend got eaten up pretty bad. I reached out to the manager (I gave 2 stars above because they responded fairly quickly) to ask about it and they deflected my concerns and later told me they found no evidence. They just didn't look hard enough. I sent them images and a video, but they claimed we might've gotten bitten outside of the residence. I know this isn't true because we felt itchy and uncomfortable from night 1. We'll continue our complaint through legal channels.

Great family home.

We had 7 adults 5-17 to 24 and 42 & 44 and two babies. 3 months and 18 months. Started a little bumpy because I did not get my code to get in the home but after a few calls finally found the right number to the local host and got it. I suggest you confirm you have it prior to arrival. I waited 😑. House had Plenty of room, really enjoyed the open concept when we gathered to eat meals and hang out in the evenings. I did bring a few kitchen items from home as we are a large group (large cheese grader, my own spices, large pot and pan) Great location near shopping and dinning. Bottom level was nice with large master which stayed nice and cold, upper level would get a bit warmer if ACs was off but cooled quickly once on. Very nice decor and comfortable beds. House is old with lots history but has modern updates which was nice. House has old floors that make little noise but I think it’s part of the charm or the original things of the home. My kids would stay up late and said they heard things and a wine glass fell off the kitchen rack at 2am. Honestly don’t know if it was on wrong or something moved it but the kids enjoyed the mystery. I did not see or hear anything myself. It was our first time to not stay at a hotel and I have to say, we really enjoyed it! No one is make your bed daily but it was great to have everyone together. This was our first trip with the grandbabies and it really was a perfect home for this. Parking was nice and private. Master room is near road so we did hear road noise but not a big deal for us. After all we are in the heart of down town. We really enjoyed the porch and took family pictures on it. Weather was so nice for July and being in the second floor gave a really nice breeze. Really no complaints, overall all great vacation home. Many locals said the area is expensive to live so I guess price was fair. Son just got stationed locally so we will be back for many more trips.
