Our home is comfortable and welcoming and we will try our very best to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Perfect for monthly getaways or winter retreat. The location is most convenient: Literally a one minute drive or a quick walk to the River Mall where you can enjoy fine dining, shopping, and movies.
Or drive 5 minutes to nearby luxurious El Paseo with a Mac store, Gucci, Whole Foods, and many more--the desert's Rodeo Drive.
We are close to all desert attractions: 9 miles to Palm Springs’ art galleries and festivals, casino, Ariel tramway, shopping, bike and hiking trails, restaurants, and movies.

Our home is not a newly remodeled, high-end experience—if you are looking for sleek stainless steel and glass furnishing, this might not be the place for you. It’s not a 7-star Westin resort experience either, but, modest as it is, it's comfortable, it’s all fun and relaxation, the views can’t be beat, the community is very friendly, and we feel you can make yourself a home in the desert there.

Of course the home will be professionally cleaned before you arrive.

Our pricing reflects the older but clean and fully functioning facilities. We offer a simple Nespresso espresso maker along with a traditional coffee maker.

We have new area rugs (July 2019) in the living room and entry along with a Broyhill comfy sofa.

In the primary bedroom, we have elected to keep the carpeting. It is older, but a pretty cocoa color and is shampooed between guests.

In the front is a courtyard with a barbecue, tables, and chairs. You will find comfort and relaxation and everything you need to feel right at home. This is a one-story ground floor unit with no stairs. Two queen beds, with TVs in each room.

Inside you’ll have views of the 15th hole with the deck bordering the fairway itself

The kitchen is mostly original with a new refrigerator (as of end of June 2019).

Please be aware that this is the desert and you may see a bug or two especially during hot spells. Ants can be a problem in any home and we will do our best to fight them off with a monthly service.

In the garage there is parking for one car, with driveway for additional spaces. You will have use of two bicycles, washer/dryer and Wifi with basic cable. The washer is new as of end of Feb 2019.

For a fee, you can play on the 18 hole executive course, use the on-site driving range, 11 tennis courts, and 8 pickle ball courts. Lessons available.

You can swim in any of the 21 heated swimming pools or relax in the 19 spas, which you will usually have to yourself.

The clubhouse features a full-service restaurant as well as a coffee shop grill along with an Olympic-sized pool.

No smoking, parties or drugs please. We live a few hours away but we are available by cell phone or email and will handle any issues or questions promptly. Minimum stay is 28 days.

Please note: We prefer our guests to check in and out on the first day of the calendar months. We usually don't allow a reservation to start in the middle of a month. However, if your schedule is not flexible, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you. We know this may present an inconvenience, and apologize for that.

Winter's End Getaway

Our 2nd time in this unit for a 2 month stay. Great location re shopping, restaurants, etc. Lovely complex with nice neighbours, close to pool, 2 outdoor patios with both sun & shade available. Responsive owners. Felt very safe here.

Happy to get to know Sunrise Country Club

We were very pleased with the cleanliness, spaciousness & overall lay-out of Lyn & Al's property. They provided us with many day to day items (dish detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap) which was appreciated. The kitchen is very well stocked. There are 20+ pools, most with spas, in Sunrise Country club. One is right across the street from their home & we used it a lot as the weather was beautiful. We didnt play golf, tennis or pickleball, but these are all available for a monthly fee. The restaurant had great food & staff. You can hear the traffic from Bob Hope Drive, but it does quiet down during the night. It would be very nice for the main office in Sunrise to let you put a deposit on a gate opener for the Bob Hope entrance as would make access to this home much shorter, but they dont allow it. The only entrance is off Country club, but you can exit to Bob Hope.

Unit was very comfortable overall. Very approachable and accommodating host, close to pool (although it was down for unforseen repairs for most of our stay). Some items could use a slight refresh. Have already booked again for spring.

Lovely spot!

This is the second year we have stayed at Sunrise country club, and have loved every minute of it! Beautiful pool and hot tub across the street, gorgeous views, and central location in the valley make it the perfect spot! The hosts, Lyn, and Al take very good care of you!

Great location

This condo is in a great location. The community has wonderful amenities and people there are very friendly. The owners were easy to work with. The kitchen was well-equipped. The patio got good morning and mid-day sun. The condo description provided by the owners was accurate in that this is an older property that has not been updated or remodeled.

A place to relax

This was the second time we stayed for a month at this property, and we liked it just as much as last November. The vies at Sunrise Country Club are wonderful, no matter the direction you look. The golfing is a dream with perfect fairways and greens. People are super friendly and with shopping or dining only minutes away, how could you not like it. We hope to do it a 3rd time next year. Sunrise Condo

Excellant rental property. Al and Lyn's hospitality and quick responsive to any issues that arise are A+. Checkin was easy and good communication throughout the stay. They resolved any issues and were very open to suggestions to augment the stay going forward . Condo is well supplied with dishes, bakeware, and appliances. Close to heated pool . Sunrise golf course is green and beautiful location . Golfers need to buy membership to golf or to take part in other activities or restaurants. if you golf a lot it is worth the cost. Many thanks to our great hosts and would highly recommend this condo in the future .

Charming condo in the perfect location

The hosts have been gracious from the moment we rented! The location on the relaxing 15th fairway of a beautifully landscaped country club was perfect with the sun soaked patio a wonderful place to sit and relax! The furnishings leant a feeling of desert comfort. The location was perfect to get to either end of the valley. Many restaurants and great shopping are nearby. We enjoyed our stay very much!

4 weeks of lovely

For a retired couple like us the place was wonderful. A little bit dated but perfect for us. Within 5 to 10 minutes by car you can get to all the stores and restaurants you need. The people in the club were very friendly and we hope to return next year, I should add that the host was very helpful in any way. Thank you Lin and Al for letting us use your nice place.

Delightful time

This was our first time spending a month away from home. I doubt if it could have been any better!. The home is roomy and welcoming. We sat on the patio every day. The neighbors are very friendly, making us feel at home. We look forward to staying again next year!

A Wonderful Month

This is a terrific place and would highly recommend it for anyone considering a stay in Rancho Mirage. The owners were super responsive and accommodated a few special requests we had. We like to cook and the kitchen had all the kitchen utensils that anyone would want. If we come back to the area, we would love to stay here again.

Felt like home!!

Our stay here was wonderful!! The condo is decorated beautifully and very well stocked for your every day needs. The hosts were great to work with, we never had to wait long for a reply from them. We needed to extend our stay and they were immediate to accommodate. It’s location is perfect, pretty much central to everything. Would definitely stay again!!

Our Best Vacation

I can’t say enough about our visit. The back of our roomy two-bedroom town-home faced on a golf course: like living in a park surrounded by grass, palms and fruit trees. We breakfasted every sunny morning on the links in the shaded patio. Everything you need here: dishes, pots and pans, spices, barbecue, linens and an ice-making fridge full of complimentary drinks. Then there’s the Sunrise Club: members are open, friendly and welcoming even though we were only visitors, not owners. We are not golfers, but my girlfriend took aqua-size in the big pool with the ladies while I worked out in the gym or rode one of the owners’ bicycles around the complex, and what a beautifully maintained complex it is! Maintenance crews are out every day mowing fairways, trimming trees and raking flower beds. Best of all is the location, just minutes away from shopping at Whole Foods, Macy’s, Albertsons or Costco. A few turns and you’re on Highway 111 to either Palm Springs or La Quinta. A few miles more and you’re on highway 10 to L.A. or to whatever sightseeing destination. I’d recommend the Palms to Pines Highway as well as Joshua Tree Monument Park. A fabulous visit and best vacation ever.

We had a blast!

My husband and I love going to the desert and we are both so happy that we’ve found Lyn and Al’s place! The condo is very comfortable, very nicely decorated, and clean. All the comforts of home were there for us. We slept well in the bed, enjoyed the patios and the local entertainment just a short drive away. The kitchen was adequately stocked for us to enjoy our meals there, too. We didn’t partake of the golf, tennis, or pickleball because we were too busy swimming, enjoying the restaurants, outlet malls, and casinos too. We look forward to returning to this property soon! Great family weekend!

My boyfriend and I took our four year old son to stay here last weekend. The property is gorgeous and and beautifully maintained. It is in a great location, close to shops and restaurants. We visited the Children's Discovery Museum and our son had a blast. When we arrived we felt comfortable and enjoyed sitting in the patio area in the evening listening to the cicadas, playing cards or reading. The property itself is immaculate, and has everything you need to feel at home. We easily cooked dinner one evening, and then made our way to the pool and hot tub that is conveniently right across the street. The hosts were accommodating and followed up after our stay to thank us and hoped it was what we expected. It was all that and more! We will definitely make this our desert retreat from now on.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at Al and Lyn’s condo in Rancho Mirage. Their home was very comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the shopping and the nearby casinos. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was very adequate for our needs. Al and Lyn were great hosts. We didn’t need any help for our stay, but we knew they were available if we did. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a bit of sunshine and swimming!

Heavenly!

I came to Palm Desert to attend the Queen Palm Film Festival and was dreading the heat. But Lyn and Al's place was so cool and comfortable I didn't even feel it. I was actually cooler in their central air conditioned condo (with pool steps from the front door) than I am in my home in L.A. The whole experience was relaxing and rejuvenating. The location is great - with Whole Foods, mall, and (lounging) cinema just up the road, and the condo itself was adorable. Very clean and beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. My favorite was the rocking lounge chair on the deck off the master bedroom. My routine was a morning swim followed by reading on the deck. And when I finished the books I had brought, there was a selection of books provided - even coincidentally one by Tom Hanks that I had been meaning to read. I had everything I needed for a relaxing and comfortable retreat: spotless kitchen fully equipped with everything I needed to prepare a meal - including coffee maker and coffee - and little details like olive oil and herbs. I was also able to access my Netflix and Amazon Video accounts on both the TV in the living room and in my bedroom, so was able to binge watch from bed. (I miss that mattress; it was like a cloud.) Thanks Lyn and Al for the wonderful accommodations. I hope to be back soon!

We had an amazing time at this desert getaway!

My girlfriend and I just stayed here for the week and it was amazing. We saw the last review that someone left on here, it we're a bit baffled, because for us, the property was nothing but excellent. Things were very clean - I didn't see a spot on anything. Sure dirt could be tracked in from outside (the floors are white tile), so I'm thinking that the last guest probably got it dirty themselves, then complained about it. I walked around barefoot a lot and never were my feet black on the bottom. The patio is beautiful both in the front and back. The place is decorated very nicely - I'm not sure how anyone couldn't like it. In fact,I've stayed at another condo with this exact layout in Rancho Mirage, and that condo was barren - no good decoration at all. This place has true style, and it shows that the owners put a lot of time and thought into the decoration. Everything that you might need is provided here - tons of silverware, pots, pans, etc. The carpets are perfectly clean - and they have really nice rugs that are in perfect condition. The couch is brand new. The TVs are very high quality, better than what I have at my home - not to mention there is a brand new TV in each bedroom. The bed was sooo comfortable that it was hard to get out of it sometimes :). There are way more linens than anyone would ever need, and they are all high quality. I didn't see one bug the entire time inside the place. The master bathroom is spacious and nice. The Nespresso is awesome - I made tons of coffee with it. I'm so happy with that I ended up ordering one for myself at home. Sure, this isn't the Ritz Carlton - but can you really stay at the Ritz for the price of this VRBO? I'm not sure I understand the rationale of the last review. I spoke to the owners multiple times. They didn't bother me - which is what I want. I really don't want to be "checked in with" at all - I prefer privacy - and if I have a problem - I'll call them. I called them once to ask a question about how some key, garage door opener things - but that was it. The other call I made was to tell them how great it was, and thanked them for putting so much thought into providing a good experience for us. All the lights worked, in fact everything works. There is no broken or appliance that is less than stellar. There are lots of cleaning supplies and the only thing I needed to get from the store was food. Thank you to these great hosts! I will gladly book again soon.

Rundown, Poor Condition

Stayed Apr. 1 - May 31, 2019. - During the 2 months, we non-existent....totally disregarded us. - The floors were never cleaned - on our first night our feet were black. Wore shoes thereafter. - Patio was NEVER cleaned; we did it on the 2nd day. - Neighbors told us they NEVER saw cleaning crew show up prior to our stay. We paid for cleaning for our stay - so why wasn't it cleaned for our stay? - Golfing is NOT AVAILABLE. Condo Owners DO NOT have Club Membership, therefore, Visitors must pay between $700 to $800 per month to Golf; NO EXCEPTIONS - for a Par 3 course. Ad should read FOR MEMBERS ONLY. - Washer & dryer are located in the detached GARAGE. Garage and washer/dryer are filthy and old - cockroaches everywhere. - Sectional sofa is supposed to be white but it's filthy so we covered it with sheets to sit on. ALL the throw pillows have a stinky smell and dirty. We put them on the floor. - Original carpet from the 70's in both bedrooms. Disgusting. Do not walk with bare feet. - Mattresses are poor, TV trays are used as night stands, lamps have bulb bases hanging by electrical cord, TV's are NOT fully operational, there are NO dresser drawers in any bedroom, aluminum headboard from the 70's. - Cond decor was slapped together with old furniture. - Linen, towels, bedding, pillows are so old, ratty and stinky that we went to Target and bought our own. - We sprayed the mattress with Vodka to disinfect it. - Dishwasher did not always work. - Air Con unit is central and EXTREMELY loud. Annoying while watching TV or sleeping. - ALL Cabinetry is original from the 70's; the interior is gross and has a rancid smell. - Cockroaches would frequent the kitchen floor out of the cupboards. - Bought spray to kill ants coming through the kitchen window; sprayed exterior frame. - ALL kitchen utensils are extremely old, rancid, tarnished and unsanitary. - Cutting board pulls out from the counter top; unsanitary. - Can opener did not work. - Pots, pans, bake ware, are of disgusting poor quality and need to be thrown out. - We bought our own can opener, frying pan, and cheap cookware to use. - Bathroom showers are gross and old. - Owners want their Visitors to water their plants during their stay. The condition of this condo is totally unacceptable. We are both in our late 50's and have now experienced the worst stay EVER! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. For the Owners to take people's hard earned money and totally ignore us is deplorable.
