We loved staying at this gorgeous property. It is full of history but comfortable for the whole family. The walking trails were wonderful. It was a great place to relax and reconnect with family!
The whole property is amazing, including the hosts. They are there to greet you and give you a brief tour. We enjoyed every bit of the property and every moment we were there. We will definitely be back, as soon as we can.
The Farmhouse was a perfect spot for us to stay: close enough to UGA to participate in graduation activities, but removed enough to feel like a special getaway. We enjoyed hosting the graduates!
We arrived on Tuesday and were greeting by Lee. Lee and Amy were great at communicating. Our kids came Saturday afternoon to celebrate family Christmas.
They loved the house and exploring the property.
It's an amazing place to stay.
Thanks Lee and Amy for your hospitality.
Enjoyed this historic, quaint farmhouse about 20 minutes outside of Athens. Whee wen we arrived on Thursday, met with Lee, the co-owner, when we arrived and he graciously walked us through the house snd even recommended places for dinner close by that night. Caught the UGA game on Saturday and easy checkout on Sunday.
Thank you,
Amy and Lee

The house was lovely, the setting was lovely, the piano was a treat, and the hosts were great. The kitchen is nicely stocked and there are toys for kids. There was a bit of mustiness that caused some allergies for one of us, but otherwise everything was excellent.
Just looking for a place to put our head down for UGA graduation weekend and found a place that I would love to spend more time exploring. The house and property are amazing and the hosts are extremely friendly and accomodating. The history that has been restored and maintained throughout the property is remarkable. The property itself offers something for everyone that enjoys nature and water activities. I hope we can return and spend more time truly exploring all that the property has to offer.
Our family had the pleasure of staying at this restored 1870 farmhouse over the weekend, and it was an unforgettable experience. It's a perfect blend of history, nature, and fun for the family. The charm of the farmhouse is just the start of the property.
We were aware of the fishing pond and cool walking trails that wind through the woods but not to the extent we discovered. Kids loved swimming in the pond with a floating dock, discovering things in the rustic tool shed, and kayaking down on the river all added an extra layer of adventure for our family. We came for a Dawgs game and left with "farm" memories that will last a lifetime thanks to the incredible owners!
The farmhouse is more than just a place to stay; it’s a living history lesson as well (and was even the backdrop for an upcoming video for a massive country star!). Our kids enjoyed reading, playing games, and playing the piano in the library.
Meeting the owners was a highlight—they made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay even more special.
The location is perfect for those wanting to explore or go to a game in Athens....but we found it hard to leave the property! It’s the kind of place where you can truly unplug and reconnect with nature and each other.
As much as we wanted to keep word of this place all to ourselves, its a gem and so are the owners! Thank y'all so much!!
Go Dawgs!
This is the quincessential old farmhouse. Lee and Amy made us feel right at home. Fresh eggs and pumpkin bread on arrival was completely unexpected but the perfect touch to a lovely getaway!
The farmhouse had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend away. My favorite part was enjoying coffee on the front porch in the rocking chairs every morning. Saw many birds and deer. I just can't wait to get back. Lee and Amy are wonderful host!
Five of us enjoyed a wonderful time in this beautiful historic home and all that was on the property! What a treat! Amy and Lee are great hosts and such talented and gifted people! The fresh flowers were such treat as was seeing the garden and great potting shed, the cabin, pond, old cemetery, etc! We will definitely be back! Being close to Madison and Monroe, two wonderful towns to explore, was icing on the cake!
The stay was very relaxing and home was so clean and well maintained. The house was 150 years old with alot of character and charm. Highly recommend this place to everyone. Owners were there on property. The respected our privacy and were also very friendly. I couldn't be any happier. We had 4 generations and everyone loved it.
What a wonderful find. Such a peaceful and comfortable place. We so enjoyed spending time here, walking the open trails, the activities and hearing the history from owners. We 4 sisters plan to return to enjoy each other and what you and God have created.
What an incredible property! We initially booked this house due to its location. However, after we arrived we were blown away with this property. We could have skipped our original itinerary and just stayed at the house. There is so much to explore, the church, library, trails, pond, old cemetery and river. The owners are AMAZING hosts and the house has so much charm. We have young children and they were in heaven exploring the property. This property exceeded our expectations and we are already planning our next trip back.
