Our homestay is located in chhote kawali village , some 20kms from Jadgalpur city, Chhattisgarh, Bastar, India. We are located in border of Kanger valley national park in middle of lush paddy fields and forests.
We are accessible by private transport, private auto/taxi can be booked from jagdalpur from as low as 400rs trip.
My cottage has 2 large bed rooms with separate washrooms suitable for a group of people as well as couples, backpackers and solo travelers.
We provide organic food fresh form nearby farms as our whole economy is dependent on forest ecosystem. You can try bastar beer salfi as well as local drinks like mauha , lata while you stays with us.
we are located near a cluster of 10 villages, nagnur famous for organic vegetable market, various tribal villages comprising of gonds, mudias, dhokras and other indigenous of chhattisgarh.
Dhokras are famous for bell metal art works, this is an ancient metal casting method which employs bee wax as a base and metal castings in moulds. Bell metal works are in from of small artefacts, statues, animal shapes, wall mounted frames etc.
Similarly there are wrought iron frames made by similar indigenous tribes.
Muria dance of muria tribes of bastar have uniques dance form with own set of music , makeup and decorations.
