Charming Cottage near Roche Harbor! (BSB)

Blue Sea Bungalow (near Roche Harbor) is a great place to make some San Juan memories! This cozy home was built in 2015 and is comfortably furnished with a nautical/beach motif throughout.

The kitchen and dining room provide enough space for everyone to gather comfortably around the table or prepare meals together. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and plenty of dishes, cookware, and spices.

The downstairs Primary Suite has a Queen-sized bed and is connected to a continental bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is upstairs with a view of Westcott Bay and a full-sized bed with a Memory Foam mattress. The 3/4 bathroom is upstairs as well.

The living room's comfortable futon couch converts into a bed. Enjoy an evening movie on the new 40" TV in the living room with access to Netflix and other streaming services.

Blue Sea Bungalow offers a large yard full of fun as well! Fire up the BBQ, pull up a chair and relax around the firepit (seasonally permitted and firewood is not provided). Enjoy a game of horseshoes, “corn hole”, or croquet in the back yard. This open space and rural setting are perfect for star gazing while sitting with friends around the campfire.

The Westcott Bay Oyster Farm is just at the end of the neighborhood. A connector trail to English Camp and Mount Young is also at the end of the street near the farm and lagoon. There is a nice trail on Bell Point (in the National Park) that can lead you to public water access.

It's a short 1.5 miles to Roche Harbor, where you can rent kayaks, SUP's, etc. and check out the beautiful garden and historical sights.

This home is not suitable for parties or excessively loud groups. Due to the large lawn and proximity to the water, sound carries easily through this neighborhood.

This property does not have Air Conditioning. Fans are provided.

A natural beauty

Such a cute place nestled in a little neighborhood on the north side of the island. We picked up oysters, clams, & mussels from the Westcott bay shellfish co. at the end of the street, amazing!! The island is not huge so we were able to see a lot in just a few days. Amazing views of the ocean, beautiful hiking trails, and on our last morning we saw a rare black fox, 2 bald eagles, & topped it off with the most vibrant rainbow over the water while waiting for the ferry!! 100% recommend!!

Trip to San Juan Islands

This cute home was an amazing get away for our family. It is cozy and well stocked. We loved sitting outside and were visited by deer and foxes each day. The neighborhood is quiet and we were able to walk to local trails that went all the way to the ocean. The bed were very comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen. We would love to come back!

Great Location but Average Amenities

The house was clean and cutely decorated, but not quite as advertised. Thankfully they have updated the listing since we complained because it previously boasted water views and beach access. You can see a sliver of the water from the upstairs bedroom. The beach “access” was overgrown so we called the property manager. To their credit, they had someone come out and cut back the waist-high growth and blackberry stickers. However, the embankment with its ancient frayed rope was not safe so we couldn’t enjoy the beach. The house itself is nicely built on a large yard, but there isn’t a single comfortable place to sit. The lovely green lawn shown in pictures was dead, with landscaping nonexistent and chairs not made to sit more than a few minutes. The beds were uncomfortable and old, and there’s no couch. The futon is not suitable for more than one adult and even then it’s not comfortable. We still had a great vacation because San Juan Island is the best, but we wouldn’t stay here again. The owners are enjoying a good price point because of the location but they need to upgrade the furniture and do a bit of yard work to make it nicer.

Relaxing family vacation

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was great with a beautiful yard and neighborhood. We walked local trails and down to the oyster restaurant, enjoyed the yard games and fire pit, and had everything we needed to cook meals at the house. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful bungalow

We have been coming to San Juan Islands since 2015. We love it here and we loved this house. It was very clean and has everything needed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Charming cottage in a great location near Roche Harbor

This was our first time to the San Juan Island. The location of this cottage was perfect for our family of 4. You are close enough to Roche Harbor resort to pop over for a meal, we had a dinner and breakfast which was great. You're also down the street in walking distance to the Wescott Oyster farm and restaurant where we had another great meal in beautiful scenery on the bay. You are not far from Friday Harbor as well. Everything in the cottage was as expected and worked well for my 2 kids, husband and I. My only complaint would be about the bed size in the upstairs bedroom, believe it was a full, would've been better to have a queen. Overall fantastic stay, great memories and would highly recommend this property.

Great Bungalow

One of the best vacation rentals I’ve stayed at. Deer and foxes in the yard every night. Best stocked rental I’ve ever been in. Great location,5 min drive to Roche. Could walk down to Wescott Bay. Quiet neighborhood. Had three young kids, we all loved it. Only thing is that the futon doesn’t lay flat, it’s like a recliner type futon, which wasn’t ideal. Wish they’d switch that out.

The perfect quaint getaway

Our group of four was joining another couple on a boat in Roche Harbor, this was an easy commute to Roche and was a perfect place to stay. Loved seeing all the wildlife! So many birds, deer, and even a fox!

Cannot be outside of the home, or in the yard.

We had the local police show up at 8:15 pm, saying they had received a noise complaint, the officer said he could not hear us from the driveway! he was very sorry, but just be warned you cannot go outside of the house.

Cute house. Lawn hadn’t been mowed in some time. Had to work for the water view. You take your life in your hands for the “beach” access. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone with ANY limited mobility or risk of injury. Only had K-cup machine for coffee. Cups were provided but if you like a strong cup of Java, bring you own. Would have sworn listing said 2 queens. Only 1 and a full. Location was close to Roche Harbor and the Oyster Company. Lots of wildlife roaming through the yard. Beautiful. Enjoyed the stay but wouldn’t rent again.

Pleasant cabin in a natural setting
