This was such a great find. It’s close to Mora where we have family and was comfortable and roomy. We are definitely planning to stay here again in the future.
When we first pulled it, I was surprised. The listing called it a retreat center, but it was really a backyard in a rural area. However, when we got into the cabin, the view was peaceful and it was very quiet. The windows look out into an open field, and it did not feel like we were in a backyard. The cabin was very clean and well furnished with kitchen utensils. There was even a supply of ketchup packets, which we forgot. The cabin was bigger than I thought and very comfortable. The only thing missing was any sort of instructions. We struggled to figure out how to adjust the temperature, as the thermostat was locked. There is a baseboard heater upstairs, and when we adjusted that, it was comfortable. There was a wall unit downstairs, but it did not seem to have power. The doors were unlocked, and we were not provided a key or code to get in--It was in a rural area so we did not lock the doors when we left, although I would have preferred to do this as my laptop and other valuables were left behind. Overall, we would definitely come back. It is about 1 hour from Duluth, where we spent most of the day on Saturday.
This was a nice small cabin to stay in. It was very clean and uncluttered. The prairie was beautiful to walk through and the nearby town has cafe, restaurant, and store options.
4th time staying at this beautiful cabin.
We always have a great time here.
Mike is a great host and we love every visit we take to this special place.
looks just like the picture. clean and cozy. nice bathroom. wi-fi was spotty. were there for a wedding so an iron would've been nice. no iron. owner said that even he didnt own one. rained most the time we were there so no opportunity to explore the surroundings. I do wish owner would've communicated with me ahead of time that doors were unlocked and we could go right in.

Beautiful cabin
Inside very inviting and warm feeling. Make sure you find a local place for wood if you want a campfire. Keurrig coffee maker, bring some if you want more than one cup a day. Cool in the morning (64] inside. Drank more than the one cup so we were out of coffee one day. Found coffee rings in the coffee cups prior so we had to wash the cups out first. Therwuse a nice get away place.
Great cabin. Clean, organized and cute. My BF and I got unlucky with the weather and network connection, but made the most of it by driving into downtown Mora which was around 20mins away and hung out there. The network connection was down the whole time so we couldn't watch anything during down time, but we managed to connect our phones to the tv. I recommend this place, and would consider camping here again for the same price. You get what you pay for.
The location of this property is very convenient to where my brother and I deer hunt. And do to a portion of the land we hunt being sold recently, we had to find another place to stay. We will be back next year!
We stayed at Lindisfarne for a few days while we were in Minnesota to see family, and were able to enjoy the deer in the morning and Turkey all day long. Very nice accommodations. We'll definitely consider staying there again on our next trip.
Mike did a great job and is always working to maintain and improve the property. Recommend this place highly. The loft space is great and the bathroom, kitchen and other features are modern and clean.
Weekend was perfect! The cabin was nice and clean and had everything a person could need. It was very nice to sit outside and have a fire while looking up at the stars. You are kinda out in the middle of nowhere so no lights up in the sky which was amazing.
A charming cabin. Very peaceful place to relax, enjoy nature and destress. Beautiful view of an open field with plenty of turkey and deer. Great place to visit and stay while in the area.
