Moose Cabin

Customer service was amazing! However, the grill did not work and the hot tub had more than half the jets not working. Only 1 seat in the hot tub had all the jets working and 1 more seat had only 1 jet working. Otherwise, everything was great! Amazing location and beautiful property!

Gorgeous and Quiet

Absolutely loved this property. Stunning nature views, the hot tub was wonderful, the cabin was beautiful and clean, this was a 10 out of 10 experience. less than 10 mins to the local town for food, gas, booze, any basic needs. Fishing right on site. hiking right there. The fire place was also fantastic, and access to chopped wood on the property AT NO EXTRA COST!!! Just perfect!

Quiet cabin in the pines by lively creek

We loved having coffee by the bubbling, roaring creek! We enjoyed the stream several times each day, using the camp chairs we had brought, placed under the pines. We loved sleeping and waking to the sound of the water with the windows open in early June. The sound of the creek drowned out most other road noise and neighbors, providing more sense of privacy from the constant natural background sound. The private hot tub soothed the tiredness and aches of the day’s activity. What a perfect location!

Great location right along the creek. Peaceful and quiet while close to the highway

Everything was great. Only issue was the blinds, dryer taking quite some time to dry and WiFi connection, but we definitely survived and enjoyed the trip and the cabin.

Overall good

We loved the location. It is quiet and secluded with refreshing mountain air and mountain creek. We could have used better and brighter lighting. The stovetop and bathroom heater needed cleaning. Otherwise it was clean and very welcoming. Thank you!!

Honeymoon

We came out for our honeymoon with just the idea to enjoy the property and hike on a nearby trail. Then we learned there was a pond that you can go paddle boating on and fishing in! And there were sooo many more trails than we thought! Also the Rio Grande was like 20ft from the bedroom window! We plan on making this a yearly trip!

Horrible experience

The management was horrible, as well as several issues in the home. Outlets didn't work, hot tub was cold and dirty, no firewood (took 2 days for the manager to bring our complimentary wood), wifi didn't work, no hose to put out the fire. Vacasa refused to make these issues right.

Bring your own wood

This is our second time to stay at this cabin and overall, it was good. However, when I attempted to contact the property manager with a question prior to our check-in, all I received was a canned reply from Vacasa inviting me to rent the cabin. Upon our arrival, we noticed there was no chopped wood for the fireplace and the only pieces anywhere around were small section of logs that had not been split, rendering them far too large to get inside the fireplace. The sheets and comforter set needs to be changed out. They both appeared old (it was the exact same set over two years ago during our first stay). The sheets were rough and there were no extra blankets. If you are considering staying here, especially when it’s 20 degrees, my suggestion is bring your own firewood and fire starter logs. We purchased plenty at the store and left what we didn’t use for the next tenant. Also, the microwave really needs to be replaced. There are large pieces of black duct tape all along the bottom, holding something in place. This tape was there over two years ago as well. It’s sad to see that the owner(s) still have yet to replace the VERY worn out furniture throughout.

Not accessible unless via a passenger car

Could not access with our truck and ohv trailer. We walked across the bridge to inspect home and found hot tub was inoperable and disgusting. There was no alternative parking for our ohv trailer. The website was misleading and no one would answer the support number provided. By far the worst experience we’ve ever had renting a cabin or house. I would not recommend Vacasa to anyone.

Not As Good As It Used To Be...

We stayed at this beautiful Amish cabin several times a few years ago when it was managed on site by Justin and Jennifer. It was great having someone on site to shovel the trails, provide wood, check your hot tub and provide additional supplies for a week long stay. That being said, the check in time of 4:00PM is too late, especially if you need to unload and go back 12 miles to town to purchase supplies. Upon entry, I noticed the floors in the cabin were dirty and warped. They provided 2 rolls of toilet paper, no Kleenex, 2 kitchen towels, 3 soap pods for a 7 day stay and firewood came 2 days later. The cabin has some housekeeping issued. There is NO cell service and you have to drive about 5 miles for reception. The main concern we had was there were no coverings on a full length glass door and half length door in the den. At night, you could see directly into the cabin and into the bathroom. I attempted to call Vacasa, but no cell reception which means limited/no 911 calls for emergency. It seems for almost $300 a night and $600 in fees we should not have to have towels and sheets in the holes where the coverings used to be. I called Vacasa the next morning from town. "Mike" apologized about the issue and told me that a work order would be initiated and that the lack of supplies was due to it was just a "starter kit", and we needed to supply the rest, which we did. We never heard back from Vacasa during our remaining 6 day stay by text or e-mail or phone or since we have been home, There were other issues, including housekeeping, that will be addressed with this management company. The property is very beautiful and we had a nice stay in spite of lack of concern for our safety

Great cabin next to Wolf Creek Ski Area

This is our second visit to this cabin. Really perfect for a small family with out of toddler age kids. Love the jacuzzi after a long day of the slopes.
