About this property

Mountain Cabin with Stunning Views, Hot Tub + Seasonal Pool Access

You’ll say “wow!” every morning when you look out on the mountains from your beautiful deck at Kickback Kabin. This is a place where you can truly relax and rejuvenate amid the incredible peace of the Great Smoky Mountains. This recently built home will tick all the boxes on your vacation checklist. You’ve found paradise.

Kickback Kabin is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, air-conditioned home that sleeps up to six guests. There’s so much to love about this home and you’ll realize it the moment you walk through the front door. Your spacious living room with cathedral ceiling includes a wall of windows on the woods and mountain vistas. The wraparound deck just beyond the wall of windows is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. Or, better yet, enjoy breakfast outdoors in the mountain air. The ultimate treat will be a good long soak in the bubbling hot tub. Sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the breathtaking view. What’s more, you’ll have free access to three pool areas, each of which includes other amusements such as foosball, ping pong and billiards.

Take a seat on the couch or in a comfy armchair to watch your flat-screen TV mounted above the decorative fireplace. You have cable TV and free Wi-Fi so you can send photos of your fun home to friends.

Kickback Kabin is built on an open floor plan with rooms flowing easily from one to another, promoting conversation and togetherness during your vacation. Your kitchen is a large space with plenty of cabinets to store your food. A complete complement of appliances, cookware and serving ware is ready for your arrival. Just stop off at a Gatlinburg grocery and pick up your ingredients. You can serve everyone at the dining room table that’s just steps from the open kitchen and living room.

Perhaps you won’t want to cook at all during vacation. Good news, Gatlinburg features a host of restaurants with excellent food. You can dine out every night if you want. There’s also a lot of other things to do in and around Gatlinburg. You can shop, ride horses, take a gondola up a mountain, fly on the ziplines, golf and hike. You’ll want to be sure to spend at least one day hiking or biking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You’ll see waterfalls, native wildlife and beautiful vistas that will take your breath away. You can also drive over to Dollywood and enjoy the thrilling rides, interesting shops and other attractions. There’s no end to the possibilities.

By day’s end, you’ll be ready to settle into your king-size bed and drift off to dreamland. You have a personal TV and a ceiling fan to help you relax and drift off to a good night’s sleep in the mountain air. If another couple is traveling with you, they’ll enjoy the second bedroom where they’ll find a queen-size bed with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Guests will love waking up to their view of the forest out their window. The third bedroom is perfect for any kids traveling with you to Kickback Kabin. Two twin-size beds and flat-screen TV make this a perfect haven for play. A large window provides a lovely view of the forest surrounding Kickback Kabin.

The cabin includes two full bathrooms for your group. Each has a shower/tub combination. Having multiple bathrooms makes getting ready for a new day so much easier for everyone. Before you know it, you’ll be out on the deck enjoying your coffee in the crisp mountain air.

You also have a washer and dryer within Kickback Kabin. Just toss in a load of clothes and head out for a day of play. What could be easier?

Kickback Kabin is a beautiful destination year-round, but if you come in winter, we advise arriving in a four-wheel-drive vehicle as roads can be icy and snow-packed in the mountains.

Make today the day you book your stay at Kickback Kabin and start planning all the fun you’ll have in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Beautiful Views

The cabin itself was very beautiful and clean. Pros: the view, clean, hot tub, enough room for six of us, close to the parkway. Cons: no internet service and no response from property manager on how to fix, uncomfortable bed upstairs, upstairs shower was SO tiny (I’m 5’3 140 pounds), the driveway was very hard to navigate…we eventually found what worked for us and it ended up being fine. A big SUV would definitely not make it up. All in all we enjoyed our stay and had a great time!!

Not very good wit communication

Should give more information about drive way that’s essentially on the side of a cliff and there’s no turn around

Driveway was treacherous

Pay attention to the previous reviews about the driveway and make sure to be there before dark. The driveway has a drop off on one side and the mountain on the other. Due to the angle that it hits the road, we had to drive up it backwards. Also, the beds upstairs are very old and hard. They are not pillow tops or foam. Place was clean, spacious and had everything you need.

Pricey for minimal amenities

Beautiful location. Needs a deep clean, bathroom needs repainted, hot tub should be elevated to allow better views from the deck. Better and more towels should be provided. Cooking was a nightmare due to lack of sufficient pots and pans. Driveway is also a pain. For the price, we expected a better amenities. Booked this house for our stay last minute, but there are definitely better suited cabins that give you more bang for your buck if you book ahead of time.

Beautiful Views, Steep Driveway, Definitely Recommend

We had a very nice week at the Kickback Kabin. Overall, I would recommend this as a nice place to stay with wonderful views. It is a simple place without a lot of frills but, it was just right for a mountain retreat while we explored Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The home has all of the essentials and everything was in good working order. While we were there the coffee maker stopped working and they were quick to replace it with a new one. Our only criticism is the upstairs bedrooms. We didn’t mind the size, despite them being pretty small. The mattress were not good. Our kids didn’t mind the twins beds but my wife and I woke up several days sore and I the mattress sit just an inch or two from the floor due to low ceilings. The other thing I want to highlight is the driveway. It’s been mentioned in other reviews and I need to stress it. It is steep and there’s a tight turn. I had to back my minivan up every time and if it had rained or been anything but dry pavement/gravel, I wouldn’t have made it. I can’t imagine what it would be like in the winter. I didn’t ask but, I wonder if they will work with you if you get there and can’t get up the driveway? Overall, it’s a nice place and I would recommend it. 👍🏻

Never again

The cabin is very nice and clean with nice mountain views. The driveway is treacherous and very hard to maneuver not to mention steep, this needs to be indicated in the description. The driveway will be the reason i will not consider renting this cabin again. Please be careful on the driveway especially in a large vehicle because there is no room to turn into the road so coming down will send you sliding into a drop off. I would suggest using google earth to view the driveway .

Amazing views! Great family getaway

We loved our stay at the kickback cabin. The house had all we needed for the stay. The views are amazing - sunset or sunrise! We'd sit in the morning with our coffee/tea/breakfast, relax and enjoy the view before a busy. Everything is super close by - Gatlinburg with shops and food (Crockett's Breakfast Camp hands down favorite!), the best spots for the Smoky Mountains and Dollywood. Coming home at night and enjoying a dip in the hottub under the stars was a bonus for my kids. I do also want to say the owners were flexible with us. We were originally booked last April but due to COVID and working hospitals couldn't take the family trip. Right before the trip was scheduled last year, they allowed us to rebook to this April even though we didn't have trip insurance purchased. After the last year the 5 of us needed the break and enjoyed every minute. Appreciate that flexibility. So yes the drive up isn't the easiest but after doing it once it wasn't horrible and if all the construction vehicles building all the houses up on the mountain can make it through the twists and turns, I think my minivan (with no 4 wheel drive) can too. It all added to the adventure after we got used to it! Just back up the driveway, remember it's an adventure and enjoy the view once you are parked.

Excellent views and property

This house was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and we had such an awesome time. The road up to the house and driveway did require some skill to turn around, but it was worth it. The hot tub was so nice after days of really long hikes and it was nice to have a big kitchen where I could cook when we didn’t want to eat out. I highly recommend this property.

Great view but needs maintenance.

I usually don't leave reviews, but I am a little disappointed. 1st, like all the other reviews, the driveway is very challenging. If you don't have all-wheel drive and a smaller vehicle, you are simply going to have issues. The only safe way I found to go up the driveway, is backwards. There is no place to turn around at the bottom of the driveway. 2nd, the house needs maintenance and upkeep. I found several items that didnt work. (Ie. Fireplace, master ceiling fan, front door lock, and many flickering lights) I also, wouldn't recommend adults sleeping upstairs, the beds are terrible and basically on the floor! The view is beautiful. However, that is not enough to bring us back to this cabin.

This trip was awful for me the driveway was a nightmare and I mean it being my first time in the mountains I had no idea the roads would be so little in the curves would be so short I will not be coming back although the cabin was very clean and everything we needed was provided for us didn't get to see much attractions but we still enjoy our trip. I'm not a hype person so being that high up made my anxiety go through the roof!!!

Almost 5 star

We had a very enjoyable 3 days in this cabin, even snowed for us. The kitchen is well stocked, house is clean and has all the amenities you would want/need. The driveway has been mentioned a few times in reviews so we were ready for it, I would have to agree with another guest that backing up the steep driveway is the best option and not too difficult. There were a couple of issues that the house management team really needs to address. The fireplace does not work and being a mountain cabin in the winter it would have been nice. The front door code keypad does not work either, fortunately we walked around the house and the back door also took the given code. This really needs to be fixed or at least in the description. All and all we had an amazing stay and would recommend given you know the issues up front.

Family vacation

The view was very nice; although the trek up to the cabin was very narrow and winding. The driveway up to the cabin is very difficult; and was unnerving each time we had to go up it. My husband found it easier to turn before the driveway and back all the way up to the cabin which isn't easy in the dark. The downstairs master bedroom is very comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms are in much need of new beds. My brother in law slept on the floor the last 2 nights because the twin beds were so hard. Because the cabin was a A-line frame, the upstairs bedroom and bathroom had a slanted low ceiling which my husband hit his head a couple of times. Kitchen items are very limited. The gas fireplace didn't work which was a HUGE disappointment; although the management company did offer compensation for it. We had a good vacation being with family; although I wouldn't rent this cabin again.

Very relaxing, beautiful view!!

The property was very nice and the cabin very clean. The view is awesome and having a momma bear and her 3 cubs show up on the deck was something to see. The road to the cabin is a bit scary, but we'll worth it. Strongly recommend 4 wheel drive for the driveway. Very tough to maneuver, ended up backing up to the cabin. Easy check in/check out. Had no issues during our stay. Would stay again!!!

We will be staying again

The post made it seem as though the pool was near by, yet no where to be found. The driveway was a nightmare - very steep and awkward turn. Besides that, it was an amazing stay. Very clean, amazing views, bear visitors, grocery delivery service was a bonus. It was nice and close to downtown Gatlinburg as well for all of our planned attractions. We are planning on staying again.

The driveway is Impossible to navigate. High risk to vehicles.

The driveway to the property is impossible to navigate. You either have to back in and back out and be hopeful that you don’t hit the side of the mountain or massive pothole on the turn or you have to be hopeful that no one is staying at the property at the other end of the road. It is very steep and whenever you do power your vehicle it slings gravel everywhere. We would have not rented this property if we knew how difficult it was to get in and out. The upstairs beds are not very comfortable because they are short and they are literally on the floor. The fireplace did not work. We called and people did arrive to look at it on Friday but said that it was an issue at the tank but it was not repaired during our stay. The property is clean and relatively spacious and the views are nice because of all of the vacant trees due to the fire. If a couple is looking for a great getaway and does not want to leave the property frequently then it could be a good place to stay. We needed to leave early because of the health emergency and phone calls and emails were not returned.
