The cabin was just as advertised. The host (Amy) was absolutely fantastic and wonderfully helpful. View is absolutely amazing and the sunrises were nothing short of spectacular. A perfect getaway.
Our trip was too short. We can't to do hiking to get incredible views. Found ourselves not doing any of that and just soaked up the amazing views from the cabin. Absolutely stunning. Will be back for alot more family trips.
The home was super clean, well appointed and very close to Blue Ridge. The owners were great to communicate with and made our stay perfect!
It was perfect!
A beautiful home with gorgeous views in a fantastic location! My wife and I loved staying there and cannot wait to come back! The outdoor fireplace was the BEST! We spent hours out there!
We really enjoyed our stay at Amy’s cabin. It was very cozy and had everything we needed for the week. The leaves were changing colors and the view from the cabin was spectacular. Our dogs also enjoyed hiking on the trails at the bottom of the mountain, just a few minutes from the cabin. We’re already thinking about our trip for next year!
We all loved the cabin and can’t wait to come back next year! The views are so beautiful! The cabin is very clean, comfortable and has plenty of room for everyone. Personally, I didn’t think the road to the cabin was difficult (even in the rain).
This is an awesome property - super easy to get to, great communication with owner! Property is super clean and has great views! Will definitely go back!
This was our home base during the very best vacation we ever had. The morning sunrises cannot be beat! The cabin had everything we needed and was close to Lake Blue Ridge and tubing in Taccoa. We will definitely return! Thank you Amy!!!
We had a terrific stay, making full use of the kitchen and grill. Loved the porches on all three levels. The sunrise is lovely and, if you take a short walk, you can also catch the sunset. The house had everything we needed and the place was spotless. Photos represent the house well.
We booked this cabin primarily for the 1) view, 2) outdoor space, and 3) proximity to downtown dining options and it met all expectations. The interior is nicely decorated and comfortable for 4-6 adults. Like most area cabins at higher elevations, you must accept access via private gravel roads and steep grades. 4 wheel drive was not needed but it is on a narrow lane to the top and as the listing states, a higher clearance SUV or truck is probably necessary.
Even in early July weather there was a nice breeze usually for relaxing on the covered deck and has enough privacy but not feel remote with only 1 cabin within sight. Anticipate a 15 to 20 minute drive to downtown where there are many very good restaurant options.
We enjoyed our short stay. The property was removed enough from town to really feel disconnected but yet close enough to enjoy restaurants and shopping. Lots of hiking near by. The space is well maintained and all that we needed. The outside fireplace was cozy and a real plus!
The sunrise views were a true bonus. Only 2 of us and our dog but a family of 6 would be quite comfortable!
We totally enjoyed our mountaintop retreat for three+ weeks: the views, the breezes, the fierce storms, the eastern sunrises, the black bears, hiking, dinners on the porch, family visits. The accommodations were comfortable including the foam-type mattresses. It’s already been said by other guests, but it’s worth repeating: you’ll need all-wheel drive. The gravel road can be dicey, especially after a hard rain. But it’s worth it to be on top of the mountain. Grateful for this special place!

Absolutely amazing!
My first visit to Blue Ridge was the best ever! Our stay at the Knotty Pine Cabin was more than what we expected! It was the perfect fit for our two 8 lb fur babies and 7 guests! My family and I throughly enjoyed the comfort of the cabin. It was super clean and decorated beautifully with new appliances, great WiFi, huge TVs and the most breathtaking shower in the upstairs master bedroom! Me and my friends had a blast on the foozeball table as well. I can’t forget about the view.. A M A Z I N G! I definitely would recommend staying here!
My husband and I wanted a long weekend away from work and the pressures of life. This cabin was perfect. Check in was seamless and we had a few questions for Amy and she always responded quickly. We cooked at the cabin every meal and had no trouble finding exactly what we needed to use. Amy had thought of everything.
One day we wanted to go for a hike and at the bottom of the road to the house is an easy trail that takes you through the deep woods and around a few streams.
If you are looking for a getaway but with all the comforts of home, this is it! We will be back..
Also, Amy now has garbage pickup at the cabin so that won’t be a problem anymore.
We have stayed in many a cabin for spring break, usually in TN or NC. We had heard many great things about the town of Blue Ridge and are so happy we found this particular cabin. It is one of the best we've ever stayed in, and I'm super picky about choosing a nice place for us to be comfortable for a week. The drive up is adventurous and the views once you arrive are 10/10. The cabin is very cozy and inviting and tastefully decorated. It has all you will need to make yourself at home. Check in was very smooth and the cabin was extremely clean. Amy was available instantaneously but we only conversed once to tell her we had arrived. We honestly had no needs the entire time, it was all there. If you're planning a trip to Blue Ridge I encourage you to check the availability of this cabin you will not be sorry.
What a lovely cabin. The last day we were there had the most beautiful sunrise.
The place was very clean and the master bedroom bed and shower upstairs were both incredible. With just the 2 of us, we didn’t use the main floor or basement bed/bath, but they were all decorated nicely with a sweet touch of a mini chocolate bar by each pillow.
I reached out to Amy for some questions and she was quick in responding kindly. Communication was A+.
The drive up was steep and made me a little nervous at certain parts, but our SUV made it up without 4 wheel drive, and the views at the top were definitely worth it.
Most rentals I've stayed in do not have cable, usually just smart TVs, so having direct TV in all of the rooms was a huge plus.
The grocery store wasn't too far away, so we stocked up and cooked all of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen, without having to go anywhere.
My significant other even saw a bear in the road during our stay, so he sure was happy! He asked me to include this in the review --
"The couch downstairs wins the award for the most comfortable couch I've ever sat in."

Beautifully decorated cabin with breathtaking views!
We spent spring break at this cabin. The decor was so beautiful throughout the entire cabin-- from the chairs, the rugs, the beds, the wall decor, windows, all the way to the smallest of trinkets etc... such character. :)
This cabin is very spacious! Each bedroom gives access to the outside porch/deck with a private patio off the master. The views were so beautiful I would wake up early to watch the sunrise over the mountain. (I wish I could post some pictures of what I took while staying there)
It was about 4 miles down Weaver Creek Road before getting to the turn up the ridge (which was another .7 tenths of a mile to the cabin). It is a one lane gravel road up the mountain that seems intimidating but you will make it to the top. :)
The cabin had plenty of stuff to cook with and clean up if you needed to and I loved that the smart tv's allowed for netflix, hulu, or vudu if you want it. There were plenty of towels and I loved the chocolates beside the bedside tables. Yum!
There was no wood for the fireplace outside so you would need to bring your own (which we did not want to fool with because we already had our cars loaded down.)
Be prepared to take your own trash with you! That was surprising to me because I've never had to do that before and we ended up carrying it home instead of going to the landfill to drop it off (However, it is not far once you get down the mountain).
Overall, I still rated the stay a 5 star. I didn't even care to leave the cabin to go into town because I was so comfortable there. I went down the mountain one time while there. lol. And I was perfectly ok with that! :)
The house was spectacular! Beautifully decorated to that last detail. The view of the Blue Ridge mountains were amazing! My family never wanted to leave the property, cause again it was amazing!
