Thank you for the absolutely stunning atmosphere!! My sister and I spent an amazing weekend with our father who retired and moved to the area. He felt comfortable and right at home, whiles we felt like kids again. We will be back sincerely Angel and Mary!
Rice cooker, electric kettle, throws and warm blankets, laundry soap— everything you could need, at your fingertips. Clean, warm and esthetically pleasing
This home has it all, privacy, comfort, nice amenities, great water views, pet accommodations, and is close to Charleston harbor, beaches, shopping, and tasty restaurants! We highly recommend this gem in the woods!
We were thrilled by this cozy, beautifully appointed home! Lovely furnishings, amazing water views, outdoor fire pits and decking. Access to the inlet for (in warmer months) wonderful for paddle boarding or kayaking. A huge TV in the living room with EVERY channel possible and another TV in the master bdr. Beds were very comfortable as were pillows etc. I'd give it more than five stars if I could!
This was a early birthday getaway for my husband, myself and our LabradorK who thoroughly enjoyed herself. (fenced yard a big plus!)
The kitchen has nearly every thing you'd need. We lacked for nothing and can't wait to go back! It's very close to town and just minutes from Shore Acres State Park, with those amazing gardens, big waves on the rocks during storms, the golf course, and also the marina is just minutes away.
The owner is very quick to respond and very helpful! We felt they did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We feel so fortunate to have found this gem! We very highly recommend!!!
The home was quiet and clean. We enjoyed the view of the slough and the patio seating. I appreciated that the kitchen had everything we needed (pots/pans, dishes, basic seasonings, etc) to prepare meals. I would definitely stay here again!
If I could give this place more than five stars I would. Super nicely appointed and set up perfectly to stay if you have a pup with you. The fire pit overlooking the water is magical. It is a bit of a drive from town so get your firewood in advance. Absolutely would go back!
Very well detailed .. enjoyed the late night fires and grills, brought kayaks and paddle boards for our own lake access .. everyone had a wonderful visit.
Home was comfortable, beds as well, plenty of towels for bathrooms. Having the bonus of a fenced front yard was great for the dog! Enjoyed having a morning fire outside in the mornings.
Very comfy and homey. Grill for burgers and fire pit for smore's. We were out and about taking advantage of all the coastal fun, and this was a great place to relax and recharge at night.
If I could give the interior and amenities of this property 6 stars, I would. There were SO many thoughtful small details in the house, from side table lamps with built in usb ports, to the dog towels/blankets for the dogs, the food dishes for the dogs, the excellent food recommendations in the guide book… this place was a real treat. We only wish we would have stacked our trip differently to stay at this quiet retreat longer than one night.
Had an amazing time. It is an awesome space cannot wait to go back again. They thought of everything. And the bed was like sleeping on a cloud best night sleep I have ever had.
This was an amazing experience. Communication about check-in and check-out was flawless. The property is furnished with very tasteful furniture and upgrades. This VRBO is very clearly dog friendly with many toys, a double water bowl and easy-access poop bag dispensers.
It over looks a beautiful lake and is very cozy with a large TV in the bedroom for movies.
The owner didn't need us to strip all the beds and wash the sheets like many VRBOs require. In fact, I think this was the only VRBO that has been so generous as to let us leave everything on the beds for the cleaners to deal with. A real treat.
Will definitely be returning. This is our new place in Oregon.

Traveling is adventure, and I think adventure comes in staying and doing unique things. I love staying off the beaten path whether it be hosting or traveling. I believe it’s the little things that you remember in a trip, and usually not the grand things you may have originally envisioned.
Why they chose this property
We are extremely privileged and grateful to showcase this property that we fell in love with while on visiting Charleston one day for lunch. Although it was beat up and neglected, we felt a connection to the property because of it's privacy, views and felt with a little TLC we could renovate to meet our standards and provide guests with a different choice of lodging having stayed in numerous vacation rentals in the area. We were tired of faded quilts and rusty seagulls as decorative pieces and wanted to infuse our style of living while still proving comfort and coziness while being inside. We love the early morning coffee in the backyard with views of the water, and the ability to host and have get together's from the front yard or backyard.
What makes this property unique
Our home offers privacy, water access and beautiful views all while being done in a completely contemporary and modern way. The home was fully renovated in 2018 from front yard, back yard and entire interior living space.
