Nice place to get away

It's a beautiful home set on a large property. It has a beautiful pool that we enjoyed and lots of room to spread out in. We met the owner who was very nice and obviously takes great pride in his property. In renting this property, you should know that it is 5-10 minutes from the main road on a gravel drive that is moderately maintained. There are a few items that should be fixed: no latch on the master bedroom door and no toaster. Bedrooms: Master with King 2nd bedroom down (2 Queens) 3rd bedroom (Queen) 4th bedroom (Queen) 5th bedroom (Bunk bed with single up and full down plus separate queen). Overall we had an enjoyable and memorable stay.

Awesome country house

Great secluded location with beautiful view and swimming pool. If you like country living this is the place for you. Commercial ice maker in garage is a nice touch. Two small observations: Bed count seems off, which did not make any difference to our group because we were smaller and kitchen could use a little better cooking pots, pans and utensils. If you are not used to living or staying in the county the hot water has an odor. Not an issue as it it just the water reacting to the anodes in the hot water heater.

Loved memories made at Mobley Ranch home! Kids, adults and grandmothers had a great time. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend this home if your planning to be away from the city. Thanks for allowing us to make wonderful memories with family!

Family get together

The description and icon images on the bunk room makes it seem like that room sleeps more than it does. If the VRBO description says the house sleeps 20, not sure where the other 5 sleep as there were only beds for 15. Was listed as 4 full baths but only had 3.5. Outlets in the bunk room don’t work and there is a heavily stained area on carpet in bunk room. There were several lights that did not work. Upstairs bedrooms had smoke detectors with the battery compartment open and no battery inside. Deep cleaning needed especially for fans and return air vents on the ceiling. Also the splash pad bathrooms needed cleaning. Don’t expect to have reliable internet. The pool and BBQ pit area was fabulous and lawn and grounds were beautiful. There was plenty of AC! Our family made it work for us. The open living and kitchen spaces were great. We enjoyed being outside and looking for animals. Very peaceful and quiet.

Graduation Family Celebration

This was a beautiful property on a gorgeous piece of land. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is pretty remote but we see that as a plus not a negative. Hayley, the manager was very responsive and the owner couldn’t have been more friendly. There was plenty of sleeping areas and lots of spaces for people to gather and visit both inside and out. The weather was cold but sunny. We lit a fire in the fire pit and everyone was very comfortable. We loved watching for the wildlife. We would definitely come back. As a matter of fact a couple of the guest are planning to rent in the future. Strongly recommend the property to anyone who doesn’t mind a slightly remote stay.

Amazing Place

We came for a game day weekend but regret that we were not able to spend more time just enjoying this home and all it had to offer! The kids loved the play area and wildlife both inside and out! Don't plan to just pop into town if you forgot something - three miles off the main road ;makes you think twice about that! Definitely would do it again if we have the opportunity.

Great but far

Once you arrive at the home you’re in for a great time. The home is large and plenty of space for you and your guests. What the description fails to mention is the home is basically a hunting lodge about 30-40 minutes from College Station. It seemed like the home does not get a ton of use (which is understandable as it is a specialty home) as there were some large wasps throughout the backyard and in the BBQ grill. The home uses well water and has a bit of a sulfur smell when showering. Last, all the beds (outside of the one in the master bedroom) were more suitable for one big person. All that said we loved our stay there. The stars light up at night and the pool was perfect after a day in the heat. Air conditioning was great and it was a joy to stay there. I just wish we knew all the details I stated initially going into it. Hayley (the host) was great and very informative and replied promptly. I can’t appreciate her more. Hope y’all have as much fun at the house as we did.

House and property are amazing!

We loved the setting, the property, and the house. The manor is set well off the main road down a long gravel driveway. It is extremely remote. We almost made the drive in our Sprinter Class C motorhome. Very glad that we didn't as we would not have made it down the long driveway. The owner stopped by and visited with us. He is very nice. The house could use some TLC. Many lightbulbs are burned out. AC filters are clogged. My allergies were on high alert. Everything considered, it was still a very enjoyable place for the family.

Relax, hike, swim, play, sleep - repeat!

Property was perfect for a group of 20. Not too far out, so we also had a few day or evening visits. We went on a 4+ hike around the property enjoying all the wildlife and tons of butterflies. We especially liked watching the cardinals feed their babies in the tree just outside the kitchen window. Everything was clean and plenty of room to work in the kitchen and the grilling area outside. Yes, bring bottled water as suggested. I would bring one nice large knife. They just didn't have a tall bladed one and that is my preference. They had plenty of long skinny ones.

Great place to relax and entertain

Spent the weekend here - two families with grown children/Aggie students - and had plenty of room to spread out and not be crowded - great place to entertain college kids with the pool. Grilling area was fantastic; whitetail deer at the feeder and bugling elk in the background was a bonus. Located outside of Bryan - extremely private and quiet. Property owner stopped by to check on us - super friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Great place to stay!

Great Texas Outdoor Getaway

We celebrated my in-laws 50th anniversary on this property. It was great. Very spacious, very accommodating for the 3 families represented. The property manager promptly responded to all of our requests and was very responsive. The hotel-like ice maker in the garage was a very nice (and heavily used) feature. The pool was very warm, and the play area was great for family activities. My father in-law even saw an elk crash through the brush one morning and he said it was the most memorable part of the trip. Bring bottled water. Definitely recommended for a peaceful getaway amidst the Texas outdoors.

Great family weekend location.

This place was a hit with the family, adults and children alike. The hot tub was still not working properly but all else was fine..there is a smell of sulfur with the first showers after water has been in the water heater a while but it clears up. Great place, we will try to stay here again!

God's Wildlife Moments Outdoors

Its the most beautiful place, inside and out. We had five families here and we still had room. If you love the outdoors, you will love this place. We love the outdoors. We got to meet Mr. Mobley and learn a little history on the land and home, which we loved. Even with the rain, it was amazing. The grandjoys loved the splash pad, especially the three little ones. So thankful this was the start of our busy summer because it was so very peaceful here. No city noise, we LOved.

Graduation celebration

This property was lovely and peaceful. and at first look it was well taken care of. However, there were several maintenance problems we encountered. The hot tub was not working( we later found out that the owner had disconnected the heating element but this was not reported to property manager until we reported it), in one of the bedrooms only 3 of the ten can lights were working and neither of the lamps were. Owner needs an electrician to come out to assess the problem. Had to call for light bulbs and batteries for lamps and TV, which were brought quickly to us. The pool also was not heated although it said in the amenities that is was. Same reason as hot tub. There was a toaster listed on amenities, but we never found one. There was also a leak from one of the toilets that was reported on a Saturday but no plumber arrived, so hopefully it is being fixed this week. The grounds are lovely with a pond that some of our guests fished it. We saw many different animals while we were there. The poolscape was lovely. There was plenty of seating inside and out. Beds were comfortable. There was a play area for younger children. I would recommend this property as long as some of the maintenance issues were resolved.

50th Birthday Party

We invited all 8 of our children and their spouses, our grandchild, parents, sister and her children out to the ranch. This place was fun for all of us. We were sad we had to go. The kids played football, fished, swam, went on walks, and rode around taking in scenery. We will be going again.
