Cozy and comfortable

Perfect place to stay for a holiday weekend. Close to the water, flatter lot, The best screened in back porch ever. Very comfortable queen-sized beds, I believe they’re new. Could use a dresser or a larger dresser But overall a great little place to stay. Would rent again

Quiet cove

We had a great weekend, social distancing while still enjoying the lake. The screened porch was wonderful to relax and watch the water. The cabin could have been cleaner, but the cleaners weren't done when we arrived, so they might have been hurrying to finish. Good place for family fun!

wonderful lake cabin with everything you’ll need

We loved the cabin so much and it was exactly as pictured in the listing. It really had everything we needed for a short, fun couples getaway. The dock area was great for floating on the water and relaxing. Everything in the house was clean and in good condition. The host Ashli was absolutely wonderful to communicate with. We had a small mishap and broke a plate and she was so understanding and kind about it. Would definitely want to stay here again whenever we go back to the lake!

Great location and relaxing vacation on the lake!

We enjoyed our week in the cabin. The location was great for our family at the end of a cove and not too busy. We rented a pontoon boat for the week from Captain Bob's and it fit well in the dock. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the boat - caught bass and catfish. The Lake Burger restaurant is very close to the cabin and you can drive your boat up and dock. There is a gas station right in front of the restaurant. We also enjoyed Mac's on the Lake for pizza and Frank and Louie's for fun fare. We used the fire pit at the cabin by the lake almost every day - we brought our own camp chairs. We sat in the screened in porch every day for breakfast and I enjoyed my coffee watching the lake - beautiful mornings and sunsets. Overall a wonderful and relaxing week at the cabin.

Wonderful Waterfront Getaway

This cabin on the water was perfect for our family getaway to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas the same week due to Covid we had to get together and celebrate when everyone could be off work and travel. The cabin was very clean, spacious and had alll the amenties needed for a weeks stay. The bedrooms were roomy and had comfy beds. Even though the weather was cool we enjoyed hanging out on the screened porch. Our son loved catching fish off the dock. The area was off the beaten patch and private. This time of year the neighbors were not around and it was so quiet. We enjoyed bird watching. We saw pelicans, eagles, ducks and seagulls. We also loved watching the fish jump in the water. It was a wonderful waterfront getaway and if the opportunity happened again we would definately consider a return trip.

Family Ozark vacation

We rented this cabin on Lake of the Ozarks for a summer vacation for our family. The house is situated on a quiet cove, so there wasn’t a lot of boat traffic. The lot has a nice front yard with a gentle slope towards the water, so it made for easy water access. The cabin was lovely and very cozy. It looked like it had been recently remodeled, but it still had that “cabin” feel. We had plenty of room for the six adults and two children in our group. My favorite room was the screened in porch! The ride in was somewhat of an adventure. The roads are pretty remote and hilly. (We are from Illinois so aren’t used to hills of any kind!) Ashli had warned us that the Google maps didn’t take you to the right place. The directions that she provided were very helpful though. We had a wonderful trip and I would recommend these accommodations!

Secluded, quite lake house.

We enjoyed our stay at this lake house, saw comments about road, yes its kinda tricky especially pulling a 19' boat. One of the neighbors stopped by said we could actually leave trailer by the ramp House was nice enjoyed screened in porch. bedding was comfortable. Just FYI. Stairs to upper loft are steep (children or older folks). We really liked everything with the house. The dock wasn't to clean from previous renters, just a note at night it's like arachnophobia. The spiders are terrible so you can't enjoy night fishing off dock. Also the water is not 20' deep off dock as described, it's 4' and thats with a full lake. It doesn't drop off until a few houses on down the shore line. But we did catch some nice channel cats. Dock was only disappointing thing, with spiders and no lawn chairs to sit out and enjoy and relax with a pole out. I would recommend just know water is not that deep as in description.

Wonderful Get A Way At The Lake!

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a private dock and a launchpad right next door. All the beds, pillows and linens were in great condition. Kitchen was updated, master bathroom was beautiful and spacious. The screened in porch was comfy for taking your morning coffee and was also nice during a small rain. We also loved the outdoor concert patio and large gas grill. The yard is wonderful with a large shade tree, in fact it had a lot of shade for taking your lawn chair out watching the lake. The lake was pretty calm right out from the dock and our 19’ ski boat got around really well in this “finger” of Gravois arm. We also swam and took our kayak out off the dock. The owner provided excellent directions to the cabin. It was a huge plus getting to bring our beagle along as well. The only thing wasn’t 100% perfect was the last mile before you reach the home. It turns into a 1 lane dirt road that’s pretty steep. When your not pulling your boat it’s not a big deal but was a little tense with the boat. Having said that everything else makes up for the road once you arrive. The neighbors we meet were also very friendly and it was a great get away on memorial weekend.

Great place!

Our family really enjoyed the dock for fishing. Home was very cozy, loved sitting out on the patio watching the boys fish. Very calm and peaceful. We could only use 1/2 of the small grill so we didn’t grill out but once. Which was fine as the kitchen was well stocked with appliances needed. Only thing I have to say negative would be the toilet downstairs needs updated and the infamous stairs up to the loft. (I didn’t even attempt them) too steep. Would definitely rent this again!

Cozy cabin on a Quiet Cove Close to the Action

The cabin is cozy and had just enough room for 6 adults and two little kids. There would be room for more kiddos, but any more adults would mean pretty tight quarters. All the beds are very comfy and each room has a ceiling fan. The kitchen is well stocked and there was plenty of propane for the grills. The dock is very nice. We docked our pontoon boat there all week and used the ramp one property over to put the boat in and out. There was between 4 and 6 feet of water under the dock and it was great for swimming and floating. The host provided plenty of firewood to have multiple campfires during our stay. The house is well stocked with toys for the kids and babies. The A/C works excellent: The temperature outside was nearing 100 degrees every day and even the upstairs stayed cold. The wifi was was fast enough to stream movies in multiple rooms at one time. Plan to bring coolers and ice for beverages. We tried to put a bunch of warm beverages in the fridge and it took ages to catch up and get cold again. We enjoyed that fact that the house was on the end of a long, quiet cove, so there was minimal boat traffic. Lots of fun bars and restaurants are just 10 to 20 minutes away by boat or 10 minutes by car. We found some good fishing off the dock and by boat a couple points down.

Nice little Cabin

We really enjoyed our time here. Nice quiet cove for swimming and kayaking. I will say there are quiet a bit of spiders, we even had one brown recluse we had to kill. That being said the house was setup perfectly for adults on the main level and kids upstairs in the loft. One thing for others to be aware of, front door of house is into the loft area - that was kind of a shock to us. Overall a nice house.

Great house with some hiccups

We had a great time on the lake. The biggest issue is the road getting there. We arrived at night and it was challenging to say the least. Single lane road with no pull offs. So if you don’t have the right away, you may be backing up for a bit. The house is below the road and hard to see at night. It’s about a 100 degree turn onto the driveway. If you have a vehicle that’s raised at bit, bring it. We scraped the bottom of our van a couple of times. The doc was awesome to fish from but had a bunch of spider webs. Don’t hesitate to rent this place. Just arrive in the daytime.

Okay but not ideal

This is a decent casual house for vacationing at the lake. If you’re looking for that special place with extra charm, however, this isn’t it. Just walking around the property, the flower beds and planters were full of weeds, no flowers. There was dog poo in the side yard by the patio, maybe from the previous renter (?). The picnic table had a soggy paper towel roll on it. When grilling out, my husband remained standing to avoid the ants climbing on the picnic table. There is a small iron grate in the grass just off the sidewalk that is overgrown with weeds. I tripped and fell our first day there because I didn’t see it, banging up my knee. Inside the house, there were cleanliness and maintenance issues: bedsheets with an old stain, a very wobbly kitchen stool. My dog found an old bone in a recliner chair, and I also found a pen and some ear buds among the detritus. The Keurig machine didn’t work, and it had stale water sitting in it. Then there are the stairs. It’s hard to see from the photos, but the stairs leading from the upper living area down to the main floor are steep and a bit slippery. The hosts have a baby gate that we used. We rented the place because it’s dog friendly, but the stairs aren’t. The bathroom upstairs was nice, with a jetted tub and great shower head. Too bad it’s up all those stairs. The downstairs toilet is so old, the seat is round. And then there were the ticks. On Day 2, we spent the afternoon sitting out by the lake in the wooden chairs. And got ticks, nine of them. That ended our ability to sit out by the lake or use the fire pit. Two days later, we found more ticks on us and in the screened-in porch. I emailed our host who said the lawn had been treated a few weeks prior but unfortunately, there was nothing else to be done due to approaching storms. Seems part of the reason for the ticks was because the neighbor hadn’t mown his yard in quite awhile. Still, if you know people are going to be using your outdoor area, be zealous in making that area safe for humans and pets. The last Vrbo place we stayed felt welcoming and homey, like the hosts had made an effort. Not here.

Steep driveway otherwise perfect

This was a great place to stay! Clean and great location!! The only issue we ran into was the driveway. If you have a boat and trailer it’s hard to park ( even with a seasoned driver). It’s pretty steep with a very sharp turn. Other than that our stay was perfect!

Great Family Spot

This was a great place to bring the family for a quick weekend away. The yard was a great size and easy for the grandparents to be able to walk to the dock and hang out by the camp fire. Kids loved to kayak around the cove as well. Our family enjoyed the covered patio to still enjoy the outside but not get bit up at night. The boat slip being right next to the dock was a big plus as well. Everyone enjoyed the trip and we had a great vacation.

We are a husband and wife team. We love to create furniture from scratch, restore or update old furniture, do house projects, and raise our family. This home has been the best project yet. We hope to provie you withe a pleasant and memorable experience. We hope you enjoy the home as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location! We waited for the perfect home on the perfect spot, in the perfect cove. We found it! Just outside the crowds on the Osage arm, but close enough to jump in the action. You get the rustic cabin feel in the woods with the added benefit of lake life. The cabin is just a 15 minute drive to the new Ozarks International Raceway.

What makes this property unique

With this property, you don't walk out the back door and immediately feel like you are about to fall off a cliff. Most of the homes at the Ozarks have a very steep lakefront, which can be scary at times. We have a young family and did not want to worry about our children falling when they went outside. This home has the perfect outdoor space for the young, old, and in-between.
