About this property

With sauna and hot tub in the woods, river side. Next to Dolomiti National Park

Located at the beginning of Val Canzoi next to the Caorame River, Alla Casetta b&b lies in the country side of the Dolomiti Bellunesi.
The house is the only dwelling at the bottom of a little valley. It is a peaceful and solitary place. It is completely surrounded by nature. The quiet woods and peaceful hum of the running river are the only sounds. Mount San Mauro, Grave, and Tre Pietre provide a stunning scenic background.
Because of its location, La Casetta is suspended in relaxation, away from the urban routine. Still, urban necessities are just 2 kilometers away. The nearest village features a bar, restaurant, and grocery store.
The lively town of Feltre is also nearby (6km). It features Renaissance architecture, a historic castle and medieval defensive walls. There is a bi-weekly market in addition to its many shops, restaurants and museums.

Deep dive into Nature

Great host, lots of nice talks and great tips where and how to explore the Bellunese Alps. Can recommend. We spent great 2 weeks there with the whole family. The one and only thing we missed a bit (travelling as family and having dinner there in the evening) was a dish-washer; which also would actually be more economical, as it is proven to save water and energy as compared to (thorough! i.e. rinsing off dish liquid as needed!) hand wash. And it would have saved us some discussions on the evening 😉. But otherwise everything else was as expected.

We komen zeer zeker terug!!! Grazie mille familie Sommacal!

Great place, wonderful host

If you are looking for a beautiful place with the soothing sound of a river running through it, Alla Casetta B&B is your spot. It is a bit off the highway, so a vehicle is recommended for making trips to Feltre and nearby attractions. And Christian Sommacal is a superb host who presents a fabulous breakfast each day, and helps guests with excursion suggestions that match ability and desire. He will even help you cook on the teppanyaki grill he built by the stream. We all had a wonderful time, including the children.

A nature escape in the dolomites

This location and property was perfect for our family (2adults and 4 children-10-1yr old) as we wanted to be in nature yet close to a town. The hospitality was outstanding, warm welcoming, great suggestions of activities-hikes, gondola ride to the top of the mountain , towns to visit and restaurants and even set up paragliding contact for us to fly! (He was considerate of our children’s ages for the activities and all were appropriate and perfect!) Breakfast was delicious, and our children loved the homemade muffins. The rooms were comfortable and everything was clean. Fresh fruit was on the fruit trees and was enjoyed. We rented out the three bedrooms to have the place to ourselves and it could have slept another family easily. There was plenty of space both indoor and outdoor to enjoy. After a days hike we came back and enjoyed the river that’s located on the property. It’s so peaceful. For future renters while we were there a hot tub and sauna was being installed which would only want to make you stay at this place longer. We stayed for three nights and I wished we would have booked more days here.
