My family really enjoyed our week at this house. The house is clean and has wonderful amenities. We definitely recommend it to others and will most likely rent it again.
We really enjoyed the property and it’s location. The house was clean and we really enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. We were able to enjoy sitting outside and grilling meals. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We loved Marco Island!
Six adults (friends) rented the house for a week!!
When checking in everything was good until the pool temperature wasn’t heating properly and reached out to host ( John) about issues and after daily attempts to reset breakers etc , hot tub would never get very hot?? Grill is definitely in need of replacement!! Carpeting in need of replacement!!
The location was absolutely perfect! On the water, close to the beach, food, whatever you need! The check in/out process was seamless. We never needed anything, but contact information was provided had something came up.
The kids loved the pool. The lanai was spacious with a wonderful outside grilling area. My only complaint about the place was the grill itself. The burners have seen their better day and the provided grill brush was basically disintegrated. Doesn’t seem like a huge deal, however if one didn’t properly clean the grill, the homeowner will charge a grill cleaning fee.
We never utilized, but there were adult sized bikes in the garage along with some beach toys and a wagon.
If our travels ever brought us to Marco island again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your place!
The house has everything we needed for our Marco Island vacation, nice heated pool, beach chairs, bikes, all possible cooking utensils, quiet neighborhood, walkable to several restaurants and the beach. As a suggestion, it would be nice to replace some of the beach chairs, but overall we are very happy with our stay.
This house was perfect for our family! Lots of open space and the pool and hot tub were great. We used the fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill too. The shower in the master bath has awesome water pressure! The owners provided good instructions for everything in the house. The neighborhood is very nice too- very quiet. We would totally stay here again.
This house was perfect for our family. The pool/hot tub size-wise was exactly what we needed for our twins (5) who are good, but new swimmers, along with our older boys (10 & 8) who like a little more adventure. The dock is visible from the pool area which made us feel safe with them wanting to fish every second they weren’t in the pool. Kids caught mostly catfish from the dock but a few Jack’s and Snappers popped up every now and then. All in all they had a blast. Bring the bug spray if you plan to fish at night!
Each of the bedrooms has a walkout to the lanai and even one of the bathrooms has an exterior door to the lanai. Great for quick trips to the potty for the kiddos.
Kitchen was stocked with all the things we needed to cook/clean etc. Icemaker outside was a plus. We used the grill outside a couple times and it was a very nice set up. Just really loved the outdoor space of this home which is where we spent 90% of our time while awake. Beds were super comfortable, too!
The beach is a 15 min walk so be prepared to drive if you have small children. It wasn’t feasible in the heat of July for us! Would be easy to bike otherwise and this house supplied 5. The beach chairs, toys, umbrella etc. need replacing but we made due for the one afternoon we spent at the beach.
There is a great park close by called Mackle Park. It has a splash pad so kids should wear their suits.
Sunsets are a must! If you can rent a kayak, I would recommend taking it out early to shell on the many islands off the coast and then late in the evening to catch the sunset from the water. We also rented sea doos for an hour which was great fun!
Restaurants that are a must:
1) Lee bees (cash only). The platter is amazing!
2) Snook Inn - always worth the wait
3) Doreen’s - the chilaquiles were delish
4) Joey’s - New York style pizza
We love Marco and can’t wait to come back!!
Been to Florida many times. Had never seen the Everglades. Flew to Miami. Rented a convertible and drove to Marco Island. The house was beautiful. Quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach. Stocked with everything needed. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and having the private pool. Would definitely stay at this property again.
