A great beach cottage in the middle of everything on the Outer Banks, Shopping, dinning, recreation, National Parks, First Colony in America, First Flight Memorial to the Wright Brothers, Cape Hatters Light House, Hang gliding, and Great Night Life with Great Food.

The house is decorated in a beach theme, the rooms are a comfortable size, there is parking for eight cars. There are very nice out door spaces with sitting areas, picnic table, grill, and patio.

The property is in a central location for exploring the outer banks. It was a good size for our family of four and had everything we needed for our week stay.

Like home way from home

Nothing but good to say. Perfect amount of room and space, basic needs easily provided for. Super convenient location, beach on one side, sound on the other offering beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day within walking distance. Our host and hostess were kind and super super responsive. The fact that my furfamily was allowed to be with me was probably the biggest seller prior to arriving and experiencing so many other positives. If they will have us, we would love to make this a regular home away from home when visiting the OBX. The only downside is not at all their fault and there is nothing they can do to make it better. Even though it's only a couple blocks away, crossing the busy highway to get to the beach is a huge challenge as there isn't a crosswalk, light or any kind of bridge that would make it easier to accommodate pedestrian traffic (and their furkids).

Cozy Home, Great Location

We had a great stay at this Outer Banks home. It was really cozy and nicely decorated with a great vacation vibe. The location was perfect, and the hosts were super friendly and responsive.The WiFi was fine for getting my work done remotely. However, we did hit some unusual winter weather, which made the house very cold since the heating system wasn’t designed for such low temperatures (which are rare in the area even in February when we visited).Overall, we’d definitely recommend this place—just check the forecast if you’re visiting in winter.

Great location! Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It’s directly across from Hayman Park, for walking the dog or have the kids can play on the playground. The beach is just a quick drive away. The home itself is clean and well equipped for our stay. We loved it!!!

The best VRBO experience I’ve ever had..

Perfect vacay stay

We loved staying at this property during our recent OBX trip. The fenced in yard is such an added bonus if you are bringing your furry friends with you. The house has all the necessary amenities and is more than comfortable for your stay. Location is great as well- a short drive to the beach and a nice walk to the sound. We enjoyed walking our dogs along the sound every morning- it was beautiful.

Would Rent Again! Fenced in Yard!

I was more than satisfied with rental at the price offered. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I read in reviews to bring a babygate, so I did. I also thought ahead to bring a Keuring. I did not know we would not have trash bags or dishwasher machine detergent, so we went without those. The primary door is very hard to open, so I recommend replacing that doorknob. It was very comfortable, very quiet, felt very safe. The abundance of balconies was lovely. Convenience to the beach was great also. The host is lovely and very responsive. Even contacted me by text to offer me early access. Would rent again!

Very convenient

Overall, I think it was a great bargain and very convenient for what we came to do on the island. I would have liked if the TV and programming was more updated and if the outside shower and barbecues were working. The house was pretty clean - the sheets and towels were supplied was a real plus. It was nice to have direct communication with the owner, and that was very helpful when we arrived and that house lights were turned on. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We brought our two dogs who loved having the enclosed yard. There didn't seem to be any baby gates, so if you want to keep some areas closed off to pets (upstairs, front porch), you'll want to bring/rent those. We spent a lot of time on the screen porch and the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. We loved our walks to the sound and even braved crossing the bypass a few times by foot - definitely don't recommend with little ones or lots of beach stuff. Luckily, there is a public access with lots of parking just across the bypass. I really do wish OBX would improve the pedestrian experience along the bypass, as there is so much opportunity for things to be more walkable. But I digress... Overall would recommend!

Quiet Location Across From A Park

We stayed over Memorial Day and the following week. There was plenty of room in the house for the 3 of us and it was well supplied. There was a nice open park area and playground across a private street. We also walked a few blocks to a fishing pier. The screened in porch was great and we ate some of our meals there. We had to drive to the beach as it wasn’t close enough to walk to. We had a great first visit to the Outer Banks. Thank you Perry!

Another Great Getaway

We have stayed here several times. We love the location - quiet area and right across from a park where we walk our dog. The house is very nice and the owner (Perry) has done some nice updates to the house like new flooring on the main floor, redone the decking and stairs and fenced in the yard for dogs. Perry stopped by to see if everything was ok and we chatted for a while which was very nice. We are already looking forward to our next stay here in the fall.
