Enjoy a family vacation or quick getaway in this beautifully appointed home with unobstructed, majestic views of both the ocean and the sound (Stump Sound for those that like oysters). Upon stepping inside, you will immediately see the care that has gone into making this a perfect place for your stay. This spacious home is 3 stories, over 1800 sq. feet with 3 private bedrooms & a 4th open double bunk room, which can sleep up to 10 people. Perfect for a larger family or 2 smaller families. Total of 3 ½ baths plus an enclosed outdoor shower with dry dressing space. The first (lower) floor includes a beautiful Primary bedroom with King bed, an attached full bath and balcony overlooking the sound, and a 2nd bedroom with a Queen bed and attached bathroom. The second (middle) floor is an open concept living and kitchen area with a convenient half bath. Balcony opening off of the living room for a beautiful sound view and off the kitchen for a ocean view. Seating for dining is available at a counter height bar and large kitchen table. The kitchen is fully stocked for large meal prep, dishes & utensils. The third floor offers a Queen bed in one room and 2 sets of Bunk beds in an open room. This floor also has a shared large bath & balconies at each end with water views. Each bedroom has either a chest of drawers or dresser, mirrors, lamps and each room has a closet. New Smart TV with cable channels in the family living area and master bedroom and another TV elsewhere. New Air Condition/Heating installed Spring 2021. New flooring and freshly painted throughout. New stove/oven range in 2023. This home is one side of a Duplex. (The left unit facing the road.) Disclaimer - This home is 3 stories tall and there is not an elevator.
Six total balconies on both the front and back for enjoying the ocean breeze and the beautiful water views including the beautiful Topsail Island sunsets. Outdoors you will find seating on balconies, a gas grill, enclosed outdoor shower and parking for 3 vehicles (2 underneath and 1 in the driveway). The other unit of the Duplex will share the driveway so no more than 3 vehicles are permitted for this home and its occupants.
The walk to the beach takes approximately 2 minutes. Beach access is easy with a wonderful boardwalk/stairs and the beach is rarely crowded (no high rises nearby).
This home provides all the essential amenities such as Heat/Air Conditioning, Cable TV, hi-speed Wi-Fi, Smart TV & other flat screens, Washing Machine & Clothes Dryer, fully stocked kitchen, Dishwasher, Refrigerator w/ ice maker, Stove & Oven, Microwave, Coffee Pot and Keurig, Blender, Iron/Ironing Board, fire extinguisher, smoke detectors, outdoor shower and gas grill.
Motion activated lighting along the entry/exit staircase and underneath the home.
**Note: To keep rental costs down, this home does not provide bath towels however does provide the bed linens. Some household supplies may be available and a 'start your stay kit' will be provided, however will not last a full week with a full house of guests. Plan to bring all personal items.
Whatever beach items (chairs, toys, etc.) that are in the storage container underneath the house, you are welcome to use. Please return them where you found them when you leave.
Topsail Island is conveniently located approximately 40 minutes north of Wilmington NC which offers many popular restaurants and entertainment of any larger city. Wilmington has an airport with most major airlines’ service. Jacksonville NC also has a smaller commercial airport, which is approx. 30 minutes from this home. Topsail Island offers a quaint southern beach atmosphere with several popular local restaurants and breweries and outdoor rental equipment is readily available from various shops (including beach chairs, umbrellas, water toys, even coolers). From this home, you would be located an equal distance between Surf City and Sneads Ferry for shopping and additional restaurants. This home is 4.5 miles north of the new Surf City high-rise bridge, near mile marker 12. For reference, the entire island is 26 miles long.
Rentals during June, July and mid August are weekly rentals only, Saturday to Saturday. Other times of year are available with a 3-night minimum and flexible check-in and out and cleaning fee is reduced for shorter stays, so please inquire.
This is a Non-Smoking Home & No Pets are Allowed by renters. (Disclaimer: owners do have family pets and may have them in the home during the late Fall - early Spring season. Carpets are cleaned prior to Summer rental season. If however you or any others of your guests are allergic to animal hair, do not rent this home. We will not refund your stay or partial stay due to said allergic reactions.)
Check in time is 3:00 PM on Saturday afternoon and check out is at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning.
A refundable $500.00 deposit is required however is returned after 14 days - if all house keys, all TV remote controls are left behind and/or no other damage or theft has occurred which may not be covered by the insurance offered. A separate insurance must be purchased to cover larger damage to the property. That cost is $89.00 and will be a part of the payment process. That insurance is non-refundable.
We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover your investment in the case you must cancel, for whatever reason; including pending storms. We do not refund due to bad weather, unless there is a mandatory evacuation order.
