Great spot to access everything on main street by foot. Everything was clean. It is a multiple occupancy dwelling so we could hear others in the house but our space was secure.
Cute apartment/house in an IDEAL location. Bedrooms are cozy and comfy, the lounge-kitchen is small but well stocked. Fit the family nicely and would be completely perfect for a couple. Close to everything in the downtown zone - easy walk to Barter, restaurants galore, Girl and the Raven, and the Creeper trail.
We stayed a week. The place was comfortable, clean and great location off Main St. The reason I gave it a four star, kitchenette was stocked well but you have to wash your dishes in the bathroom sink. Also you could hear the neighbors because there is only a door that separates you from the apartment nextdoor. I think its a perfect place to stay for the weekend but a little inconvenient for a week.
This little apartment was so clean and roomy. The beds were comfy and the place was very clean! I liked how it was decorated with rugs and paintings. I liked that we could walk to restaurants and shops. What a great weekend! I would stay here again for my next adventure to Abingdon, Va. so much more personal than a hotel room!
We parked outside the door on Friday afternoon and didn't drive again until Sunday morning. So much beauty and history, all within walking distance. Barter Theatre is an absolute must! Very high quality productions.
Locals are super friendly to recommend good restaurants and anything else you are looking for. Small enough town that we didn't feel we missed out on anything. This Vrbo already feels like a second home.
Wonderful in every way. I think we will be back. Very close to downtown and restaurants, shops, and , theater. Parking worked out well and host even provided coffee maker and coffee. Mini fridge stayed stocked with provisions we brought. If there was anything negative it was an occasional noise from second apartment next door but, this was very small and infrequent. Overall a great stay. We gave it 9.9999999/10.
This apartment was clean, comfortable, convenient to Barter Theater and restaurants as well as a bike shop if a Creeper Trail ride is part of your plans. We had one problem that was taken care of and the owner treated us to a nice meal as a compensation. I would only make one suggestion. Most people travel with their personal items, but not with hand soap. It would be very nice to have hand soap available in the bathroom. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay!
Really love the location. The place was super cute, and incredibly convenient to all kinds of places downtown. The pictures in the listing show a kitchenette, but I didn’t realize until we arrived that the only running water would be the bathroom sink. I think it’s important to know that as a renter. It wasn’t a problem, but it was a surprise. Also, the building is split into two or more units, and it was possible to hear conversations in the other units.
Overall it was a lovely stay. Jeanne was very accommodating with all of our requests.
Great location for Abingdon activities and area hiking. On street parking was not an issue. Kitchenette worked well for bringing in breakfast and lunch to make on your own. A card table and chairs to fold up or use would be useful (I brought this having seen the pictures.) Easy walk to restaurants and theatre. Internet issues most of the time we were there. Cannot control your air temp if that is an issue for you. Was set at 67 during day and 70 at night while we were there.
Property management was quick to respond. The place was spotless and very well kept.
