This cozy cottage, separate from the main house invites you to come and get away. The cottage and the main house are on 2 acres of well maintained land. We have over 60 fruit trees, and a few chickens. Fenced in property with a gate and gate code keeps the place nice and private. We can accommodate up to 2 cars. The cottage is down a short path from the parking area. We are in a central location, close to shopping, the Placerville Fairgrounds, wineries, Apple Hill, and Skiing. Lots of things to do in downtown Placerville, great places to eat and be entertained. We love our fur baby and welcome your well behaved pup. "Lovely, just....lovely." beautiful property, beautiful cottage. Chuck and Kelli thought of everything! So much charm and warmth. The whole process from start to finish was effortless. I would have loved to have stayed longer, so I guess that means a return is in my future? Absolutely! Excellent hosts!
I stayed just for 1 night. Warm, cozy, cute, clean…the cottage has everything that I needed. Such thoughtful touches. It is a beautiful country property…impeccably manicured. I live in the country, I know the effort it would take to keep a property that beautiful. I appreciate that. It is perfect. Thank you.

Thank you Kelli and Chuck, this was a very lovely stay. The location, decor, property, and hospitality were amazing. You can tell a lot of love went into preparing this special space to make its guests feel comfortable and well cared for. Exceptional!!
Highly recommend!!
Well, atmospheric rivers were pounding California just north of us, but we were graced with cold air, a bit of daytime rain as we explored the Hard Apple Route. We ended with a stroll on Placerville's Main Street *The Hardware Store; *Fountain & Tallman Museum!!! Oh, and a Happy Hour at Poor Red's. Rain fell all night on the cozy cottage while we were snug in our bed.
It was all so special ~ thank you to the hosts!
Loved this Cottage it was amazing just as described. It is decorated so darn cute everything was perfect. Thanks for the snacks. The sheets were really soft and smelled amazing and yes, we will be coming back again too. I even feed the chickens which I never had so that was fun too. Sorry we didn't get to meet you but for sure next time. Great place to stay in Placerville for sure A+
Wonderful in all ways. Clean, with plenty of hot water, and so tastefully decorated! Kid size chairs on the deck are thoughtful, and they worked for me.
Will definitely recommend!
My wife and I loved staying at the cottage. It was very clean, cute, private, and comfortable. The AC worked great and the bed was comfy enough. Overall a fantastic stay at this cottage, if you’re in the area don’t hesitate to stay here!
We loved our stay at the cottage! The attention to detail in the decor was so nice. It was a great place to stay as we explored downtown placerville and apple hill.
Our stay was for a family event and this beautiful little cottage was perfect. Clean, convenient location, equipped with all the amenities. Beautiful property that is very well maintained. Would definitely stay again.
We were attending our grandsons wedding at
apple Hill and needed a location to spend the night after the wedding. Chuckkelli Cottage fit the bill. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The location was relatively close to hwy 50 in Placerville.

The cottage has so many personal touches. I would definitely recommend
I’m a mom of three kids, and told my husband that all I wanted for Mother’s Day was a night to myself, full of self care and good sleep. This cozy cottage was more than I ever expected. I loved the antiques incorporated into the decor and farmhouse feel. The bed was so comfortable and the outdoor environment was charming and inviting. The hostess was communicative and kind.

Clean and well manicured property. You can tell right away that somebody loves to host. Every small farmhouse detail including the WiFi password written on an adorable little chalkboard sets the mood. The stay was so incredible and comfort plus. Super comfortable bed had me sleeping on a cloud. Can’t say enough. So impressive.
The cottage and grounds were very nice, we were there there 5 nights and it would have been nice to have a TV in the cottage other then that it was great
This place hit all the spots. Had everything that we needed and more for a long weekend. So peaceful outside and the fireplace was set up for us to use outside. We loved feeding the chickens and being in nature especially in the morning enjoying our coffee.
Location was perfect for spending time in Apple Hill and gate entry was easy to use. We highly recommend this place to stay!
The property was a short distance from Apple hill. It was beautiful and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay. Also, it was very nice that they allow you to do a one night stay.. many others forced you to book two nights which we didn't need. Id highly recommend this property.
We loved this little cottage. We stayed for 3 nights because we went to our granddaughters wedding. I wasnt able to meet Kelli but Chuck was so nice. I had bought a pie but couldn’t cook it so he did it for me. He’s a keeper 😊
The cozy cottage was wonderful and the location is perfect for spending the day at Apple Hill. We would definitely recommend staying here!

We love this property and love sharing it with others. Chuck is in full time ministry at our church and I love running this vacation rental, coordinating weddings, work as a part time office manager at our church and do various crafts to sell during the Christmas season. We love our little town of Placerville and all the history it holds.
Why they chose this property
Come relax! This property is host to over 60 fruit trees. The main crop is Fuyu Persimmons, but also: Asian and Bartlett pears, apple, fig, peach, plum, pomegranate, grapes, walnut, apricot, and lime. We have a small garden in the summer time and in the winter, we take a break and let our bodies and the ground rest!
What makes this property unique
Our cottage is very private. We have 2 acres of well maintained lawns, orchard and unique trees. We have hosted a few weddings for our family. The weeping willow is a favorite as well as a 300 year old oak tree that has been wrapped in wisteria vines. There are several seating areas around the property for you to relax in and enjoy.
