And right outside, you'll have your very own hot tub overlooking the forest.

The floor plan is open to the loft and offers floor-to-ceiling windows that allow plenty of natural light and great views of the pond. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dining for 8 and additional bar seating for 4. There is also a Master King bedroom with a large walk-in closet and an adjoining bath with a walk-in shower only. The washer & dryer are also located on this level, along with a half bath. The large deck has two porch swings, patio furniture, a gas grill, and offers a beautiful view of the pond and a wonderful place to eat your meals.

In the upper loft area of the cabin, you will find two additional bedrooms. A private queen and a full in the open loft, each with large closets, and a shared full bath with a shower/tub combo. In the open area, which overlooks the living room, you will find a queen sofa sleeper, twin daybed, and a foosball table.

The lowest interior of the cabin is not accessible for guests. This area of the cabin can be rented by owners at any time.

Peaceful Getaway

“Peek A View” name definitely fits this property. Great place to stay! Ideal spot to get some relaxation and experience nature located in the “peaceful side of the smokies” and only 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge. The porches are a great place to start and end the day while overlooking the pond and viewing the wildlife from bears to pigs to chipmunks enjoying the mountain life. The size of “Peek A View” was perfect and the open floor plan with the loft areas provides plenty of living area. Will definitely book a stay at this location again!!

Cozy place but improvable

Wood cabin, place, kitchen. But wasn’t enough clean (restroom and grill) and some amenities weren’t available (jacuzzi hot tub).

Thanksgiving

This house great potential. Location is nice. But the house is outdated. Seems to have had the bare necessities done to make it rentable. Rented for my families Thanksgiving kitchen small appliances are out of date making it difficult to prepare dinner. Dishwasher didn’t work. And not being allowed to use bathtub in master bathroom was (per note posted above tub and water being shut off) was disappointing. I feel you should have access the all parts of the house if you rent the entire house. Also house has hand written notes/direction all over the house inside and out that were somewhat aggressive!

Comfortable secluded cabin

First, the cabin was hard to find in the dark— no lights or reflectors at the gate at least, so we passed it and ended up at a deadend. We had a very nice relaxing stay, the place us generally clean, appliances are new, beds are comfortable. The master bedroom bathroom has no door or division, therefore no privacy at all. Not my preference even though married for 27 years. The shower needs some updating. Kitchen appliances are new and spotless, but the coffemaker has problems with the drip. Wifi would be nice and cell signal is spotty. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Not Pleased

The jacuzzi tub that appears in the pictures was not available. The bedding is dingy and outdated. The stove kept giving an error code. The couch in the loft has stains all over it. The foosball table had one ball that was broken. Overall, we were not pleased with the cabin.

Pros and Cons of the Townsend

The views were amazing, nice and quiet is what we were looking for which it worked for us. No service, so you got the experience to get in touch with nature if your into that, but cannot get ahold of anyone which can be a concern. Hot tub was nice the jets could be upgraded, was disappointed the jacuzzi bathtub was in the pictures online but there was no accessing it which was a bummer because that was something I was looking forward to. Seen plenty bear families which made it exciting yet nervous because they almost came in the gate to the hottub when me and my spouse were in it ha. Would recommend to those who do not mind bears and not having service while staying there!

All 6 of our kids got a "hot tub bacterial rash" per doctors from unclean hot tub

My friend & I, along with our 6 kids, stayed at this property for Spring Break last week. Overall, the stay was ok. We loved the seclusion, the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Minor things that would have made it more enjoyable would have been WiFi availability, updated living room furniture & maybe even the option to rent pay per views or have a selection of DVD's on hand as the cable channel selection seemed to be the minimum...it would have been nice with such a large cabin, had we had a 2nd television, possible upstairs or in the master suite...a couple of larger issues we experienced were that the water would not come on in the garden tub in the master suite (which was a HUGE selling point for us as to why we went with this cabin)...the water pressure in the upstairs bathroom sink was almost nonexistent. However, the biggest issue we had was something we are still dealing with...all 6 of our children broke out in a rash during & in the few days after our vacation. All 6 have had to be seen by doctors & we were told that the rash is a "hot tub bacterial rash" from improper maintenance of the cleanliness of the hot tub. It has been an expensive lesson for us. Myself, nor my friend, ever got in the hot tub so neither of us have broken out. But this is a very serious issue & I wanted to make you, as the owners, aware. As I stated previously, we did have a nice time, the cabin is beautiful & we loved the open area upstairs for the kids...but the few issues are enough to make us not rent again unless they were handled.

It was amazing to disconnect

When we read the reviews re no wifi and one small TV, I was a bit concerned because our family has 2 tweens and 2 teens plus my mother-in-law who loves YouTube. Nevertheless, it was an awesome stay for thanksgiving! Disconnect and enjoy family time. It was a couple of nuances - the gravel driveway was hectic to get out of, especially when it rained; 1st bathroom shower could use some CLR on the glass; 2nd bathroom shower curtain was moldy; spider webs in the corners; and the bathroom rugs were old. Nothing major, just a few cosmetic things.

Nice location, Convenient to Pigeon Forge

There were a few things that made this property fall short. First, it is a lovely cabin nestled into the mountains. The area around it is beautiful. The cabin is generally will maintained. It is actually a cozy cabin. I was disappointed with the rate per night and the place did not have any internet. It's located in an area that does not get cell signal. The phones were useless to have our own hot spots work. There is only one small tv which we didn't use. TV in the master bedroom would be a must at this price. The hot tub was not turned on. It was cold. It was useless to us on our first night as it took many hours to hear up. It finally got up to useful temperature, but it was too late on Saturday night for us to use it. I paid $30 extra for this amenity which was wasted. The whirlpool tub in the photos in the master bath, is off limits. Making this an amenity in the pictures that you're not allowed to use. There are two bedrooms. The beds in the lift area are small. Two teens could not fit in one so they were forced to use the couch down stairs and take turns using the bed . The profile states it sleeps nine. Not comfortably. The driveway is a challenge for anyone in an automobile. It is about a 30 degree incline. You have to turn around, back up to the garage door and floor it to get the momentum to make the incline. My F250 crawled up without a problem. My Kia Mini Van struggled.

Loved this place! Very quiet. Would come back again. Only bad thing is you can hear everything from any room you are in. I could hear my son cough upstairs when I was in downstairs room.

A Disappointing Stay

We arrived at the property to find the exterior in disarray. There was garbage on the lower desk and the hot tub had a foot of water and bugs in it. Despite the listing claiming to have wi-fi there was no internet and 1 small tv for a house that “sleeps 9”. The jacuzzi tub listed as an amenity and shown in the photographs on VRBO was not working and the sharpie note posted above it stated “not an amenity available”. Every dish we selected to use was covered in grime and build up and the table was covered in what we hope was old food and something sticky all over it. The shower upstairs had no water pressure at all which left a cabin that sleeps 9 with one stand up shower. The mouse droppings on the up stairs bathroom cabinet was the final straw. I could have rented a cabin at half the price i paid for this one if I didn’t want the amenities that were listed and promised. I understand things happen. Despite reaching out to vacasa “the cabin owners” the moment we arrived and found such a mess all they could do was refund a minimal cleaning fee. The cabin was disappointing but the managements unwillingness to make things right was perhaps even more disappointing.

Worst experience ever

We finally got to our location by driving down further than where the GPS leads you . ( some random , empty lot ) very dusty , pollen everywhere. Everything is outdated . Newest qppliance would be the dishwasher . Pillows are a yellow/orange. Shower sprays everywhere but your head . Pollen was brushed off the hot tub cover just enough to see the faded directions . Sounds of mice or bats in the ceiling . Barely any towels or toiletries for a 3 day stay with 4 adults and 2 kids ! We were ready to RUN back to our hotel . Did not receive a welcome packet. And there is no service, wifi or landlines in case of emergency . Looked as though someone lives here and just leaves or lives downstairs when it is rented out .

Beautiful cabin.

Beautiful cabin in the woods tried grilling one night but attracted 4 bears which hung out in the deck for a while. Hit tub didn't have power and the upstairs shower didn't have a water knob so my kids had to use the downstairs shower. Other than that great cabin and quiet placement and upclose encounters with bears my kids loved it

The cabin is great but it’s also lacking

The actual cabin is wonderful, its in a great location, super comfortable and nice. However, it does have a lot of downfalls for the price. The hot tub was so dirty when we arrived, the water looked murky and oily, and that’s unacceptable as this is probably its most attractive quality. The kitchen had a coffee machine but no coffee. The main room has a jacuzzi (which appears on the photos) but you can’t actually use it. So… the cabin is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and it fits a lot of people. But for what you’re paying they should at the very least have a very clean hot tub.

Beautiful location

Mixed review of this property. Beautiful location and home. BIG roach problem in the kitchen. Jacuzzi water smelled HORRIBLE. Frustrating that garden tub (pictured in the listing) didn't work. The place was beautiful though. Would not recommend for those that would have difficulty getting out and raking the driveway.

Ok, but lacking

The house was clean and met our basic needs. BUT... There is zero WiFi or cell service. Which made us feel stranded and isolated in case of an emergency. The bears definitely made their presence know. We had a mama bear and 3 cubs hanging around all weekend - even coming up onto the porch several times. While they weren't aggressive, it made us more nervous about letting out kids play freely in the woods. And again, no contact with the outside world if there had been an emergency. The driveway is a huge concern! It is steep and gravel. There are all sorts of signs to the effect of "backing up and just flooring it" to make it out, and it still takes several attempts. My husband had to rake the ruts out of the driveway MANY times just so we could leave the house. Street parking wasn't an option. We had to buy (and left) many items for the kitchen/house. Trash bags, a lighter for the citronella candles, dish detergent (but the dishwasher is broken!!), paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. There wasn't a notebook or info anywhere about basic house rules/policies/area info. What time was checkout? What did we do at checkout? Trash collection day? (Or outdoor bear-proof trash can was overflowing!) Closest grocery store? (couldn't research this on our phone) Nearby attractions?

Need to make more enjoyable!

This cabin wasn’t all bad but it definitely wasn’t all good either no WiFi one little tv in the living room only. You would have to be writing a book for cabin cuz it’s very boring and very far up in the woods. The owners really need to make this more enjoyable like maybe a pool table instead of foosball table thumbs down to this cabin. Only enjoyable part is the lake view.
