Great Beach Getaway

Immaculate, cozy and quiet. The cottages have everything that you need for your stay. We would highly recommend these cottages to anyone coming to Ventura. Beautifully decorated and easy communications with owner. Great location for everything. Dining, (Spencer Makenzie's for tacos, Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar) the beach and downtown is nearby. Best location that we have ever stayed. We hope to return soon.

The Perfect Getaway

Everything about this cottage caters to comfort and relaxation. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and could not have been happier with the beautiful (and spotless!) rooms, high-quality appliances (dishwasher & washing machine/dryer), outdoor patio and easy parking. Some of our favorite details were the super soft bedsheets (we're ordering them for our house - that's how good they are), the deep bathtub, the fully-stocked Nespresso bar and the rocking chairs on the front porch. The cottage is also very centrally located, so it only took at a few minutes to get anywhere in Ventura (Main St, the pier, the grocery store, etc). There are also several fantastic restaurants only minutes away (Cafe Nouveau, Paradise Pantry and Rumfish were our favorites). We cannot wait to stay here again, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an escape that's the perfect mix of charm and tranquility.

We live and play in Ventura! We moved here about 9 years ago when our kids were grown and flew the coop. Our hobbies include most things outdoors and we have had a great time creating these spaces for friends & family to share. We both grew up in Southern California and love what Ventura has to offer. It is a relaxed, fun place to create life-long memories. We have hosted over 20 friends and family in the cottages and now it's time to share with others. We hope you come for a visit soon!

Why they chose this property

It has been my dream for years to restore an old house. Prior to moving to Ventura, we had been looking for a small house to renovate. After 6 years of searching, I drove by the cottages at Pacific and Thompson and fell in love. The cottages were built in 1927 and needed a lot of love. Although my husband is a commercial contractor, and we own a construction company, I still had no idea what it would really take to restore the cottages, and honor the time period, while bringing every inch of them up to date. It was a labor of love and we are so pleased to share our cottages with those who appreciate a truly comfortable place to be.

What makes this property unique

The Cottages at Ventura are truly special because you have two completely separate cottages next door to each other in a great mid--town location. You can walk to almost anywhere you would want to go in Ventura and you are a trolley ride away from the Ventura Harbor. The property is set up for relaxation and comfort. For us, comfort is key and amenities are not only an added bonus.... they are a must!
Enjoy a whole house water filtration system, hot and cold reverse osmosis system, beach cruisers, chairs, towels etc.! LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!!
