The newly renovated, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath beach cottage will have you hooked from the second you step inside.

The home offers four beautifully decorated bedrooms including one king bed, two queen beds, and two twin beds. The open grey and white floor plan allows guests to lounge in one of two spacious living rooms. Choose the upstairs lounge, watching the 50” screen tv, while others are in the fully equipped kitchen or dining area. Choose the second living area downstairs, with another 50” and Netflix, as others are lounging in the screened in porch just off the pool deck.

There’s no need to bring a lot with you, we have everything you could think of! The beds are fully made up with extra soft linens and plush towels are provided. Enjoy fresh hand soaps and shampoos, and when you’re finished, use one of our complimentary hair dryers. Our large washer and dryer is fully equipped with soaps and dryer sheets.

This is Hilton Head, and you know the real magic happens once you step outside! No matter how you choose to relax, we’ve got just the thing for you! Step into the enclosed, spacious backyard for a dip in your private *heated pool the largest on North Forrest Beach sporting its own tanning ledge built in! Naturally, Hilton Head didn’t get voted #1 Best Island in the US or #2 Island in the World by Conde Nast for OUR pool, but a short walk to the beach is all the proof you’ll need. Just 50 steps through your own secluded beach access to where the dunes open to the possibilities of sandcastles and long sunset walks.


When you’re in the mood for adventure and investigating, head out from our quiet neighborhood just down the bike path to our popular Coligny shopping area. Here you’ll find a theater, several of the 250 renowned restaurants on the island, scattered among several spas and boutiques the island has become famous for.

For an educational experience, head over to the Coastal Discovery Museum just a short distance down our 12-mile island. Here you’ll learn why, on Hilton Head Island, we are passionate about our turtles, learn some interesting facts and even more about the turtle nests we’ve adopted each season.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

We were a group of 5 adults and 1 toddler, and this was the perfect spot for us. The pool, outdoor space, and two living areas made it a great place to relax and hang out at the house, and the beach was only a couple minutes walk. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive, and we would definitely stay here again or recommend for others.

Perfect Cottage

This beach cottage is amazing! Perfect location with just a short walk up a path to the beach and close proximity to the shopping at Coligny Plaza. The pool was great for relaxing in the late afternoon after a day at the beach. The cottage itself was so nicely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. Susan was a top notch host. Excellent communication!

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage is well stocked and conveniently located to the beach! We enjoyed the sitting on the front deck for our morning coffee and the spaciousness of the living areas! Would love to stay again!

I can't say enough nice things about this house. It is beautifully decorated and maintained. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking for a family. We absolutely loved the pool! A very easy and short walk to the beach. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

HHI 2023

We had an amazing experience booking Rusty and Susan’s vacation property. The pool was a godsend in the Aug heart and humidity. The beach was very close, the path leading down was easy to walk. Communication with Fred, the property manager, was quick. He solved any and all issues immediately. Susan sent a lovely cheese and fruit board during our stay. She also booked us a complimentary dolphin cruise. I can’t thank them enough for sharing their beautiful property with our family. We definitely made memories that’ll last a lifetime!!

The cottage was OUTSTANDING!!! It was beautifully decorated snd the beds were perfect. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook family meals. We really enjoyed the pool. This will be our go to vacation spot when visiting HHI.

The Total Package

You can't go wrong staying at 96N! The house was immaculate upon check-in and was fully stocked with everything you could possibly want for a week at the beach. Location is absolutely perfect: far enough away from public beach access points so you have plenty of space on the beach, but close enough for short bike rides to Coligny Park and plenty of activities. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space to accommodate our party of six adults and one child. While the house itself is reason enough to stay here, the property owners truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Susan provided a wealth of information and recommendations for things to do on HHI and always replied to messages instantly with helpful and informative answers to anything you could ask. It is clear that the owners take great pride and find joy in ensuring you create lasting memories while staying at their home. Next time we're in Hilton Head, we know where we'll be looking to stay!

Wonderful Hilton Head Cottage

This cottage was perfect for my sister and I’s families. The decor was beautiful. The home was clean and had extra amenities to use such as a beach wagon, beach towels, bocce ball, outdoor jenga, gas grill, etc. And, the pool was the perfect size! Would highly recommend this cottage. It was the perfect space for four adults and 4 teenagers!

Perfect Family Beach Trip

This property fully surpassed our expectations. Just steps to the beach and the private pool was so much fun for our kids. Cozy beds, seating and plenty of amenities that were taken care of just so you could be there to simply enjoy yourself and family. We plan to return next year. Property manager and owner were quick to answer any questions and extremely kind. A must stay place!!!

Wonderful memories

Beach'n is a delightful cottage. It was perfect for our family of 7. It is literally just steps from the beach and perfectly situated for visits to Coligny Plaza and Shelter Cove. All of the amenities in the listing were exactly as stated. Susan was the perfect host answering questions about the house and advising on reservations, excursions and dining. We hope to return to this property. Although our family is growing so we may have to look at 23 Holloman.

Great Beach House

This house is the perfect house for a week at the beach. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure your stay is great! The house is as described, clean and in a great location. About a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 3 minute drive to a ton of restaurants.

Wonderful vacation! Perfect location.

Everything was wonderful about our stay- from the attentiveness of the property owner, to the location and proximity to the beach, and the house itself! As a family with two very young kids, it was so important to us to have an easy walk to the beach, and have a nice pool we could enjoy while they were napping. The house was exactly like the photos. Susan was accessible to help with anything when we arrived. The day after we checked out I got a message from her that their cleaning crew found my Apple Watch left behind. I honestly had no clue I had left it, and it had a very expensive watch band on it. I was so grateful for their honestly, and they shipped it back to me within a few days. Highly recommend!

Very Responsive, Great Location

Susan was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the stay. The home is an easy bike ride to "town" and the beach is only steps away. When not at the beach the pool and deck area was great for relaxing. We greatly enjoyed our time there.

Perfect Beach Week!

We had the best time at 96N, the house was perfect for our group. Very easy short walk to the beach for my 2 yr old who also loved the pool! The house has absolutely everything you would need. The furnishings/decor were beautiful but also very comfortable. Susan and the ResHH team were a pleasure to work with and gave us lots of excellent recommendations. Would love to stay again!

Close Beach access good for little ones

We are a family with 4 small children and having the beach close to the house was great. Kids can get fussy so its nice to be able to run back easily to the house or even just cool off in the pool which the kids loved. The house itself is very nice and We all enjoyed the lovely beachy decor. Would def. Book again.

WORST RENTAL PROPERTY/OWNER EVER!!

There was miscommunication with the owner regarding the number of people staying with us on our vacation. My parents backed out due to health issues. So with us paying 14k for two weeks we figured we could invite other family members. We had 8 people sleeping in the house that sleeps 8. The owner found out we had visitors at the house staying on the other side of the island and that my parents never came with us. We were told to get the occupancy to 4 adults 2 children, like our original agreement. We complied immediately. Our friends who had a two bedroom hotel room gave it to my brother-in-law and his family who were kicked out of our rental. Our friends stayed with us. They had to switch places to get our occupancy back to the way the owner wanted. The property manager started stalking the property. Not believing we had only 6 people in the house. Showing up, multiple days in a row, sitting in front of the house.

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time making Hilton Head memories at this property! Everything was as stated - beautiful home with many amenities. Was awesome to have so many kitchen utensils and beach supplies available. Hosts were easy to contact and extremely helpful, providing tips for our vacation along with restaurant, grocery and attraction suggestions. Would definitely rent from them again!!

Family Fun at HHI

We had a great time. Nice location and amenities. We enjoyed being close to everything: beach, pool, restaurants, and golf. Shower handle broke while we were there but we worked around and property manager was responsive. Upstairs bedrooms need ceiling fans.

Our family fell in love with Hilton Head years ago. Raised in the Northern areas of Cape Cod and the New Jersey shoreline, the SC coastal area didnt take long to want me to share those same childhood memories with our children and soon, ResHH a collaboration of everyone's initials was born. We opened our homes to families hoping to help them fall in love with the island and build family memories. Over the years as we add new spots, our rental families have come to know and appreciate each of our locations and often even become part of the process! We strive as a family to make ResHH more about treating our renters as if they are staying at their own family location. Because everyone is better "connected"!

Why they chose this property

96 North Forest is a sentimental family favorite. Its soothing tones inside allow you to relax and just decompress from the moment you walk in. Located at the end of the main North Forest Drive it offers a quieter retreat, but is just close enough to Coligny that you don't miss out on the main downtown of the island for shopping & dining. Affectionately called the "cottage", this home allows smaller families & groups to relax yet still be able to have quiet time in the dual Livingroom's, closed in porch or front patio.

What makes this property unique

One of the most unique features of this home has to be the pool. When we reconstructed the back yard area, we thought of our families. This semi enclosed area has lush lawn area, outdoor grill & dining, tons of lounge chairs and of course that pool.
Often noted as one of the largest on North Forrest, we find the entire back yard just a family oasis that takes you back to what's important - spending time building memories away from it all!
