Welcome to Villa #1 Sailfish, an adorable two-bedroom and two-bath poolside villa. Island West Resort is a beautiful resort with unique villas located two minutes from the Gulf of Mexico with a shared pool and BBQ grills. It boasts comfy outdoor couches and lounge chairs surrounded by tropical landscaping.

As you walk in, you’ll be welcomed into a lovely living space with a plush sofa that can also convert into a sleeper sofa, a flatscreen TV, and sliding glass doors that open to the large, shared pool deck bringing in warm bright natural light. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is equipped with cooking essentials, including pots, pans, and utensils and there is a chic kitchen table that seats four.

The primary bedroom has vibrant beach décor that is sure to put a smile on your face and this room features an ensuite bathroom with an updated walk-in shower and a double vanity. The guest bedroom has crisp linens, storage space, and a TV. A shower and tub combination is in the second bathroom and there is a washer and dryer in the hallway available for guest use.

Fall vacation

The unit we stayed at was perfect for our little family of 3. The walk to the beach was only about 2-3 mins. The only thing that would have been better was if the unit had extra chairs or even offered an umbrella. The pool would have been better if it was cleaned daily rather than just 2 days a week. We did someone come by but they only tested the water, they did not clean it. My spouse cleaned it everyday when we used it. There was plenty of room outside and enough lounge chairs. Overall we would definitely stay here again. The unit was close to a grocery store. We enjoyed driving around the island and will be back next year.

Adorable Cottage

The management company was outstanding and so accommodating. We stayed in cottage 1 and it was amazing! Beautiful decor and lots of space and very clean. The pool was great and we loved being so close to the beach. Can’t wait to go back!

Not enough comfortable furniture

Why would a vacation rental have a master bedroom bigger than the living/dining area? This was most definitely not big enough for 6 people. Yes it could sleep 6 but there was not room for 6 in the kitchen/living/dining area. We would not use this again.

The property lived up to the photos and description. Everything was clean, well maintained and modern. Plenty of room for a family of 5. High ceilings and bright interior. Even though there were a couple of other units sharing the pool, it really felt like our own private oasis. The pool is well hidden from the roads and very relaxing. We took advantage of the bar be que and outdoor dining table. There was easy access to the beach, which was just steps away and not crowded where we were. Plus we didn't have to worry about parking. There is a public access beach a few hundred yards up the beach with store, restaurant and outdoor bar. An easy walk to there as well. Plenty of other restaurants within walking distance and other amenities like groceries, coffee and beach stores. Plenty of other small, local stores and restaurants to explore at the north and south ends of the island. Five stars, five thumbs up. We'll definitely be returning to this location!

Wonderful location, short walk to the beach. The shared patio/pool area was very nice. Just wish there was a pantry or shelves for food in the kitchen, otherwise ideal setup for our family of 4!

Great stay!

This property was great overall and we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, it was a very close walk to the beach, the pool area was nice and relaxing and the management company was prompt about bringing batteries for the remotes. The only downsides were the lack of space for non -refrigerated food in the kitchen (a shelf or something would help) and the mattress in the 2nd bedroom on the bottom bunk sunk in a lot/wasn't firm. Overall we had a great stay and would return. thanks!

Very good property. Clean with washer dryer inside, pots and pans, grill out by the pool. 2 mins from the beach. Nice beds and bathrooms. Loved it!

Loved it!

This is a beautiful little home in an incredible location. The home was very tastefully decorated and the pool area was just lovely. The kitchen isn't overly functional being so small but honestly if it was just my husband and I and not with our 3 kiddos, we probably wouldn't have noticed as much. Would love to come back!

Great family spot and perfectly located close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The pool was a delight and there is everything you need from beach and pool toys to bbq. What fun!!! Love this place!

The pool area and common yard area was great and the landscaping was well manicured. The place was perfect for what we needed. The only complaint we had was the couch was very old and dingy and not the cleanest looking couch.

Great Experience

We had a great experience with this property. The only complaint would be if you’re in the master bathroom you can see out the front door window. Kinda weird. But other than that we loved the property especially the heated pool!

Great long weekend

We stayed here for a long weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. We walked to the beach with ease and walked to the trolley stop not too far away to save us from having to drive. We will be back here for sure.

Gorgeous beach, good location, Cute but small lodging

The apartment was very cute and very small. It does look like the pictures. However, we did not realize how small the living area would be. The kitchen could barely seat four people (we were five-two kids). I have no idea how 8 people could stay here. The kitchen was ill equipped. The building you see in the photos is divided into two apartments. The pool was nice but a little too green. (repairs were suppose to happen but did not before we left). The location is truly so close to the beach. The beach is magnificent. I only wished we could have seen the beach from our location.
