Little Moose Lodge (Tiny House) Mohawk River waterfront property
Our Moose Lodge is a four season rustic cabin (tiny house) located on our Mohawk River waterfront property. This cozy warm cabin was built using on site and local timber as well as reclaimed lumber. Includes full kitchen, full bath and loft with two full beds. First floor has a small couch that can be pulled out to accommodate more guests if needed. Smart TV sits above the large gas fireplace. Internet included as well as local channels. Well behaved pets allowed. Although most of the flooring is re purposed 1860's planking, some is from the historical Shoemaker Tavern known for its visit by George Washington during his tour of the Mohawk Valley in 1783. Bring your snowshoes or skis and by all means bring your snowmobile as we are located on the NY State trail system. During the summer months you can bring your canoe, kayak or fishing boat as we are right next to the beautiful Saint Johnsville Marina.

The cabin is adorable and clean! Quiet, well kept area. The owner was friendly and reached out to us prior to our stay. We are going to come back again and have recommended Little Moose to our friends and family. Wonderful experience!
We’ve been stopping here each year on our way to an Adirondack hiking trip. This place has everything we need and we always enjoy our stay. Highly recommended.
Every provision you could think of is provided. The owner is very responsive to whatever you need. This is our third time staying in the different lodging available and is now our go to place when up that way. It’s quiet and peaceful even with the lull of the occasional train in the background passing.
Just a nice relaxing place to just “be”.
Love coming here!
Awesome place! Loved the concept of a little log cabin with restored RR cabooses together in a park along the river.
Great use of reclaimed materials in the floors, shower, and other places.
Hosts recommended a wonderful family owned Italian restaurant just down the road for dinner. Best bread for sandwich roles I've ever tasted!
To bad I won't be back this way again, but if I were, I'd definitely stay there again!
The host was very helpful about removing potential allergens from the space before I arrived. I appreciated his care and consideration. The spot is at a beautiful location. Lots of open grassy space along a river. There is a train that goes by regularly however it didn’t bother me.
Cute. Small. Kitchen well-equipped, including Keureg with some pods provided for coffee & tea, sweetener & powdered cream (morning coffee info is important to me!). Near Empire State Trail, which was perfect because I was biking in and out from the trail. Host very accessible. Location appears rural, but there are active train tracks very nearby, so it can get noisy, but it settles a bit at night.
I was confused because in the listing it says sleeps 4, and in the photos the upstairs beds looked like twin size beds & the love seat appears to be in a different room than the full sized bed, so I thought there would be a bedroom downstairs, but there is not: upstairs beds are both full size. I did not check to see if love seat converts to a bed. Made no difference to me since I was traveling solo. I would stay here again solo. Would stay with one other person if I really loved them (it's small!).
I stayed here for a one night and it was absolutely perfect. We woke up early and read books on the small front porch while watching a chicken run around the lawn. A lovely spot to stay!
Our stay was so restful and peaceful. We were in the area to reconnect with cousins and this tiny house was the perfect place to return to at day’s end. A great place for our dog too. We also appreciated Chris allowing us a late check out.
