Only a handful of Grand Caribbean units have an ocean view this good!

Imagine yourself taking in the ocean breeze at a bar height table and chairs on the balcony while staring out at the water. As you take a sip of your beverage and the sun starts to set, you can feel the soft sounds of crashing waves melting away your stress. You start to relax and adjust to ‘island time’, while pondering the most pressing decision facing you for tomorrow, “Do I want to lay by the pool or feel the sand between my toes…or both?”, followed by your next thought “Why did I wait so long to do to this?”.

Welcome to The Salty Dawg.

This third floor condo has a larger bedroom (with a very comfortable King size bed) and balcony than neighboring units and is the PERFECT getaway spot for two adults with up to two children. From the oversized balcony, you have a direct view of the pool, hot tub, grilling area, picnic area and a fantastic view of the Ocean (be aware that roughly 80% of units in Grand Caribbean do NOT have an ocean view). If you insist on clean, professionally decorated, luxurious accommodations for your family, then you want to reserve this amazing vacation home now, before your dates are gone. This is NOT a rundown, tired, "rental unit"! The Salty Dawg at Grand Caribbean is completely remodeled, constantly upgraded and extremely well maintained. This as a first class beach getaway.

The condo has a King Bed in the bedroom and two, built in bunk beds in the main hall. The kitchen has been completely renovated with new flooring, cabinets, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and tile backsplash. The Bathroom has been remodeled as well with tall wainscotting, a new spacious vanity with Carrera marble countertop and undermount sink and a giant "porthole" mirror. This unit also includes all of the creature comforts you should expect during your vacation: a private, high speed WiFi network, NetCom TV at both TVs (providing DirectTV service and an extensive digital library of FREE movies), a Vizio 43 inch Full-Array LED smart HDTV in the bedroom, a matching Vizio 55 inch, smart HDTV and a Blu-Ray DVD player in the Family Room (both smart TVs also provide streaming access to popular services such as Netflix, HULU, and Amazon Prime).

The property boasts a wonderful swimming pool (heated in the winter months) and a hot tub as well as a community grill area with four charcoal grills and four picnic tables. The entire complex is fenced and gated to limit access to guests and owners only. Grand Caribbean has a private gated walkway to and from the beach access. After a sunny day relaxing by the sea, there is an outdoor shower and hose provided, alongside the walkway, to rinse the salt and sand from your beach gear and yourself.

This is a non-smoking unit and, while we love our pets too, no pets are allowed in any of the vacation rental units in Grand Caribbean.

Perfect Condo

We loved staying at your condo. It was clean, decorated nicely. We enjoyed the oversized balcony and loved that we could hear the waves and not only see them. It was so beneficial to have the W/D. I used that quite a bit for our beach towels and such. The pool was amazing as well. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Perdido Key, but not in July again, too many Jelly fish, lol.

The rental was very clean and exactly as pictured. We had an issue with the keypad late at night, and Brent was very responsive and helpful. The location is perfect. Would definitely book again!!

Great Trip

We had a great trip. Condo was exceptionally clean and convenient to stores and restaurants. My only complaint was our beach access was at a public beach and the holiday weekend was extremely crowded. Brent helped us navigate the Florida laws for private/public beach areas and after that we had no issues!!

Although not directly on the beach we still had a view of the ocean and could see the daily beach flag. Not being directly on the beach made it quiet and easy to relax. Our condo was just as discribed. We would definitely stay again!

Great beach trip

This property is very clean and efficient, with beautiful upgraded details and a nice view off the large patio of the pool and even the ocean in the distance. Beach chairs and towels were provided. Very limited public beach area right off the condo but we easily walked further down the beach for more space to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Owner had great communication with instant response to our check in question. It was a great place to relax for a few days.

The Salty Dawg is a great place to stay! It is very clean! THIS IS OUR 2nd TIME STAYING HERE! The description is very accurate! It’s in a great location and the pool and hot tub really are an added bonus! This unit is one of the best on the property. If this unit is available for your dates, don't look and further. Family Vacation

Great location. Close to restaurants and grocery stores as well as Orange Beach. Easy walk to the beach and complex pool was never crowded and had a covered area for hot days. Condo was extremely clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Lots of towels and beach supplies available on the deck (e.g., beach chairs, sand toys, boogie board, etc.). We had a slight hiccup checking in as the codes to the complex gate had recently changed but owner was very responsive so we were able to get in quickly. Public beach is limited due to private beach marked off by beachside condos but we just got there early to set up so we were able to make it work.

Great vacation!

Beautiful condo! Modern decor and everything we needed was included. We utilized the grills and picnic tables. The condo is in a very convenient location, short walk to beach on private walkway. The pool and hot tub were wonderful relaxation after the day at the beach. Our 3rd floor balcony had great view and was very spacious. The Salty Dawg was everything we hoped for and more! Brent was amazing to work with - we had a payment issue with HomeAway and he worked with us, making sure we didn’t miss out on our vacation. Hope to return next year.

Very clean

The property was just as listed. Very clean condo (with the exception of the coffee pot which looked like the inside had not been cleaned in a while) with a view of the pool and ocean. Perfect size for a family of 4. Easy check-in/out. Short walk to the beach. Only complaint is the bright light outside the bedroom window which made it difficult to sleep. We ended our stay a day early because we weren’t able to sleep well due to the brightness of the bedroom.

Wonderful Stay

We’ve stayed in quite a few different units at Grand Caribbean West, and this was our favorite! Smart Tvs in the livingroom and bedroom a huge bonus when staying with toddlers. Had everything we could have needed. Checking in was AMAZING! So simple! No need to drive extra time to find a rental agency for keys and then no need to keep up with a key during our stay!! My only complaint is the bedroom was very bright at night because of the lighted outdoor walkway. Night shades or curtains would be a great addition. We will stay here again.

Beach trip 2022

Our stay was great! Condo was clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The pool area was great . Short walk to beach . We had a excellent time and would recommend this condo to any age group! Our balcony had a great view of the water and even though your not right on the beach you can hear the waves coming in. A bonus for us was that while sitting on the balcony the Blue Angel’s flew down the beach and we could see them up close! It was great!

Mini vacay

Property was as described. Easy location to get into. Elevator access. Our unit was perfect for a family of four. Kitchen equipped with nearly all you need to cook. Also very nicely renovated. Bathroom was nice as well. Master bedroom was spacious and beds were all comfortable including the bunks. The pools were clean and the access to the beach is easily walkable even with smaller children. There’s an ice station literally down the street if needed and a Publix grocery not far either. Thank you we enjoyed our stay!
