Spacious Well Kept Masion, Great Views

Traveled a family of 10 adults and 5 children and the Cabin was very spacious accommodating all of us with great comfort. The house is well kept with all the ammenitities to make the stay pleasent and comfortable. The rental agreement and accessibility to the house was clear from the beginning. Less than 5 minute drive to Beech Mountain resort made our sky trip all the better. Good

The house with its seven bedrooms is very large and comfortable With an unbelievable Mountain View. We throughly enjoyed spending five nights in the house. One issue that needs to be addressed is hot water for the two upstairs showers. The water for the sinks is hot... but the water is cold or very limited hot water for showers. Cold showers in the winter is not very comfortable. There might be a roof leak as we observed a wet spot on the floor toward the upper left side of the house... in the hallway area..., maybe from the roof snow melting? Overall, a very nice and comfortable house that the entire Family enjoyed.

Disappointing experience

this is the second time we've utilized this property. I doubt their will be a 3rd. 1st) 2 hours before arrival I was informed that the oven didn't work. We had purchased a $200 dollar roast to cook for our party as well as many other meals the oven would be needed for. His inconvenience! 2nd) the alluring sauna which had been a big hit on our previous trip to the property was inoperable. 3rd) patio sliding doors from the dining room to the deck were in disrepair and very difficult to open or close. 4th) multiple fireplaces were flagged "do not use" with temperatures in the 30s and bring in a cabin in the mountains a fire was a very desirable amenity. For the rates and fees associated with this property I expected much more. Very unfortunate!

Beech Mountain Trip

Everything was great with the house except the oven. Jason came and supposedly fixed it but we could only get it to warm up on Broil. Everything else was fantastic.

Mansion in the Sky

The house is beautiful and a design that matches its surroundings. Amazing space inside and out. The porches provide a 180 degree view of the spectacular mountains. Sun set and sun rise from the porch. You will not be disappointed more like wowed.

Awesome mountain top home!

We can not say enough about this place. The views are superb, the kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of toys and even high chairs. The table in the kitchen was able to seat all 16 of us. The desks are massive and the kids had fun running and crawling around there. Also the picnic table on the deck was a favorite pace to eat and hang out. The views are awesome from four of the bedrooms and the living areas. Our group used the sauna every day and loved it. The drive to the home was not difficult and the walks around the location were wonderful. The only thing we would suggest is having an extra fridge/freezer for larger groups staying on the home.

The home could have been a little cleaner, I wiped down several tables and cleaned all the big windows from fingerprints, The big kitchen trash can had food, minipad, etc at the bottom (in between the bag and the can) very nasty, * A snow shovel would have been helpful

Mansion In The Sky

This cabin has is all!! Our family enjoyed 5 days of comfort here.. It has every amenity you want or need right down to the wonderful copper soaking tub, heated bathroom tile floors and towel warmers and huge sauna.. Beds are super comfy and living room, game room, sauna room all have plenty of seating to accommodate our large family. All of the wrap around porches allow beautiful views of the mountain's grandeur. If you are looking for a great home away from home for your family vacation needs my family and I highly recommend Mansion In The Sky...closest thing to heaven!

great property with a few setbacks. limited privacy in bedrooms that have no solid wall at the ceiling level. e mail from VRBO before arrival is incorrect.....put in code...... STAR button not correct next step....so we got off a rough start since the first guests were my 90 plus in -laws in a deluge of rain. The house WATER did not come on , as it is electrically tied to coming through the front door. All this info. needs to be correct on the pre arrival info. On another note, the cleaning crew left an envelope for a tip .....but after the included $450 for cleaning fee, there was stale dried urine on the tile floor and possibly on the side paneling. I found this from the odor before we opened the windoow. Hardwood floors need a good cleaning. All that said, our family time we spend was excellent. I give these comments to help you in a possitive way. I used to have a rental home in Blowing Rock. Call me if you have a questions. Anna Chambers 704 829 9248
