RiverWalk ~ A Home for large Families ~ A short walk to the water !

The Riverwalk Cottage offers an Adorable, but Spacious floor plan sleeping up to 6 guests! We are Family Friendly, Pet Friendly and located in a Quiet and Relaxed Water Access Community within walking distance to a small beach area for relaxing and enjoying collecting driftwood and sea glass. The Main Public Beach is a 5 minute golf cart ride or car ride. This location is great for walking pets and riding your bike!

The home provides a spacious layout with 4 bedrooms , Master provides Queen Bed, Second bedroom provides a Queen with a separate single, Third provides a Queen and Forth provides a Twin. All that include linens with a Futon in the lower Family Room, 2 Full Baths that include a hall bath and private master bath all will include linens.

The Living space provides a Living Room area with electric fireplace, Family Room is on the lower level that provides TV area and Futon.

The Kitchen is equipped for all your dishware, glassware, a few pantry items, two coffee pot styles for the easy cups to the filter pots ! We have the convenience of glass cook top stove, toaster over, griddles and dishwasher for easy clean up!

You will enjoy the homes Porch areas, we offer two in this home ! The front enclosed sunroom will provide access to the enclosed fenced yard and the back screened porch is where you will have access to the Fire Pit, Charcoal grill, Hot Tub and enjoy games and meals at the outdoor table areas.

The Town Of Colonial Beach offers many amenities that include dining, Public Beach Swimming, fishing, bird watching, collecting driftwood, shopping and beaching all day! Visit us on Colonial Beach VA attractions to read the article of Colonial Beach Voted the Best Place to Live! We are a golf cart Community where rentals are available, Kayaking rentals are also available. Bring your Beach Toys, we provide a few beach chairs, books and games!

Gem at Colonial Beach

This property was so clean and inviting! We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time! Great walks along the Potomac treasure hunting for river glass and nights in the hot tub!! We highly recommend this place and will return there to stay again!

Spacious home with hot tub!

We really enjoyed this vacation home. Plenty of space to spread out. We loved the screened porch in the back and had dinner there every night! My children really liked the hot tub. The house is very close to everything that Colonial Beach offers. I really appreciate how dog friendly the house was. Would stay here again!

Weekend getaway

Last minute we decided to getaway for the weekend. This place was available and did not disappoint!! It is in a great location. You get a water view from the front porch. Fenced in backyard for the dog. Very clean and has everything you will need. We spent the day on the beach. Found a few good spots to eat. Then relaxed in the hot tub. Hopefully we can return in the future.

Cozy, spacious, great location

We were really pleased with RiverWalk Cottage. It is surprisingly spacious, beautiful and cozy. The house is beautifully decorated and while it has some modern touches, it also reminded us of visiting grandma's house (in a great way). The hot tub was nice and the backyard with the fire pit was truly a relaxing and fun experience. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked! I would strongly recommend this property. The proximity to the beach and town center was great too. Close access to restaurants and supermarket.

A nice getaway to ring in the New Year

We stayed at this property with friends over the New Year’s weekend - it was a very comfortable amount of space and the hot tub and fire pit were great. There is a grocery store very nearby, and we were able to get firewood from the nearby hardware store. The stove was a little tricky and parts of the house could get pretty cold, but we adjusted quickly. Thank you!

Convenient, quiet and beautiful river stay!

We usually go to Rehoboth Beach, but wanted to try something more convenient, with less traffic. Colonial Beach fit the bill. This house is a short walk to great river views. The downtown is easily accessible--bike, golf cart or walk. We had a few great meals there--try Densons! We took a day trip to Fredericksburg and had fun renting golf carts in town for a day. This house was particularly nice for a family gathering because teens could be in the side room/family room with a big screen tv (and the door closed) and adults could be in the living room. The hot tub was also a nice addition. Clean and comfortable. We locked ourselves out once and property manager met us in 10 mins.

Just what we needed

This was our family's first VRBO experience and it was great. The house was just as advertised at a reasonable rate. The internet access was great...240Mbps download and 20Mbps upload via the WIFI. We were able to have four laptops, Nintendo switch, Roku, and phones connected with no problems at all for the whole visit. The walk to the main beach is a little less than a mile, so we used the car. During the week there was plenty of free parking and we had fun swimming in the Potomac. Overall, it was a great experience. There was a book on the history of Colonial Beach left on the main room table that was very interesting. It is nice to vacation and learn something at the same time. Would stay here again.

Colonial Beach Getaway

The area is a quiet town. It was well worth the money to rent a golf cart! The house had adequate space. The spa was relaxing. The house needs some updating. There were no instructions for the Roku remote or the washing machine. The beds could use to be replaced. No closet in the MBR. Floors weren't cleaned. Futon was not comfortable. The blinds in all three bedrooms let too much light in. The 2nd BR had no pull chain for the fan light. The 3rd BR fan was very noisy. There were things in the drawers in the MBR & 2nd BR. The 4th BR had sheer curtains which didn't allow for privacy. Overall we did enjoy our time there and would consider returning to Colonial Beach for another vacation.

Beautiful home for a family getaway

Overall a very nice place to stay. Lots of space in house. Limited parking. Three cars can't fit in driveway. Private beach is a no go to walk to. Too many rocks not much beach area. A great beach area is a short drive from house that worked fine. Washer unfortunately didn't work which caused an issue since we packed light since we had hopes of doing our laundry there if needed. Property manager was very quick to respond when we had issues.

Great house for the weekend!

This house was perfect- it had plenty of room and space to spread out. The kitchen is small, but is well-stocked with cooking utensils. The property manager was SUPER quick with responding and helping us out with anything we needed. The only things that could be improved on were small and overall didn’t impact our stay at all - low water pressure in the shower, limited cleaning supplies (paper towels, dish sponges, etc.). The house itself was very well maintained, beds are really comfortable, perfect location for access to everything while still being in a quiet and private neighborhood. We even made friends with the neighbors behind us! I can see us coming back in the future and booking here again!

Great trip!

My wife was born and raised in colonial beach, so it was nice to walk the streets she used to ride her bike on when she was a kid. The house was great for our 2 1/2 Year old son, there were even a few toys there that he LOVED (a very cool front end loader). The house was nice except a few minor things. We ran out of to tp first day and had to buy a roll at the store, a lighter or matches would have been nice for the grill, the kitchen utensils were a bit lack luster. We still had a great stay in a very cool house! Thanks Cinthia!

Great Little Getaway

Some friends and I rented it for a mini reunion. It is a great distance from everything and has a wonderful screened in area. Manager was quick to communicate. Parking was the only small issue. There is limited space for it, but the home is plenty spacious.

House meet all our needs. Owner notified us of a broken appliances before we got there. That was not a problem for us. We appreciate she was that up front. Colonial beach pretty much closed on Monday and Tuesday. But that was our decision to get away and do nothing. Wish we would have had local cable. House will meet your needs

Fantastic find!

Rented this home to stay at for the weekend of my wedding at a close by Venue. Myself, Hubby and a few close friend really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, spacious house! Loved the hot tub and outdoor fire pit, also, the screened in back patio was a great place to sit around with friends. This was our very first experience doing a home rental and we will always remember our time there! highly recommend! Thank you owners!
