April to November.

"L'OSTALET" is located in a small hamlet of CASTELS, calm and unspoiled, about 2 km from SAINT-CYPRIEN, where there are all amenities, including a renowned market which takes place every Sunday morning.
This charming little duplex house has a terrace and a small garden.

Okay cottage and in beautiful setting

I stayed in this cottage for only 2 nights of my 11 night stay because the Wifi didn’t work and Luciano was kind enough to move me to the much nicer cottage next door. This cottage was sort of okay but not great. The exposed beams of the place are charming. The bed was comfortable and clean. But the skylight above it, which was the only source of light and fresh air, was awkward to open/close. The bathroom was lovely with a skylight over the shower. But the ceiling is sloped sharply over the toilet - so as a male standing, I had to bend my head while using the toilet (I’m not very tall either) while using the other hand to hold up a toilet seat that kept falling down. The steepness of the stairs mentioned in the listing was no problem. But the slope of the ceiling is such that one cannot stand straight up near the top of the stairs. You have to bend your head and also turn your body to get off or onto the stairs. Downstairs has two pretty doors that open onto nice stone terraces. But there is limited natural light in the space which makes the room feel quite sombre except on sunny days. The partial photo of the kitchen on the listing doesn’t show how small it is. There is very limited counter space and the narrow kitchen floor is raised by 5-6 inches which makes it a little tricky to maneuver on. The cottage next door is fantastic. It’s brighter, has better stairs, a large, modern kitchen with dishwasher, and a more comfortable living space.

Le gîte est dans un petit hameau tres calme au milieu de la verdure . L hôte est fort sympathique et de bon conseil. Je recommande fortement.

Der untere Raum war feucht und muffig, der obere ziemlich warm. Das Badezimmer war nicht gut geputzt. Aus dem Inserat ging nicht hervor, dass es nur einen 2-Platten-Herd gibt und die Küchenzeile kaum Platz zum Vorbereiten bietet.

Logement au top !

Je recommande. Notre hôte était aux petits soins et très agréable ! Je lui conseillerai juste de préciser que le lige de maison est fourni (ce qui n'est pas un reproche :) ). Ce logement est idéalement situé, à l'écart de la ville (voiture obligatoire) et un itinéraire GR passe juste devant. La bâtisse est très mignonne, typique et confortable. Le seul équipement qui aurait pu nous faire défaut est un four mais en dehors de ça, rien à reprocher ! Quand nous reviendrons dans le coin, il sera possible que nous choisissions à nouveau ce lieu. Cordialement Julien
