Tropical 1 Bedroom Cabana on Private Oasis
A unique seaside oasis all to yourself! Wake to the waves on your own private beach, and retreat to your spacious cabana with open concept living and fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and seperate bedroom. Adult only resort. Newly constructed pool in 2023.

JJEM Cabanas is located in Maya Beach on the Placencia Pennisula, 3 hours from Belize City airport & 15 minutes from the local airport.

JJEM Cabanas is a boutique resort in Maya Beach, Placencia, Belize. We currently have two cabanas available for guests, both identical with the exception that our Autumn cabana has a convertable bed that can be set up as a King or 2 XL Twins.
Each cabana has a fully equipped kitchen: a full sized refridgerator with a top freezer, oven/stove with pots and pans, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, slow cooker, blender and all kitchen necessities such as dishware and utensils.
The main living area has a comfortable couch with a 55" Smart TV that looks out to your seaview patio with comfortable outdoor furniture. A neat feature we installed is the blue tooth audio fan, to keep you cool while you listen to your favourite hits!
The bathroom has a full shower with on-demand water (it takes a little bit to heat up), toilet and vanity. The first aid kit is located under the sink with the complimentary hair dryer.
The seperate bedrooms at the back of the cabanas have 32" TVs mounted on the wall for cozy and easy bedtime watching. The air conditioning unit is also in the bedroom, with two breezeway doors open, it will cool the entire cabana quickly.

The story of JJEM (Jessica, Julia, Ed & Michelle) took years of dreaming and working hard to get to this beautiful country of Belize! Our little family grew up in the Northern Woods of Ontario, Canada, a little place near Emily Park in a maple sugar forest in the town called ‘Omemee’ (the birth place of Mr. Neil Young). Ed and Michelle met when they were 26 and 19 respectfully, not long thereafter they married and had a couple baby girls.
After several winter getaways to the Caribbean, Ed and Michelle said, “HEY, what the heck... why are we living in this snowy wonderland... let’s just sell everything and move somewhere warm and work!” Searching for the best spot, they came across Belize and visited in 2016 on a discovery trip and fell in love.
We chose Belize because it is an English speaking country, land title for foreign ownership was legal, creating a LTD company here was viable and the immigration process was fairly straight forward. The adventure began and now we are LIVING THE DREAM here in Belize, busy building our small Cabana Boutique Resort: www.JJEMCabanas.com With the majority of the work at JJEM being done by Ed himself, it has his blood, sweat and heart built in every corner.
