Your private, cozy penthouse is the entire top floor of a Mediterranean-style, private home. Your terrace has an outdoor shower and a traditional Mexican shelter (palapa) with table, chairs and a mini-bar. You're in the center of town but only steps from cafes, restaurants, shops, a grocery. Nearby is Hidalgo Park, the Malecon (boardwalk) and Playa Camarones, a sandy beach.
In the winter, you may catch of distant view of whales frolicking in the Bay, so bring your binoculars. When you want a bite to eat, you can order a delivery or step out and sample the restaurants nearby.
A few minutes away by taxi, you'll find the Zona Romantica -- our charming downtown, or Versailles, an emerging neighborhood of cafes and restaurants to the north. With more than 1,000 restaurants, Puerto Vallarta offers everything street food to gourmet selections in elegant and refined settings.
In your cozy bedroom at Villa la Vista, you'll find a comfortable, queen-sized bed (Mexican beds are a bit smaller than US beds) and a bathroom with shower. Your penthouse is stocked with coffeemaker, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, snacks and bottled water -- and there's more water in the mini-refrigerator in the bar.
At Villa la Vista, a locked door separates the penthouse from the lower two floors of the house which is the owners' unit. the Common stairs and a hallway take you to your penthouse. Water in your unit is safe to drink, according to official tests, but we provide bottled water as well as a water cooler on the landing.
In the evenings, your penthouse provides a perfect spot to catch the sun slipping below the horizon, the glow of the sunset spreading across the sky and the twinkling lights of town piercing the darkness. And as evening comes to a close, fireworks burst across the night sky, courtesy of the Marigalante, a three-masted galleon sailing Banderas Bay.
