About this property

Quiet Countryside Getaway!

Blackberry Meadows is the name we have given our cherished 5 acres of property. It has been in the family for over 35 years and currently has three generations living on it. Our property is "off the beaten path" backing onto the Trans-Canada trail and open fields which boast the spectacular views of Mt. Baker. Grab a handful of wild berries and enjoy walking the trails just off the back of our field. If you're a nature lover and enjoy the QUIET, this place is for you!

Our guest suite is an open concept studio boasting a cozy river rock fireplace, rain shower, kitchenette, queen size Murphy bed, desk space for business trips and your very own private outdoor balcony overlooking the property as well as the majestic Mt. Baker.

Although not a full kitchen, the kitchen is stocked with a mini fridge, freezer, Tassimo coffee maker, dishes, utensils, a hot plate, toaster oven, pots and pans, kettle, a few snacks, drinks and microwave.
If you let me know ahead of time, I can have a pac'n play set up for your little one, as well as some age appropriate toys.

We value privacy and respect and hope during your stay you feel at home, like family, and come away having been refreshed and renewed. If you need us to help with anything or answer questions, we are available!

Beautiful Retreat Nestled in Nature

Lovely private getaway

We had a great time! The suite is attached to a separate workshop, not the main house, so it was even more private than we anticipated. Very quiet and peaceful, with a lovely soft bed and nice balcony to take in the view. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us!

An Amazing Getaway Location

We have made use of this beautiful spot a few times now - when we have had to travel for business but appreciate a rural retreat with a gorgeous view at the end of the day. It has everything needed for a couple who loves nature and hiking and appreciated an attractive spot to work virtually!

Private Retreat Setting

What a wonderful place away from the bustle of the city. Perfect in every way! We enjoyed the privacy and quiet. The hosts were friendly and available if needed. We stayed for three days and wished we could have stayed longer. A truly delightful property!

Stunning Location

This family acreage was clean, quiet, and had the most breathtaking views. The owners were thoughtful and helpful, even assisting me with my car when the battery died. I will be back for another restful weekend in the future!

Peaceful, quiet stay.

Our family stayed on the property while visiting family in Abbotsford. After the hustle and bustle of a busy city, it was a joy to come back each evening to the tranquil, manicured property and look out at the magnificent view from the large deck. The unit itself is nicely designed, private, and clean. Looking forward to our next stay.

Peaceful and Relaxing Getaway

Highly recommend this wonderful spot! The guest house had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. The fireplace and living room area were so cozy and the bed extra comfortable. We appreciated the friendly and prompt communication from the host, Sonja, as well as the lights and fireplace being left on to greet us for our late night arrival. This property is beautifully maintained and quiet, located in a rural area outside Abbotsford. We loved the green all around us and had a great time at one of the wine tasting places just down the road (Singletree Winery). Abbotsford is a short drive away, with a great downtown with lots of restaurants and shops to explore. After staying here, it's no surprise that this property has a long list of perfect reviews!

Relaxing

We absolutely loved staying here. We came up for our anniversary and it was more than we expected. The area is really nice and the view was breathtaking. The property was very well kept and very serene. It’s in the country but also only about 10 minutes from any store or restaurant you need as well as a couple nice wineries. The owners are also very lovely people, kind and welcoming. It was an amazing couple of days and we hope to come back!

Very Quaint Rustic Home

Spent a nice weekend here. Very clean and spacious. Had all the little things you may need like a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle, king size bed, and even a futon pull out that works for extra guests in the sitting area. Beautiful large upper deck where you can sit and enjoy the sun. Plus an old piano to play some tunes. Great communication from our host Sonja who addressed all our concerns. Thank you for having us at your lovely home!

Gorgeous views

My family and I stayed at this location for the last 4 days. They had a pack n play all ready and set up for our baby once we opened the door and age appreciate toys left for our toddler. Property was amazing, we felt very at home and comfortable. Bed was comfy and the room itself was very clean. The view is absolutely amazing and the family is so nice and welcoming. Though we were very busy throughout our stay driving into the city and going on adventures, we always looked forward to going back to our little “home” for 4 days to relax and sleep after a long day. Would recommend staying here and we will definitely be returning !

Sonja was quick on the replies and really delightful to communicate with. Instructions for getting to the property were clear and it was very easy to settle in. Really loved the space and had everything we needed for a weekend out of the city. Best gas fireplace I’ve ever seen! The views over the property are also stunning. I’d recommend try to check in before sunset to get the best views.

My sister and I recently had a two night stay - we were very comfortable and enjoyed the roof deck very much. Great view of Mt. Baker. The location was perfectly central for all that we were doing - including a hike down to the river!
