Château des Lutz: guest rooms

The Château des Lutz is a character house whose charm comes from a harmonious combination of architecture from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Louis and Séverine du Tertre, the owners of the place, welcome you in a family and authentic atmosphere. In this exceptionally preserved setting, a follower of sustainable development, you can recharge your batteries and enjoy nature in complete freedom.

The Chateau is surrounded by beautiful expanses of meadows and wide alleys. The place is suitable for prolonged quiet stays, but also favorable for a short stopover on your journey in the Pays de la Loire. The Lutz site includes five guest rooms and an 18th century dovecote transformed into a rural gîte which can accommodate up to 6 people. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and a table tennis table.
About 3 hours from Paris via the A11, and close to the town of Château-Gontier, the estate is ideally located for many historical and cultural sites such as Chenonceau, Château du Lude, the castle of Angers and its Apocalypse tapestries, the vineyards of Anjou, such as the Château d'Epiré, Mont St-Michel, the Normandy landing beaches, the 24 hours of Le Mans circuit, the Mondial du Lion d'Angers , Craon horse racing…

You can alternate sports and outdoor activities. The village of Daon offers boat trips on the Mayenne, pedalos and canoes rentals, a horse club and an 18-hole golf course 15 km away.

The Château des Lutz can also receive you for the organization of seminars, receptions and weddings in Mayenne. We support you in the organization and can put you in touch with our partners.

It was a historic setting in beautiful countryside though the old Chateau was very old and we were put in a musty room with no air circulation. The host was very inhospitable constantly arguing he didn't hear about Vrbo and demanded we pay him in cash even when I showed him Vrbo had withdrawn the money from my credit card account. We left after the first night with him chasing after us trying to force us to go to Daon instead of Chateau Gontier where we were to attend a wedding.

Excellente expérience de dépaysement total dans un cadre historique et naturel qui nous a transporté au siècle de Balzac dans un décors de roman. L'accueil très aimable de notre hôte, un gentleman farmer aux manières "Grand Siècle", nous a d'emblée mis dans l'ambiance. Sa conversation dans le grand salon de sa propriété bicentenaire nous a captivés et le charme des vieilles pierres et des boiseries d'époque a fait son effet. Après une nuit très calme dans une chambre au décors ancien mais au confort tout à fait moderne, nous avons regretté de devoir partir. Nous recommandons ce séjour aux amateurs de voyage dans le temps.

Turn back time!

Character and charm! Unusual property with rustic charm. The long driveway to the Chateau takes you back into and through nature. We saw deer, lots of bird life including large birds which we think were buzzards. Contented cows and a beautiful rural setting. Our host Louis was welcoming, interesting and good company. Thank You!
