We came to Luray to visit friends and family. The cabin was the perfect landing spot for us to rest. It’s a very peaceful spot in the woods right on the river. Our dog enjoyed it too! We would stay again.
Great vintage cabin. It was clean and nicely laid-out. Only odd thing was that the rules state to keep your dog on a leash, as neighbors have complained. Two neighbor dogs were visiting our cabin and dog every day! And all the no trespassing signs made it impossible to walk anywhere but the access road.
Absolutely perfect. On the second night we grilled and ate dinner on the lower deck and saw a bald eagle "fishing" and a boy deer swim across the river!! We loved our time here. Can't wait to come back!
This cabin was absolutely perfect for my husband and I to escape the city and enjoy true peace and relaxation. The view, the hot tub, the fireplace, the location, the set up of the home with everything we needed... we truly could not ask for more.
If you are looking to take some time "off the grid" (as we had), this is the perfect place. After a day of excitement (ATV, hiking), it was nice to relax in the hot tub, watch DVD movies, lite the fireplace and soak up the peace and quiet before returning back to civilization.

Weekend getaway
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to relax without the kids. The location of the property was great and we enjoyed the quiet. Unfortunately there was no Wi-Fi as advertised and the heat was inconsistent. The warning signs about paying for anything that was lost or broken detracted from a welcoming feel. We would go back to the area but stay at a different rental place.
My husband and I stayed for our 24th anniversary. The cabin is very charming and in a great location. We enjoyed sitting on the dock whenever we could with coffee or to eat meals or just relax and watch the wildlife. Probably my favorite part of the cabin. Location is great since it is very close to Luray and other places we enjoy visiting there.
There was only 1 major issue and the rest were just nit picky things. The kitchen has a decent size spot of mold growing on the ceiling. Probably from a leaky roof. If you are sensitive to mold I would recommend making sure it is fixed before going. Having a kitchen strainer would be nice since we ended up eating most of our meals there. Would make dishes easier to do and dry. The lights in the hot tub did not work and one of the jets was broken. The grill is charcoal not propane.
My wife and I stayed here this passed weekend. We were looking for something quiet and peaceful and this was perfect for us. Beware, there’s not good service here or at least wasn’t for us, so if you need it make sure you have some type of plan for that. We didn’t need it. The cabin itself is beautifully built, truly rustic. The porch and hot tub are amazing. The deck down by the river has some steep steps to climb but we still thought it was awesome to be able to listen to the river and watch for wildlife. The place is so far tucked away into farmland and down a private road you’d never know how close you are to 340 or Luray, but you can get there in 10 mins. Great privacy and peace of mind. All essential cookware included. Listening to the wilderness on the back porch, and the well maintained hot tub were our favorite parts. We will be back one year in the summer to tube the river and in the winter for a colder experience to take more advantage of the hot tub. Definitely would not advise a winter trip without AWD. Overall, this place is awesome and perfect for us.
Had an absolutely wonderful time at this cabin. The town of Luray is cute and the restaurants were great. We needed a nice quite weekend together and that's exactly what we got. It was perfect for two people. Thank you so much!
Donna/Brad were very timely and thorough in their responses. Property was easy to access. Cabin has lovely vintage decor / furniture with modern amenities (central a/c, heat, hot tub). Location is close to local attractions. Overall nice woodsy feel with society in reach :)
Amazing cabin! great location! Donna and Brad were great! Highly recommend this cabin!
