The house was perfect for us! It was right on the river and in a good location for us. The house was very cute and clean. We had a great time and hope to return next year!
The cottage is in a great location with easy access to the St Lawrence river. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the excellent communication with the owners. Cottage is well maintained and has a lot of nice little touches that made our stay enjoyable - especially the fire pit down by the river! Plenty of room for a truck towing a boat - a bit tricky turning the rig around down by the house, but manageable. Overall a great stay.
This best thing this property has to offer is the location to the Seaway. This includes a dock for boat mooring and swimming, excellent views of the water and big ships passing by, high shrubbery for privacy and bird watching, and a front row sit to all sunsets. It is also in close proximity to grocery stores, roadside stands, Bolton Castle, and Black Lake. These are things we either did or visited.
My husband and I grew up on the St. Lawrence River and look forward to returning every summer. The hosts were very prompt when we needed advice. We were so excited to introduce the grandchildren to this special place. Another generation will love the amazing St. Lawrence River! Thank you Dylan and Autumn.
My friend and I had such a lovely, relaxing time at this river cottage. This little gem is very well appointed. Lots of privacy and a great dock. Thanks for sharing your special place.
Very cozy cottage. Nicely appointed & decorated. Winderful linens. Comfortable beds. Awesome dock and pretty lawn and grounds. Lots of windows and fans. Very responsive host.
The cottage is very spacious and comfortable. We loved the front porch to watch ships, side porch that is screened for early morning coffee and the back porch for storage of supplies, cooler and shoes. It rained a few days so we only used one of the two fire pits. The dock was nice to have our boat and kayaks readily available. The one downside - Parking was an issue when having our parents come to visit - very limited space. Overall a wonderful week on the River!
Great cottage with updated interior ... just lovely. The location on the River couldn't be better ... the views are spectacular. Extremely comfortable all throughout ... from the bed to the living area to the sun porches (yes, there are 2!) The kitchen was so well equipped ... anything and everything you could possibly need. The chairs on the dock were great to sit and enjoy the water. Plan to return next year!
Cute cottage and loved our stay. Beautiful view of the Saint Lawrence (bring binoculars if you enjoy watching the ships!) from the sunporch as well as the screened in porch. 40 steps down to the dock. Plenty of space to tie up a boat, and the Morristown boat launch isn't far. While we saw a number of large ocean-going vessels passing by, there was actually very little smaller boat traffic out front. Nice for fishing and boating. Firepits out back and in front. If the weather is nice there are lots of places to spread out. If the weather isn't nice, there's still plenty of room for 4 or 5 people. (And Netflix is on tv). Two window air conditioning units cool the place down. One slightly weird thing... frig and freezer are both college sized. Don't buy lots of groceries until you know what space you have. We'd rent again and recommend to others.
This cottage is even better in person. The day room is a bonus. Great viewing and comfortable. Screened in side porch. Roomy dock. Everything you need is provided. It is Close to the gas and convenience store and to the near by small city. Would definitely recommend this cottage. Dylan is responsive and very helpful. Thank You for a nice week!!
We had a great time. Very clean. Nice location on the water.
Everything was smooth. For those going GPS will tell you to turn down Sunset. There is a driveway right before Sunset coming from the West. Seemed like a lot of lights were out but we made it work. Had a lot of fun. Would rent again.
We sat on the dock almost everyday, watched the ships go by and enjoyed swimming in the clean, cool, weed free river! Very relaxing!! Definitely would rent this property again!!
We enjoyed the river! The cottage has lots of spaces to sit, read and relax. Kitchen was well laid out and easy to work in and WiFi worked well for our son’s online class. Public boat launch close by too.
We did wish that there had been a queen bed in the master but everything else made up for it and we will stay here again
