What a picturesque setting. An amazingly cozy cabin stocked with everything you need. We played games, watched movies and sat around and enjoyed our friends. Close to Leavenworth but far enough out that you feel like you are in your own Hallmark movie, surrounded by snow, but cozy inside!
Absolutely amazing cabin in such a magical winter wonderland! The accommodations were wonderful and Joan was so friendly and kept us informed throughout the stay. Five stars! Will definitely be coming back!
We stayed here for a mom/ladies getaway weekend. The cabin was well-stocked, clean, with an easy check-in/out process. The owner was a great communicator and friendly. We loved our iur mini-vacay!
We had a terrific stay! Two families with four elementary-school aged kids. We did XC skiing and sledding, saw the lights in Leavenworth, and enjoyed cozy evenings watching movies and playing games. Perfect spot, nice and clean, easy to communicate with our hosts.
This was our first time in Leavenworth and loved the location! The cabin was perfect..just across from the river and 30 min from downtown Leavenworth. It was a much needed vacation away from CA and recon for our new forever location. Thank you!

Excellent place to stay!
Very well kept cabin! Everything from sheets, couch, carpets, etc...are very clean.
Quite and has beautiful views. Kitchen was stocked with utensils, and every amenity you want for your getaway. Across from a beautiful creek/river. Surrounded by beautiful areas to go for a walk, run, hike, etc...
Joan provided a comfortable home away from home in the midst of a picturesque setting. All the necessary amenities were included making our stay comfortable. I would definitely reach out to take advantage again. Thank you for making our family vacation memorable!
Our family just spent a wonderful extended weekend at the White Pine Cabin, celebrating the 4th of July. This property has everything you need to enjoy a relaxed and peaceful moment with your people. The house is impeccably maintained inside and out, with all the amenities. We loved relaxing out in the sunny yard and then eating dinner on the private front porch, with pretty views all around. Joan is an excellent host and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed exploring the nearby town of Plain, Lake Wenatchee, and the Wenatchee River; the Icicle Creek recreation area is nearby as well. We hope to come back to this beautiful home and play in the snow next winter. Thank you, Joan!
We can’t say enough good things about Joan & our stay at White Pine Lodge! The photos in the listing do not do it justice! It’s a great home & a beautiful property. We went for a weekend in the snow and the weather did not disappoint! The large mudroom was the perfect size for all 7 of us to transition out of our snow gear after playing outside. The house had everything we needed and was extremely clean. Joan made every interaction informative and easy and shared all of the details via phone call before we arrived. We appreciate her taking the time to make it all so simple for us. We would love to return in the summer and stay to experience a different season. We highly recommend booking with Joan and we will definitely be back!
We loved our time at this cabin! It is a beautiful property just outside of Leavenworth. We enjoyed snowmobiles, sleigh rides and the town of Leavenworth at Christmas time. We also enjoyed much needed down time! Some Christmas movies, snow ball fights, chili and a few walks in the snow. The only thing that I would add to this cabin is a Roku or some sort of streaming device (we ended up buying one), WIFI is really good. Then my boys were able to watch football and we could watch whatever Christmas movies we wanted. The kitchen has all we needed. The beds were warm and comfortable and the cabin is very clean. The owners were very responsive to questions. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful, well stocked home north of Leavenworth. Cosy in the winter with plenty of room inside for 7 of us and lots of space in the front yard to play in the snow. Leavenworth is beautiful in the Christmas season! The roads are plowed periodically, but we'd highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle, as there was a lot of new snow one day. Great family trip and gorgeous surroundings!
I stayed at Joan's place from Friday to Monday with 5 other adults' (6 total) for a weekend of going to Lake Wenatchee - which was only a ~10 minute drive, and floating the river in Leavenworth which was about 30 minutes from the place.
The Host:
Joan was an amazing host - a hand written welcome card with the special touches of why we choose to stay in someone's home and not a hotel : snacks and drinks and just very warm and welcoming. Checking in was super easy, as was wifi and cleaning products and towels and everything you can imagine - I didn't have to reach out once for any questions! The check out procedures were minimal and it was beyond a pleasant stay - never ran out of movies or games.
The property:
Perfect for our group - in fact, 2 friends wanted their own space so one slept i the loft and it was plenty of space. The backyard and deck are probably the best features - plenty of grass for lawn games - the house even has cornhole in the garage! The deck was great for morning coffees and drinks, as well s late night drinks for cool air. Kitchen was fully stocked w/ everything we needed, knives were plentiful and sharp. No complaints!
The Location:
perfect- it was about ~10minutes from Lake Wenatchee for a great lake day, picnic. There is Just Plain grocery for emergency needs about 15 minutes away, but note if you want produce or major items, I'd hit up the Safeway in Leavenworth which is about 25 minutes away. There is so much space, you can't hear neighbors, cars - even though you can see the main street - it's just very quiet and serene.
Loved the experience of our stay. The owner of the property was incredibly supportive of our changing plans and number of guests and made sure to accommodate our changing needs to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The house is very well kept and neat and we could enjoy the much needed vacation.
Will visit again some time. :)
We had a nice stay - kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and beds were comfy. The location is very pretty. Just some room for improvement - the tp is one ply which many in the group complained about, there were no sponges in the kitchen. We were also surprised that the listing was not clear about the use of cameras.
It was perfect for our family! On a large piece of property so we were able to bring our outdoor screen and projector to watch movies without disturbing the neighbors. Loved the covered porch with plenty of seating outside. About 25 minutes from downtown Leavenworth but worth the drive. Our family had a great time!

My husband and I are locals to the PNW. We love the outdoors and the many activities that Leavenworth offers. We alpine and XC ski as well as snowshoe. Plain and Leavenworth have an amazing XC/snow shoe network of trails. We enjoy hiking and biking as well. We have been enjoying traveling and seeing the many other beautiful places and cultures. I have been hosting for many years and I enjoy sharing the home and our area that we love with others.
Why they chose this property
When I was deciding where to build our vacation home, I wanted it to be a short drive from the Seattle area and a location that offered activities year-round. In the winters you will find us most days XC skiing on the many state and privately owned groomed trails. Leavenworth all lit up in winter is magical! Summers we love hiking and biking or floating the river. Lake Wenatchee is a beautiful lake just down the road and offers a sandy beach for relaxing.
What makes this property unique
White Pine Lodge has a peaceful relaxing setting. A bit removed from the hustle and bustle of town and close to the skiing opportunities. The Village is a 20-30 minute picturesque drive away. The drive through Tumwater Canyon on Hwy2 is a bit longer but takes you along the Wenatchee River. The drive through the Chumstick and Hwy 209 is shorter and pastoral. Our home is easily accessible in the winter which provides peace of mind. Being a log home with decor that reflects the mountain retreat that it is provides interest and contrast and we hope a restorative environment.
