The house is very old, dark, and the floors creek as you walk over them. It is located in an old neighborhood. No smoke or carbon monoxide detectors anywhere. The range hood does not work So no light or fan over the stove. The coffee pot did not work. No kitchen towels and few bath towels. No where in the bathroom to set anything down. Like your toothbrush. It was however, clean which was a plus.
Arrived in the house with a temperature of 55’. And it took over 4 hours to bring it up to a comfortable temperature. The beds were comfortable, lighting was poor, and in general, there should have been more instructions about television operation, and kitchen faucet. The house is old and therefore the heating zones were inconsistent. Wine glasses but no opener.
Loved our little casita. Our beds were a little firm for our tastes but everything else was great. Loved the location with easy access to Mesilla Old Town which was our major focus.
This is a quiet, centrally-located adobe house - feels like it belongs in Las Cruces. Nothing fancy, just homey.
Carla quickly took care of my requests.
I rented this place partially because me and my dad were visiting my brother and sister-in-law, but i also chose it because it was really close to my brother's place. It was a nice stay and would definitely consider going again.

Convenient Location
Perfume smell in left bedroom. Trouble backing out drive way because of pavement. Missed info on your message. The checkin info was very poor. Would be nice to have coffee.
Cute litte casita , central to everything. This littke homeb was perfect for our needs, had all cooking items needed and linens and close to shopping and highway. Would definitely stay again. The train at night wasn't that big a deal.
We stayed at Vista Shay for one week. The location is perfect for an easy walk to the downtown area. The neighborhood is quiet. Even the early morning roosters didn't bother our stay. The kitchen was well equipped, which made it easy to cook some of our meals.
We had a lovely time here! Spacious bungalow with well-stocked kitchen (plenty of pots, pans and cooking utensils plus some Tupperware for leftovers). Easy to stream movies using Chromecast or Apple TV.
Lots of room here and very clean. The host was very responsive. Would stay again. Great neighborhood, too. Had some problems with the internet connection, but I think those will be taken care of, as we mentioned them to the host.
The house was very near the downtown market. We enjoyed walking to the market. The older house was an interesting mix of the old and the new. We would stay there again.
Great location. Checked in early, so the lock box number was incorrect. Carla was fast to fix the issue. Could easily accomodate 4 adults. Will likley stay here again if available during our next visit.

OK for a quick stay
The homeowner has done a great job of renovating an old house with modern upgrades. The decor is nice, and the couches are comfortable for lounging. Everything was sparkling clean.
We had to contact the owner for check-in instructions. We arrived after dark, and the property was pitch dark. The parking instructions were wrong; the carport is on the right, not the left. But we couldn't even see it, let alone the sign to look for. It was very hard to open the lock box with no porch light. Inside, we had to stumble around the house searching for lamps.
The TV only has a few local channels, so we couldn't watch our favorite shows. However, the Wi-Fi connected easily and worked great.
The kitchen is well-stocked, but there was no coffee.
We chose to sleep in the back bedroom so we wouldn't hear the barking dogs so much. But a train went by the back of the house twice during the night, blaring its horn.
We never heard from the homeowner again to find out how we were doing or offer any help. We're the kind of people who figure things out for ourselves, so we simply went on our way the next morning before the sun was up.
Inconvenienced with maintenance issues.
Odd check-in 4 pm/ check-out 10 am times, 6 hours short for 1 day stay. Good if you like being woke up by train that blows horn.
Carla is a great host. I had accidentally left a few belongings back at the home and Carla helped me get them to a relative who lives nearby.
Super spacious home with all the amenities you need—large frig, huge wide screen TV with Netflix, big kitchen and dining area and many many closets to hold all your stuff!
Great location, minutes away from Starbucks and many other stores and restaurants. Also very clean and nicely designed interior! Plus there’s a car port for your car.
Definitely worth the money.
