Rustic home on 51.45 acres with substantial creek, walking trails, hunting, views, as well as, Hanging Rock, walking "track" , furnished deck by creek, fire pit, wood stove, furnished back porch,furnished front porch, privacy gate, grill, whirlpool bath and commercial stove, flower and vegetable garden. Small working farm. Lots of wildlife. Quiet and dark for star gazing. People who appreciate nature, the environment, farming, and being outdoors while enjoying distance from people, conveniences, internet and television are best suited for this property.
**Although I usually make fresh sour dough bread and occasionally interact with some guests, the home is not a bed and breakfast or shared with owner.

Fall Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay on this quiet farm. We hiked the property and hanging rock state park. Sat on the porch sipping coffee and listening to the morning sounds. At night the outdoor fireplace is a great place to sit star gazing. Definitely a wonderful place to unwind and Ronda was so easy to work with.

Hanging rock trip

Pretty cool farmhouse on 52 acres, easy drive to hanging rock state park. Owner was wonderful and gave us tomatoes fresh out of her farden.

Cute rustic farmhouse

We were looking for a landing place during a trail race weekend, and this was ideal! Ronda was so welcoming and responsive and provided us with a thorough manual for the house. Heads up that there is limited WiFi in case that's a priority.

Wonderfully Unique & Comfortable

We were very pleased with the property, host and homemade bread. The house is wonderfully unique and as described. The enviroment was comfortable and made a great home-base for our trip. We plan to stay here again.

Beautiful farm and farmhouse with peace and quiet!!!

Rhonda was a wonderful host, we enjoyed our stay tremendously, can’t wait to return in the fall. If you want to getaway for peace and quiet this is the place!!! Hanging Rock is just down the road for a hiking adventure!!!

Beautiful farm house!

An idyllic, tucked away but minutes from Hanging Rocks (which was our destination) house which was amazing. The love that Ronda has for this place is obvious when you pull in the private drive.

I cannot compliment Ronda and her property enough. This is a great get away from the city. It’s very quaint and kinda old school. Her hospitality and communication was amazing. We will def plan on going back in the future.

Great place to get away!

Ronda’s place is a gem. It was the perfect escape and we enjoyed it immensely. Ronda made sure everything worked well; her bread and farm fresh eggs were a treat! Hope to be back someday!

Planning our next visit already!!

What a phenomenal weekend! The property is amazing! The host was great! We needed to be close to Hanging Rock to drop off son,an avid hiker, off for a month long adventure and we found this place! Our pup loved the freedom to roam and explore that she could never enjoy at home! We loved the serenity and the feeling of being surrounded by nature's beauty! So close to home for us, we are already figuring out when we can come again, just to decompress!!

Fantastic stay at the farm house!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! Ronda welcomed us with fresh, homemade bread that was absolutely mouth watering! My two young children thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with the farm cats and seeing the chickens and rooster. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice, quiet escape to the country from the fast, city life. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Couldn't ask for a better reset from everyday life!

Second visit to the cabin/farm and just as amazing as the first time. Homemade bread pumkin pie and sweet potatoes from the garden left for us from Rhonda. That place is definitely out dream home. :) Can't wait for another visit.

Beautiful property

This is a great place to unplug and enjoy nature. The property has hiking trails to a creek, a garden, some chickens and a few outdoor cats who are very nice. Property manager is very helpful and friendly. The house is nicely equipped and comfortable.

Quiet peaceful

Super nice host, beautiful property, true mountain get away. We were able to get to hanging rock state park in 15 mins and had a blast exploring the area. 4 waterfalls in a day. Gas station 5 mins away bangin breakfast. We definitely plan on coming back

Why they chose this property

Fell in love with Stokes County many years ago and moved here once I found my property. It had to have acreage and major creek. Acquired it the hard way via bank loan... and still paying. It was in really bad shape when I purchased it, but had to have it! No regrets.

What makes this property unique

Off main roads, long drive-way with gate. Nice view, dark at night, quiet, lots of wildlife, Little Snow Creek runs through most of property.
