Everything was wonderful. The views were amazing and being able to stay with my whole family in one peaceful place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Sylva.

Gorgeous views, bird feeders, private trail.

I picked this property because of the Gorgeous views and they did not disappoint! Sunrises for days. Extra bonus was 2 bird feeders to fill and a private trail to the stream.

Beautiful house, beautiful view

Fantastic location, the road up was mostly gravel but little trouble to negotiate with all-wheel drive vehicle. The view was worth the drive! Very comfortable, relaxing accommodations. Great place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Home is within a few minutes of Dillsboro, Sylva, and within 20 minutes of Waynesville. Stop in at Barber Orchard on your way and pick up some apples, have a cup of coffee and an apple fritter! We had a great visit to the area and will return next year!

Fall vacation w/ family at Wild Bird Drive

What an amazing house and property! We came down to NC to visit family and wanted to have our own place for us and our sweet pup, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, spacious, well-appointed spot. Words and pictures can't describe how great the views of the mountains are from the decks, sitting room, and the lovely hot tub. Although the driveway is steep, it is in good shape and manageable, I would simply recommend doing it for the first time in daylight. The house is very secluded and surrounded by beautiful trees, something that was even more noticeable with the gorgeous changing leaves. We also loved Sally's Trail down to the creek! We really appreciate the owners' sharing their home for such a reasonable price, and we hope to rent again in the future!

Fantastic views!

Views out the back windows and from the hot tub are fantastic!! Once the hot tub warmed up, it was the perfect spot to relax after a long day of hiking. So many great hikes a short distance from the house. Especially loved the private path down to the creek - great spot to enjoy a cocktail and listen to the stream. House is very comfortable and pretty well equipped. 4 wheel/AWD is a good idea for the driveway! Overall great place for a mountain get-a-way!

Very private much needed get-away

This is the second time we’ve stay here. It’s super private with beautiful views. The house is great. Feels like home! The only thing I didn’t care for was the 4pm check-in and the 10am check-out. Felt rushed to get out on the last day. Overall great place but I’ll rethink another stay with the costs and feeling jipped on time.

Beautiful

House was very clean and beds comfortable. Beautiful view of the Smokey Mountains and very much enjoyed our times just sitting on back porch. We also loved the sweet short hike right from the backyard to a lovey bench besides a small creek. Sylva is our favorite little town in the area and it was super close. Highly recommend. Not a lot of spices but the ice maker worked great. All the glasses and kitchen wares you need.

Amazing mountain views

Home was clean. comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we could need. When you first walk in the view of the mountains is breathtaking. My wife thought it was a little creepy that there was no blinds in the main bathroom.you should seriously do something with the road. We had a truck and we had to had to use 4wheel drive.

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

We stayed at Wild Bird View while visiting our daughter at WCU. The house was comfortable, well stocked, and clean with a BEAUTIFUL view! We enjoyed the hot tub, the hike down the peaceful trail to the creek, and the serene surroundings. It is one of the best places I have stayed and I will definitely be back!! The driveway is a little scary, but my daughter's old model celica made it in and out with no problems. In bad weather I'd definitely like a 4wd, but we had no difficulties. Absolutely lovely weekend at a lovely house! If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

Amazing! Just what we needed!

The back deck view was amazing! Tho it was the same scene in one sense you could watch the changes through out the day! You could witness the reason the area was called, "The Great Smoky Mountains." You got to see several mountain ranges as the "smoke" cleared on a sunny day. God's handiwork on that open canvas changed many times while we were there. The hot tub was a bonus! You can view the mountains from it. The driveway can be a challenge at first. If it is winter you would want a all wheel drive vehicle.😊 The house is comfortable with lots of room for relaxing and doing your own thing. Read, stream, watch tv or nap! Nice kitchen with most things you would need. We hope to return in the future!!

Perfect! 🍁🍂🧡

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home! The name "Wild Bird View" was a very good description of its location! The driveway was a bit tricky, but became a fun little challenge each time we would come and go! A four wheel drive would be a must if your stay might be in the wintertime! The view...Wow! We hit the peak fall colors perfectly!! Just awesome to sit and really take in God's majesty! We loved morning dips in the hot tub and relaxing by the fireplace each evening. We had everything we needed, except we could not find an iron...but, oh well...it was vacation! We used the wrinkle releaser spray and was on our way! Sally's trail was so neat..we really enjoyed it and loved that it was right behind the house! Our stay was problem free and perfect! An awesome getaway...wonderful memories were made!! 💖

Amazing Mountain View From Nice Home

Our family enjoyed the Mountain View and the well appointed and comfortable home. There was hiking on the property and the hot tub was a plus! The drive up the mountain to the house was an adventure as well. We recommend this property!

Great Vacation Spot

Loved every moment of our time at Wild Bird View. The house was very clean and tidy, and the view is outstanding. Location is very convenient to the highway and to the towns of Dillsboro/Sylva and Franklin. There is a trail behind the house that leads to a small creek and the kids had an absolute blast playing in the water. It was awesome not having to pack up into a car to travel to another location. We could just enjoy spending the day at the home playing in the woods. We hope to be back soon!

Lovely getaway

We stayed at the cabin for our early 19th anniversary. I must say the cabin was very clean and cozy. The views were spectacular! Driveway was a little intimidating at first but after a few times it was no problem :) It rained most of the time we were there but we made the best out of it with movies, and card games and cooking in overall a very relaxing time! We hope to rent again maybe in the fall, I can just imagine the view with the fall foliage..

DO NOT Book for WiFi and Jacuzzi

The views were spectacular with the mountains looking different from day to day. The space was set up nice and the nature trail to the creek was beautiful. The 2 filters which I set for my trip included having WiFi, since I was taking online classes and a jacuzzi, since I would be doing daily yoga practice. Upon arrival for my 7 night stay, neither of these worked. I tried calling Vacasa with no response until day 3. They did not offer to have someone come out to fix the WiFi and it never worked the entire 7 days and they had nothing to say about the jacuzzi. Being that I was staying 7 days M-M they had plenty of opportunity to have someone come fix it but they did not send anyone. Although day 4 they called and stated they would give me a $25 per day credit for loss of amenities, which I still have yet to see. They did credit me $85 which if it was for the amenities for the 7 days should have been $175, but maybe that is why Vacasa has you sign a contract prior to arrival stating they won’t refund money due to amenities, because their intent is not to refund or fix anything. I tried to fill up the jacuzzi with the hose to the side of the patio but it was quite obvious that their is a leak in the jacuzzi, it all leaked out the bottom overnight. I read the other reviews which stated, the jacuzzi was not filled on their arrival as well, so 2 days prior to my check in day I sent an email requesting they ensure it was filled, but received no response and obviously they did not check it. Furthermore, be careful with the drive way, some areas are caving in. I would recommend a 4x4 Jeep to get up. I had a truck but my long bed made it a bit scary trying to turn it around to get back up the drive. Vacasa has poor customer service and zero response so I wouldn’t book anything from them again.
