In the heart of Ridgway, yet on a quiet corner, this second-floor condo is located a quick walk to all restaurants in Ridgway, as well as the grocery store, cafes, shopping and parks. One long block from Hartwell Park (also called Town Park) and two blocks from the Athletic Fields and Skate Park, this condo is your perfect basecamp to access attractions throughout the area including skiing in Telluride and ice climbing in Ouray.
Great for couples or a pair of couples enjoying Ridgway's year-round entertainment especially in summer. Families also love the accessibility to the playground, trails, museums, river, and youth activities around town.
Built in 2006, the 1,440-square-foot condo is spacious, well-maintained and modern. From the clean white walls and light wood floors to the granite in the bathrooms and kitchen and the stainless steel appliances, you'll enjoy the sophisticated atmosphere.
A large 13'x13' master bedroom is nestled in the back of the condo for the quietest space, and the master bathroom a great stone tile shower with glass doors, double sink vanity, and separate toilet. The second 10'x10' bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and its own full bathroom, including a tub for those who like to soak.
Our beds not only have light down comforters, as well as Native American quilts and blankets, reminiscent of the Utes and other natives who lived in the area for centuries. Also, enjoy reading some of our Native American books on the shelf.
The living and dining room are in one open floor plan with high ceilings separated from the kitchen with a bar and stools. There's a half bathroom next to the living/dining room for convenience, too. Of course, we provide a few of the basic dishes, cookware and utensils for your use. The large window and double doors out to the deck offer great views of the sunsets and the Cimarron Ridge. Relax out on the deck and you can see Hartwell Park to the north and the San Juan Mountains to the south.
We have wifi hooked up but do not have any TV services hooked up to the TVs. Subscribers to streaming services can use those on the TV in the living room and the secondary bedroom.
This condo is in a building with only three other residential units on the second and third floors (all long-term renters), and offices on the first floor. So, for a downtown rental, it is surprisingly quiet. (There is a hardware store across the street so some trucks pulling up to it can be a little noisy through open windows but barely noticeable through closed windows, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm.)
We believe in striving for zero waste through reuse and recycling. So, please use our recycle bins for cardboard, paper (not napkins or tissues please), magazines, cans, and bottles, and a compost bin for food waste and other compostables. If our plates and utensils are not enough for you or you need some for a picnic, we recommend you buy paper or cardboard (or compostable plastic) dishes and utensils, rather than single-use plastic.
We also provide food containers if you want to use them to take out food from restaurants. Because Ridgway doesn't allow stores to give customers plastic and disposable bags, we also provide a few reuseable bags to use during your visit only - please leave them in the condo when you depart.
The Ridgway area has so much to offer from museums and live music to biking and hiking that you could spend all your time within walking distance of the condo. There are even two shops a block away with bike rentals, and a 10-minute walk up Sherman Street (the main road through town) brings you to RIGS Adventure Co. where you can book a rafting, standup paddle board or fishing trip, guided or unguided. The river trail that starts on the other side of Hartwell Park even takes you to Dennis Weaver Memorial Park and the Ridgway Reservoir.
But, if you want to see more of the area, Ouray is just 15 minutes up the highway and many more trails and jeep roads lead from there. Telluride is just 40 minutes up another highway, and you can enjoy a gondola ride, disc golf and that resort's amenities for the day, and still get back to Ridgway for a great dinner and sunset walk.
For more information about all Ridgway has to offer, go to There, you can plan your whole vacation with the visitors guide or on the separate pages for Arts & Entertainment, Culinary Experiences, History & Heritage, Outdoor Recreation, and Health & Wellness. Oh, yea, did I mention we have a natural hot spring just on the edge of Ridgway? Orvis Hot Springs provides a truly unique experience with non-smelly mineral waters. Plus, our town includes many great massage therapists, chiropractors, hyperbaric therapy, yoga, and pilates.
Our vacation rental is properly licensed through the Ridgway Town government, and our license number is STR2024-01.
