This cozy cottage is situated just minutes from downtown Carlisle offering all of the peace and quiet of beautiful surroundings with the convenience of being just minutes from the local attractions. This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home comfortably sleeps 3 with 1 Queen and 1 Twin bed. This home has been completely renovated in 2019. It offers you all of the modern conveniences of home, featuring an open floor plan a nicely stocked kitchen with an island and a dining area overlooking the woods. Amenities include a smart TV, wifi, covered porch, large deck, fire pit, and plenty of privacy.

Conveniently located just 2 miles off of the Harrisburg pike, between I-81 and the PA turnpike, whether you are here visiting the Army War College, Dickinson College or the Carlisle Fairgrounds this location is sure to please. Just 10 minutes outside of historic downtown Carlisle there are plenty of local treasures including local breweries, distilleries, and many wonderful restaurants that you are sure to enjoy. This location is only 2 miles away from where the Letort meets the Conodoguinet Creek, a Fly-Fisherman's dream and a few more miles down the road from the Yellow Breeches Creek.

Whether you are the outdoor type or just looking for a getaway this Country Cottage is sure to please.

**Please note, if traveling during the winter months, the lane to the cottage can be impacted by snow, freezing rain or other winter weather. While we do our best to keep the lane as open as possible, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is strongly recommended.

Great Quiet, Clean, and Well-Made Retreat

Stayed with 3 friends over a warm fall weekend - the home is very well maintained, stocked, and situated in a cozy and serene clearing on the owner's property. Owner is super easy to communicate with and seemed available for any needs (although none from us). The property has a lot of kitchen and toiletry supplies in stock, and the big porch overlooks a small creek. May be a little hard to locate the entrance drive through their property, but just follow owners instructions and you won't forget after the first time.

Cozy & quiet

We were looking for somewhere quiet to stay while visiting Hershey, Gettysburg, and DC. The cozy cottage was the perfect place to come back to after busy days in heavy traffic! It’s quiet and secluded but also close to everything. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the morning listening to the birds and nature sounds. If we ever come out this way again we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent home away from home!

I am the show chairman for a Jeep show put on by our nonprofit Jeep club at the Carlisle fairgrounds every year. The home was an excellent Place to come back to tour relax and goody good night sleep every night during the show. It is remote, quiet, but very beautiful! And, it’s close to town and places to eat. I will be returning every year if I can.

Family reunion

We were in the area for a family gathering. The house was clean and comfy. The decor was lovely and the surroundings were beautiful. The host was great. Answered any questions right away and were very friendly and helpful.I would definitely stay there again

Beautiful setting!

This is a lovely property. It’s very close to Carlisle but feels far away. The woods are beautiful and the birdsong was wonderful to hear. It is very private and had everything we needed for Dickinson College graduation weekend.

We ended up leaving early due to the many issues. The property was not clean. Many insects were in the unit dead and alive (serious carpenter ant issue too). The appliances could not be used. Microwave was disgusting. The fridge had a terrible smell. The house had a musty odor. There were visible crumbs inside the cabinets and on furniture. Disgusting food left on utensils. The K was moldy/mildewed inside. Stained fabric shower curtain without a liner. The pillows were terribly deflated. There was zero care put into this proper textbook "lipstick on a pig" scenario. Looks nice from photos, but dirty and uncomfortable. Zero window coverings which is not safe at night, nor private. The keys are old fashioned and left unlocked when checking in/out, which is unsafe. They have a disgusting vacuum in the closet which is full of gross dirt. The gravel path to enter the property is not described. Renters should be made aware. Had I known I would not have booked. It's unlit, unmarked, unpaved nightmare to navigate. There was a huge tree limb blocking part of it. Cannot imagine in poor weather. Photographed it all. The worst part is I messaged the host outlining some of these concerns in a very courteous manner to be met with an inappropriate and unhelpful response "thank you for your feedback safe travels." I was not providing feedback, but stating concerns that should be addressed. I also should not have to have paid for the unused night and cleaning fee. No apology at all.

Great place

The cottage was easy to find with the directions the owner sent. It literally has everything you need. All you need is your clothes and food you might want to cook if you don't want to go out to eat. I was looking for a place to relax and get away from everything and this place was perfect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would stay there again

Cozy Cottage in the woods is Right!

Very privately located on property. Owner gave very good info on how to find. The cottage is very nicely decorated and has pretty much anything you need! The only thing that would have been helpful would be to have “hooks” of some sort close to the shower for easy access to towels - but that’s minor! Just a suggestion 😉! Would definitely stay here again and very much appreciated the simplified cleaning instructions- thank you for sharing this property !

Weekend getaway

The cottage feels remote but is minutes from downtown Carlisle. Highly recommend visiting downtown. The area is beautiful. Had everything we needed in the cottage. The pictures reflect accurately. Had a very peaceful stay!
