Soak up the summer sun at this 5-bedroom, 1 bunk room, 4.5-bath air conditioned lakefront house located just 45 minutes from Grand Rapids. This 3,000-square-foot home for up to 20 is perfect for those looking to make memories that last. Whether you spend your days fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or simply gathering with your loved ones on the expansive decks (upper and lower) you're sure to have an unforgettable vacation in this spacious home with over 100 ft of sandy beach on Little Sand Lake!

THE LAKE
Little Sand Lake is an 80 acre all sports lake located near Grant, MI. There are kayaks, paddle boards and a paddle boat included with this rental. A 50 HP pontoon boat is also available for rent upon request. Guests may also bring their own boat(s) to use or choose to rent boats from a 3rd party. There is a public boat launch across the lake from the house.

After a day on the lake, retreat into the living room and melt into the large sectional. As you watch the sun set over Little Sand Lake, you'll be just steps from the fully equipped kitchen. Complete with stainless steel appliances and massive counter space, the kitchen has everything you'll need to entertain any size group.

The master bedroom boasts a flat-screen Smart TV, private entrance to the main deck, and an en-suite bathroom.

Whether you choose to roast marshmallows on the fire pit or go for a walk around the lake, you're sure to make unforgettable memories! With a large yard, 2 decks and an open-floor plan, this house has several gathering spaces perfect for your large group including a pool table in the basement and a game room in the garage with a ping pong table, foosball table, and air hockey table.

Note: During the months of June, July and August this property has a minimum rental of 7 nights with a check in/check out day of Sunday.

SECURITY CAMERAS
The home does have outdoor security cameras. There are no indoor security cameras. There is a security camera located on the front door, near the main floor deck steps, facing the east driveway, facing the lake area and on the basement patio area. The hot tub is within the coverage area of the basement patio security camera. The cameras are for security purposes only and the surveillance data from the cameras is deleted when no longer needed.

60th birthday celebration

My children, grandchildren and Dad along with my friends had a wonderful stay at the Blue Lake House. The hosts truly built, furnished and stocked an amazing vacation home. Everything we needed and more was available in the well stocked kitchen. We so enjoyed the boats, kayaks and paddle boards. On the few rainy days we were entertained by the garage games and karaoke. My daughters were grateful for the 2 high chairs and pack and play cribs that were at the house so they didn’t need to bring those. Sara and Peter thought of everything to make their home welcoming and fun. They quickly responded to any questions or needs that we had.. My family and friends had a wonderful time and it was a memorable 60th birthday celebration week for me. We hope to come back again and potentially fill up more of those bunk beds with additional grandkids. Thank you !

Beautiful Blue Lake House

Our family just finished a 7 night stay at the Blue Lake House. We had 15 people (8 adults and 7 kids) in the house. Our group had more than enough room. The house is super clean, updated, and has everything you could need or want. There are so many games and toys for adults and kids…a great added bonus! The balcony views of the lake is stunning and so relaxing. The owners were so sweet and accommodating to us and went above and beyond. We look forward to returning!

Fabulous for the whole family!

This is our second time here with our extended family of 19, with 11 kids ranging from age 5 to 14. The last time we were there they had three kayaks and this time they had five kayaks! The lakeside, hot tub, kayaks, pedal boats and fire pit are great fun. The trees were turning and beautiful. We go somehwere once a year as a family, and having been in many VRBOs, this is by far the best stocked kitchen. It has every utensil, dish, pan you could possibly want.

We loved everything about this house and property! There were 18 of us total- 10 adults and 8 kids (ages 1-10). Enough bedrooms for all, the kids loved the bunk bed room. House was furnished with anything that was needed but also fun things too- games (board, ping pong, foosball, pool), toys for the little kids. Plenty of bathrooms when everyone needed to shower at the end of the day. So inside was great but we lived outside for the week- was wonderful! 3 tier deck was great. Beautiful views! There is a big table outside which is where we ate almost all meals. So convenient so the kids could come up from the water to eat, plus we didn’t have to worry about a mess inside. Everyone took advantage of the hot tub at some point. The beach, sandy bottom, shallow depth (our older kids could touch out by the floating island), dock, paddle boards, peddle boats, pontoon boat, etc were all perfect! Endless hours of fun every day. Owners were friendly and responsive. They thought of everything with this house. Would highly recommend anyone, but especially families, to rent this house. We are all already talking about next year. Thanks so much Sara and Pete!

Great multi family house

Our three families stayed on the lake for a week. The sandy beach was great for our young children. Lots of water toys for everyone provided by the owner.

Quiet lakeside retreat

This is a wonderful property, myself and extended family stayed here for a week, 15 of us. The house was more than spacious for all of us, great kitchen, tons of kitchen accessories to help with cooking. Full propane tank on grill, multiple fridges, made feeding a large family very easy. Lake was wonderful, we caught lots of fish off the dock. The pontoon was great, perfect for cruising the lake and swimming. Beach is very well kept, very Sandy and weed free, great tree coverage by the beach to help stay cool when not in the water. Area is extremely quiet, and peaceful. No road noise or airplane noise, extremely relaxing and wonderful change of pace. Hosts were very helpful and quick to respond, had no issues at all with rental property, i recommend this place 10/10.

Beautiful lake house!

This was a perfect house for our 16 member family trip (8 adults and 8 kids, ages 5-13). The decks were beautiful and spacious - we ate most meals outside - and the bunk room was perfect for the kids. Great space and great hosts!

Blue house on Sand Lake

Everything was just like the photos on VRBO. Clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed fishing, swimming (though a little mucky) boating and just hanging out together. Owners were responsive to some small things that came up. Great place to spend the week with family.

Great House and Host for a Christmas Holiday

We have a large family with many children and were looking for a location that would house all of comfortably during the holidays and this was the perfect place. The set up with great with 5 bedrooms for the adults and a fun bunk room for the kids downstairs. It has all the amenities, the host have thought of it all in terms of what the house comes with (kitchen gear, bedding, towels, etc), instructions, and helpful tips. We enjoyed our time and the host was also responsive to our questions when they arose. Thanks for a great holiday vacation.

Perfect Large Family Getaway

We had beautiful weather so we were able to use the fishing boat, kayak and paddle boards. Beach area/fire pit area were fantastic. House was perfect for our large family gathering. Great Lake house

This beautiful property was perfect for children. The family’s kids ages ranged from 7 months to 18 years old and everyone had something to do. Everything was clean. There were seasonings in the kitchen and every little convenience of home. The owner really thought of everything a family might need.

Family home built with Love: no reason to leave

This home was perfect for our family. We wanted a place to spend the last week before everyone settled back into college, high-school, and middle school schedules. Though we came prepared with our own dishes and cookware, we never had to use them; the house was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and serve meals. We spent time kayaking, paddle boarding, playing on the homemade slip-n-slide, playing games, having pool and ping-pong tournaments, dancing by the fire, eating at the large family table on the deck, reading in quiet spaces, watching the sunsets, cooking on the blackstone, sleeping soundly in comfy beds, and taking family pictures on the beautiful wraparound porch. All six of our kids, ages 25yrs-12yrs, had a great time; they already want to make a plan to stay next summer when life slows down again. Thank you for sharing your home with us, it truly felt like a home away from home.

Attention to detail…

Our son said it quite plainly, “Best house yet!” We have rented Vrbo properties for years and the Blue Lake House exceeds them all and our expectations. Sara and Peter have meticulously planned, built, furnished and equipped this house with families in mind. It is clean, comfortable and fun. There are big gathering areas and quiet spaces.The kitchen is great, filled with quality pots and pans, dishes and accessories. Our family of 8 adults and 8 kids had a ball. We loved the beach, kayaks, ping pong and more. We can’t say enough about the attention to detail. Thank you Sara and Peter. It was a great vacation!

Annual “fishing” trip gone well

Stayed at the Blue Lake House for a long weekend with my adult brothers and a few friends & cousins… there was plenty of space to relax, and the accommodations were welcoming for a larger group. The property is relatively quiet and the stay was a very peaceful and overall an energizing experience. The outdoor griddle and double-oven setup were ideal for our group. I would highly recommend, especially as the weather gets nicer!

Lovely stay!

We really enjoyed a wintery vacation and bringing in the New Year in this VRBO - the owner was kind and flexible, the property was really lovely and very clean with all the amenities you need! We forgot our pack and play and were so happy to see they had 2 available, along with a high chair and toys! We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub overlooking the lake while the snowflakes fell and the trees were lined in white. We liked the main living area where there was lots of space for everyone to gather, while also taking advantage of the separate nook upstairs for a quiet morning and each of the bedrooms felt like a master even though the bathrooms were shared upstairs. The outdoor space included an excellent sledding hill! The bunk rooms for the older kids were spot on. Thanks for a really great getaway, it was a much needed break for our crew!

We built this cottage in 2018 as a place for our family to spend time together and make memories. For cousins to spend time together playing in the water, riding on kayaks, building sand castles, and playing board games with their Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas. Our desire is to share this with other families (or groups of friends who feel like family) so they can take some time to relax, make memories, and just enjoy being together.
